  1. Yes, I would definitely continue 2 meals per day but cut them down. I am often surprised at just how little dogs need to eat. I feed about 1 kilo of cooked loaf (my own recipe) per evening between 5 whippets. Within that loaf there's probably only about 300gms of meat, if that, that's amongst 5! If you saw my dogs you'd see they are all fit and healthy. Not overweight, but not skinny. In the morning the 2 bigger boys get about 3/4 cup of dry each and the girls get about 1/3 dry each. It's not much.
  2. that's a pretty spot Annie, the path looks inviting. Makes me want to walk there.
  3. perhaps you can find a forum for the brand of camera you have and some camera geeks can come up with ideas for you. Often someone else has seen the problem before and has a fix. Good luck hope you get it sorted.
  4. Haven't got mine yet but I wanted to ask about the bokeh challenge. those cut out star thingies, will they make the dots of light star shaped? Is that what happens?
  5. flickr is better quality, it doesn't reduce them as much.

  9. wow, it looks fake, like it's been photoshopped, I am sure it hasn't. great shot.
  10. thanks TLC not sure if this qualifies as a landscape??

  14. This was at sunset in April this year. and this was in the evening as a storm was closing in. There were these crazy cloud tendrils creeping down the hillside. Unfortunately it's very noisy as it was evening and especially dark cause of the approaching storm. I was standing in my paddock when I took this and then turned and hightailed it for the safety of my house .

    Help

They will really feel the cold, and it's not enough to have a nice basket or similar with blankets for him to lay on, he needs to be covererd over as well. If you try that and find he keeps getting uncovered get a cardboard box, tape up the openings and then cut a hole just big enough for him to climb through in the side, fill the box with warm blankets and maybe even put a blanket over the top to cover the hole, like a curtain, it will be lovely and warm and dark in there, like a little cave. Plus it doesn't matter if he eventually trashes the cardboard box. see, they like it so much they wont even come right out for the lick cycle.
  16. I beg to differ, I think this is a gorgeous photo.
  17. I'd be inclined to bandage it to keep dirt out of it. From my own experience with dogs cutting paw pads I wouldn't bother with stitching again, but that's me. When Penny did hers I put manuka honey on it and kept it bandaged with a dressing change every couple of days.
  18. thanks Bella and Cavanova, she was incredibly pretty, real chocolate box pretty, almost too much to be real. I can see how a person could fall for one. I had fun taking pics of them.
  19. I'd call that a landscape, it has land in it.
