Just one incredible photo after another! I scroll down and think Oh wow! and then the next one Oh wow!! and so it goes.

these Porteen bags really are very pretty. I dont have one but I think from looking at them they wouldn't be the ones you'd carry your camera in to the beach would they? There's nothing to keep the sand out of the bag, it doesn't seal. They're more for carrying your camera on the street or places where it's not dusty or sandy aren't they? I can still see that I could have a use for them though.

Teenager Mauled In Savage Dog Attack
Kirislin replied to DMA's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
I too am wondering why you've posted this in rescue, and what's with the wink and smile. -
that definitely sounds like you overexposed all of them. I can show you how on Sunday.
-
Huh? why not? I was thinking about when you said yours was all white, did you try playing around with the sliders for brightness, contrast etc?
-
are there any Aussies in it?

this was made from 2 images I took on Christmas day. I used the art natural preset in the hope of getting a dramatic but more natural effect. C&C welcome Untitled HDR AN by kirislin, on Flickr

I hadn't bothered to look at the video until now, I wonder if its eyes are even open, it looks very young indeed, and it's going to be big by the looks of its size already.
-
I know it has an unreal look about it, but I like it, not for every photo but sometimes. It reminds me a bit of old hand coloured photographs and also the really old National Geographic photos from the 30's looked a bit like this to me.
-
I've trimmed off some sloppy cloning but I was reasonably happy with the made up cows head and leg that was hidden behind the fence post.
-
this was done with the 3 images. I'm posting the mid range image that was used, there were 2 others but no point in posting them all. IMG_1009 by kirislin, on Flickr and the finished, straightend and cloned HDR version 3imgt by kirislin, on Flickr

the story has got so much publicity I would think there's a reasonable chance the owners of the pup would hear about it and be able to claim it back if they wanted it.

My Other Bititch Got In With Puppies Not Belonging To Her
Kirislin replied to mini girl's topic in Breeders Community
Yay, you've got yourself a wet nurse. That's a win win win. Nanny is happy to be able to feed puppies and mum gets help for such a big litter and you will not have to worry about whether the pups are getting enough nourishment or care. -
7 Week Old Cane Corso At The Off Leash Park :(
Kirislin replied to RiverStar-Aura's topic in General Dog Discussion
Hmmmm....and it seems any idiot can breed and sell any dog too. Yup. -
really well made and filmed and a super little dog. It made me smile when the dog would get airborne just after the bike did, but geeze if the rider or the dog made one error and misjudged there'd be one squashed dog I think.
-
aah, that's a whippet! It didn't occur to me that's what you meant. I thought you must have meant the landscapey pic that's quite muted in tones. I didn't do it in camera with that shot, I dont know if my camera has such a function, I doubt it. I've just been playing around going back through old pics I like and seeing if it does anything to them. The actual program has provision to put 3 pics of different exposures in, and I think that's what I'm supposed to do to do a true HDR but I was just experimenting to see if it would process just one photo, and it does.

do you mean the very first pic I posted? If so, that was with 3 photos and I only use the programs that came with my camera, DPP and zoombrowser, but I updated DPP online. I think it's pretty good but not many people seem to use it. I cant afford to buy extra programs. It doesn't do layers or vignettes but I'm pretty happy with it for what it is.

My Other Bititch Got In With Puppies Not Belonging To Her
Kirislin replied to mini girl's topic in Breeders Community
it's all worked out well. Some motherly bitches actually come into milk when another bitch has the puppies, have you checked her teats to see if she might be producing milk? -
I found an old ad from Teds camera store from 2007. they were selling the Canon 400D with twin lens kit for $1549.95 telling us that we're getting $50 off!!!! woo hoo. Just for fun I looked today, couldn't find anything similar at Teds but Harvey norman are selling the 550D with twin lens kit for $948.

Bout time this got bumped up, I might be adding another to mine soon.
-
Yes, but also incredible natural talent, otherwise they'd never have taken you under their wings. and I agree definitely insure your camera. Mine is on my household insurance. It adds a bit but it's worth it to know I'm covered, even away from home.

that would have been an amazing experience. I love the zebbies in the pinky morning light and the hippo is pretty cool too, and the giraffe and the ellies and and and..........
