Yes. Peperone. He's a good bloke and his prices are fair.

they're going well. Crickett now lives in Qld with Marcus' parents and Mr Fat who is now called Obi lives with a friend of Marcus who might show him.

Secret got given 2 pairs of PJs today from a lovely lady in WA who ordered them from the UK but they were too small for her IG. I'm hoping Secret will grow into them because they're a bit big on her. She is 23 weeks old today. 5F6A7931dppt by kirislin, on Flickr mmmmm snuggly and warm. 5F6A7925dppt by kirislin, on Flickr

Nsw To Ban Greyhound Racing From July 2017
Kirislin replied to The Spotted Devil's topic in In The News
I think it's the death knell for all States, it's sure to have a follow on effect. I just hope there wont be a mass cull but I fear there will be. -
that's the one I was going to use but she chewed the corners off it. Now I just leave it there for her to play on. She likes to sit on it and bark.

Nup, no growth spurt, she's only put on 100gms in 4 weeks. Her tail's still bent and with an ugly lump unfortunately. It wont affect her as a pet though, just unsightly, but she's still gorgeous. I've hardly taken any photos. Neko's been weird this winter, she mostly sleeps, rarely comes out, she's like a bear in hibernation. I'll try to get a pic of them together at some stage though.

Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow (Brunfelsia) Plant
Kirislin replied to corvus's topic in General Dog Discussion
I've heard of this plant and that it's poisonous to animals, although I don't know what it looks like. If it grew here my dogs particularly Tag and Puck, would definitely eat it. -
when you say 'the spot' do you mean Blue Range road, or where the 25.6km mark is with the little car?

very cute and the lab looks so soft and gentle with the pup.

Much as I hate to admit it, I must be really dumb! It's freezing here today and I had to go out for a couple of hours. I foolishly left the whippets with access to the kitchen because they were all snuggled in a bed looking so warm and comfy I didn't have the heart to kick them out of there. I should know better as Puck spilt that olive oil on the carpet a while back and now I have a concrete floor with a big oil stain on it. This time I made sure there was nothing edible within reach on the kitchen counter. Silly silly me. I didn't count on one, or both of the boys actually jumping up onto the bench. They're not young anymore and they've never done it to my knowledge, usually they only steal what they can grab by standing on their hind legs. So today I came home to my kettle on the floor, it now has a big dent in it, some borrowed kitchen scales on the floor which thankfully are still working, a box of camomile tea bags shredded all over the floor, some ground egg shell powder all over the floor, 3 banana skins, the remains of a lovely ripe avocado, they got the lid off the big glass pasta jar and some one pigged out on as much uncooked pasta as he could stomach, at a guess about a 3rd of a bag. I suppose I can consider myself and them lucky they didn't get into my medications. That's it! Never again! ......................... 'till the next time.

for those wanting to take their dogs to the snow, pretty good chance of snow tomorrow down to 500metres.

I used to be guilty of sometimes leaving dog bowls out overnight but after the other thread about rat lung worm I've changed my ways. I dont have nearly as many slugs and snails here as I used to anyway now because the chooks eat alot of them. I dont know if they can be affected by rat lung worm though.

He must have been, knowing what deadlines and pressure they're under. That was a great act of kindness and compassion.

It's to do with colour vision in low light conditions Kirislin... the slit allows more light in over the spectrum apparently. Osha has the prettiest eyes I reckon... all dark and soulful... ... and Snow gives the best hairy eyeball... lol! T. Osha has a very different face, much shorter than alot of foxes.

wonderful to see them up close like this. I've always wondered why they have pupils more like a cat than a dog. Do you know?

These were taken by the official photographer at the Champ show. Oh dear, poor little Secret's broken tail stood out like a ..... broken tail, not blaming the photographer for that though. http://minbeemedia.biz/p588889458/h7066d2c3#h7066d2c3 cant quite see it here. She can move well, but she will just be too small I think. http://minbeemedia.biz/p588889458/h755cfedd#h755cfedd and I'm disappointed that the photographer couldn't get an in focus shot of her on the table. Admittedly conditions in there are difficult . http://minbeemedia.biz/p588889458/h7a774360#h7a774360

Thanks Tsd - This House Game Is The Bomb!
Kirislin replied to Two Best Dogs!'s topic in General Dog Discussion
I love it! The multi view was fun too. I need to try that with Secret. -
thanks al99 :) This is Secret this evening playing with the little plug from the top of an avocado. Sorry about the awful colour, still haven't worked out how to change white balance after filming. Maybe it cant be done. You can see the break in her once beautiful tail. Secret making her own games. by kirislin, on Flickr

Filthy, Hungry And Cramped: Alleged Puppy Factory Raided Read More: H
Kirislin replied to Steve's topic in In The News
and to put in a complaint about a breeder with dogsvic I think you first have to pay a very large fee before they'll even look at it. $250 I believe -
The eagle came back again today. I dont think Secret's tail is too sore now, it was a bit painful when she did the 2nd injury, the first didn't bother her at all. I gave her some meloxicam for 3 days but I've stopped it now, she lets me touch the lump so I dont think it's hurting her much if at all now. That's observant of you al99. I've been a bit off the air lately, just going through a rough patch, but things will get better, I keep telling myself that. Thankyou.

Secret is being hyperactive right now, she desperately needs to go outside to burn off some energy, but it's freezing right now and I dont feel inclined to sit out there with her and neither do any of the other dogs. Being so small I think I am always going to have to watch her when she's outside. The other day she was inside and I was looking out the window when a massive (well, they're always massive) wedge tailed eagle came down very low and did several circles over the yard. I'm sure it was looking for her as the chooks were on the opposite side of the house free ranging but it didn't look there, it was patrolling the place I let her go to. So right now I'm letting her make confetti of a newspaper just to give her something to do inside. Birds of prey here are a very real danger for a dog her size. The thought of it just gives me the horrors.

My little girl Secret might have had her first and last show today. She came third, in a class of 3 so I suppose that means she came last. That's not the reason why she might not be shown again, we're not bad losers. Unfortunately she broke her tail last week TWICE!! The very last joint was bent, so I reluctantly agreed to splinting hoping it would allow it to heal straight, but fearing that she might break it again where the splint ends and that's exactly what she did. I could try splinting it again, but I fear she might do the same thing again and end up with a very corrugated tail, so I made the decision to let it heal as it is. It will most likely mean the end to her show career, before it's even started. So here's her one and only ribbon from todays 1st Italian Greyhound champ show. Well done to the organisers. I got to see some of Seekies rellies too. Bipsy has certainly left his stamp on the blacks and sables, the others, I'm not so sure of but he's got some lovely puppies on the ground.
