  1. Thats always a problem in my clinic, we have a very long narrow building, which means we have a small waiting room. If anyone has no control of their dogs, they are asked to wait outside. Our consult room has two doors so we can take one dog in one door and send them out the other if need be.
  2. I got my tetnus booster recently after cutting my hand open on a coke can (Long story short, the box of cans got broken prior to packaging them for sale, I opened the box, slipped my hand in to grab a can, first can was split fully open down the side). I'm scared of needles but this one was really good, the nurse who did mine at the surgery knows my history and has a fantastic bedside manner. She's the only one who can inject me now, and I never feel a thing! She gave me my Cervical Cancer injection, my Swine flu jab (which I had a really bad reaction too ) and now my tetnus.
  3. a close friend used to work for Don Crosby and loved working with him
  4. I'd try eliminating the canned food (as a trial in case there is something in the can thats not agreeing with him) I'd also try Comfortis as a flea prevention in case the liquid base of the top spots is something he is sensitive to. I'd also look into the t4 and free t4 testing.
  5. I'd be bathing in something like Aloveen to help rehydrate the skin and look into the diet.
  6. Pets at Peace cremated my beloved Mental (Galah). I chose the photo box option for him as I didn't want a ceramic urn, I wanted something a bit more sturdy. He's currently in our china cabinet, I was tempted to spread his ashes, but I want him with me, he was my special guy and I don't want to part with him
  7. I will smack someone if that happens! I've got one bull who can only be moved on horse back as he gets stirry. This whole thing is BS
  8. Yup, thats what I thought reading the first post. Definitely sounds like ingestion of the product.
  9. I give Proheart yearly, worm seasonally, comfortis flea prevention when needed.
  10. My only advice is to avoid Oster A5 clippers as the hand piece gets hot and blows hot air out the back of it. I groom two days a week for my vet hospital and they had bought me a set of A5's as my Wahl clippers were just about dead. I've gone back to my half dead clippers as I can't stand the Osters!
  11. Paige: Pudge Fatty Battatti Fudge Pudgy Paige Serenity-Jayne: Rini Rena Rinity-Roo-Poo Stupid head (when she starts barking non stop!) B**** (again with the barking) Diesal: D Deedel Diesal the weasel.
  12. We've started using PAW brand products here in grooming, and so far no complaints from clients, we've even had a handful come in asking us what we used!
  13. Thank you..... can I ask what kind of treatment she had? I'll have to check with her case vet, but she was on a few different high strength drugs. When he comes from lunch I'll ask him. ETA - Vet just walked in, this client actually had two dogs with severe medical issues, the adenocarcinoma patient is still alive, their other patient had a different type of issue was the one whom we lost. Will PM you with the drugs she's on.
  14. Shepherds - we recently had a patient who was diagnosed with the same thing We fought long and hard for her once she was diagnosed and she lived happily for about 3 months after her diagnosis. She was one of my favourite patients and we've only just said goodbye to her a fortnight ago. She was still in good spirits right until the end, something we were all very glad for. *hugs* I know how overwhelming this can be.
  15. We were told L/d may become unavailable for longer than that. We had the same problem and have had to switch to K.d Z/d LOW is being discontinued and Ultra is being offered as the replacement.
  16. RIP Little one, I hope justice will be swift and hard on the people behind this.
  17. I love comfortis! Best product I've used on my guys. Panoramis is getting some reviews of late and so far so good with the clients at work.
  18. Its the people recommending that drugs be used incorrectly that are liable. Thats who the DPI can sue/fine.
  19. Definitely vet time I think. Hope it goes okay :)
  20. And the DPI are cracking down, so I wouldn't be advertising the fact that vets have recommended splitting of vials as they can face big fines etc.
  21. Oh no L( So not the news I was hoping for you guys *hugs* Feel free to PM me if you need to talk or vent
