  2. right ditched that one. How's this? IMG_1183 B&Wt by kirislin, on Flickr
  3. too tight? I think it is but I just thought I'd see what others thought. I liked seeing the dogs body cause he's so lithe and graceful, but maybe that's just cause I'm a whippet enthusiast. IMG_1183 B&Wt by kirislin, on Flickr
  4. I'm sorry you're having camera problems, and I'm glad it's sorted itself out now. I'm really hoping the bolded comment is just a generalisation and isn't directed at anyone on DOL. I've always liked coming to photos on DOL cause I've found it to be a friendly place.
  5. Thanks Linda It was shot in manual. It was a very quick shot, I'd been photographing the running dogs and just glanced over and saw them together. T/V 1/2000 AV 4.0 ISO 800
  6. I tried to do it with the RAW pics in the HDR program and they disappeared so I've done one like I used to. I tried straightening it but the dog looked crooked, if you look at his front legs, they're vertical now. I forgot to crop it, this is how it was in camera IMG_1183 B&W by kirislin, on Flickr
  7. thanks Huga, yes his mum's seen it and loves it. I posted it to our clubs facebook page. I've taken many pics of this boy and his dog, I love the relationship they have together. His mum will think I'm obsessed with them, but they're both just so photogenic and the bond they have really shines.
  8. dammit, that's my friends car! I see now what you mean. I cant reduce the highlights on just one part, it would flatten everything, and the strangest things just happened, I tried to do a B&W version and went through all the steps I usually do to save something, and it's disappeared, so I tried a 2nd time, and that ones gone poof! too. If I find them I'll post one here.
  9. I'll try it in B&W. As to straightening, I am guilty of often taking crooked photos, but I think in this case the ground really was sloping, also, I've only just got the young boys head in and if I straighten it, I'll lose a bit more. Do you think that would spoil it? thanks, I appreciate your opinion.
  10. This was a quick snapped moment on Sunday but I really love it. I've cropped it a bit but not the top edge, that's all I got Editing: basically nil, just the obligatory sharpening that the 7d always needs. I'd love to know how to edit it to make it better, and any other suggestions are welcomed. Feel free to edit it to demonstrate your point. thanks in advance. IMG_1183dpptcr by kirislin, on Flickr
  11. Kids and dogs should grow up together. :) IMG_1183dpptcr by kirislin, on Flickr

  14. I'm afraid that was my thought too. Why put him through this, to what end? Poor little man, you would be doing him a kindness. Awful that you have to be the one to have to make the decision, I'm sorry.
  15. I'll try to remember to bring it along so you can check it out. Here's another photo I took with it. Untitled HDR AN by kirislin, on Flickr
  16. Listed in members market place but I'm not sure if you'd see it there. I just dont use this lens enough. It's in very good condition, and has all the original packaging and manual. I bought 2nd hand and have hardly used it. $350 plus postage I took these photos with it IMG_1117 dpp t by kirislin, on Flickr a typical Lily moment by kirislin, on Flickr
  17. hvorfor kan ikke du forstår meg? pourquoi, ne peut pas vous me comprenez? 為什麼,你能不能了解我嗎?
  18. wow! Phoenix is almost looking chubby!! although I notice on both of them their muscles are still wasted. I wonder if they'll get that muscle back with slow exercise or is it permanently damaged. I love the video of them playing on their progress blog.
  19. I'd love to try it but I couldn't help smiling when I read their speil about it being natural blah blah then I read the ingredients. Since when did wild cats and wolves have smoked and roasted meats
  20. I would love to but WOW it's expensive!!!! I've never done one so I dont know, is that a pretty average cost for a workshop? so if she fills the course she'll make $21,000 for 2 days work. That's more than a years income for me.
  21. Probably between the 2 wide angle zooms depending on the light, are they good in low light? I wouldn't use the 70-200.
  22. Thieves probably wont be sucked in by it anymore though, since it's all over the internet.
