  1. It’s been such a long time since I’ve posted here. Widget has just turned 10 years old! Neko and Arkey turned 4 in August and Secret is already over 2! How time flies. I called in today and managed to get all the dogs in the one shot. There’s some new faces you won’t know and some dear old ones are no longer with us.
  2. Not really. It will probably be the one that forces me to act. Right now I don’t think he is in pain, but at times he must feel uncomfortable. He has an inoperable growth in his colon that will eventually either bleed continually or just get too big. for now though, he still loves his tucker and the prospect of a walk or a ride in the car, or a game, so we take it Day by day.
  3. Thanks for this. The questions didn’t apply exactly to one of mine but I was still able to apply them. He got 54 but on one he got a 1
  4. I think that’s what macadamias are. I’ve heard they’re poisonous to dogs.
  5. Hooray to the Whippet! Collooney Tartan Tease Best In Show.
  6. a friend of mine reckons dogs wont drink from a bowl where the previous dog who's drunk from it has bad teeth. He reckons their saliva taints the water.

    Whippet

I've never added it up. It also depends on what you do with your dog and how well trained it is, both in recall and fitness. Whippets dont stand much of a chance if hit by a car for example. If you decide to do dog sports or hunting with your dog there is also more chance of injury so these are things to keep in mind. Overall whippets are a healthy breed, at least they were when I bought my last one 18 years ago. They have changed alot since then and I dont know if they have more health problems now.
  8. You got a great view of it. I couldn’t see a thing here it was cloudy all that night.
  9. Are you able to delete or at least edit your original comment so you’re not calling the new member those names please. I won’t repeat them here so they aren’t perpetuated.
  10. It just happens to show bare cement in those photos. They might have bedding and play areas too. The adult dogs look in good condition to me.
  11. Yes, I agree. I think they’re really handsome!
  12. I googled it and there are 2 different breed. The Thai Ridgeback looks heavier boned to me.
  13. Hello. What is this dog used for? It looks like a hunting dog, very handsome too! What do you do with your dogs? wow! I’ve just googled them. What an interesting dog, very rare, even in Vietnam. I read that it is difficult to get them. Do you show your dogs? How many do you have?
  14. Is anyone else being bombarded with invitations to follow new members who’ve just joined flicker and their only photo is of naked women? One is disturbingly young in appearance. I keep reporting them to Flickr and then blocking them but another one messages me! not happy at all.
  15. I wonder why this dog was so savage. Did it need a trigger or was it always like that? I’m not asking here, just pondering. She didn’t even have proper fencing and yet she knew it was dangerous. I have a real fear of dangerous dogs, there are so many around.
  16. I always wonder how they manage to get close to a horse that is going bonkers with either a needle, gun or bolt gun.
  17. Alabama Rot has turned up in England too, so it can cope with colder climates. I hope it isn’t in Australia.
  18. I've researched a bit more and it has happened but not clear how they managed to do it. Markham was to compete in the Tokyo Olympics and was euthanised because he panicked. I don't know anymore details though.
  19. I tend to think it's unlikely, but something else I was told years ago that I wonder about the truth of is that when flying horses if the horse starts to really play up to the point of becoming dangerous they shoot it. But I'm thinking how could you safely shoot a horse that was flinging itself around? The danger would be that you would miss and shoot a hole in the aircraft. does anyone know if it is true?
  20. Where to now? How many humans on this adventure?
  21. I used to walk my whippets and ride my mare along that beach! I swam my mare and the whippets across the river at the end. Very stupid idea, and we were all lucky not to drown.
  22. I was just looking at his tail and wondering if they have special fat tail recipes. Yum yum i love the look of your camping set up, it looks like you're very well organised and equipped. Have a great time.
