  1. TN-Congratulations, no doubt earned with lots of hours put in. CC- how colorful! Trippy! Tangerine Dream- the foal is just exquisite, nice capture! Kirislin- Lovely, I rarely use LV often wondered how many people use it.
  2. Dust Angel I too would get obsessed with the moon..but I dont have the gear to capture it as yet. Well done! Had a slow day, not so inspired to do much at all, weather could have been better. A close up view of the little Common Blue Butterfly 023 Had an industrious day today 3 hrs out in the garden followed by a bake session. Not being a natural cook completing 2 things was something worthy of a photo! 024

  7. Thats interesting..they cant be held liable for loss, injury or death...what if such was a direct result of mismanagement??? Animalia thats very interesting. My friend had in the past been happy with the service of this boarding kennel, this year she is now not so sure she has found a great service. Personally I have friends who house sit house n dogs, so thankfully I dont need to seek out boarding kennels.
  8. No this one wasn't a grey import, purchased in Melbourne. When she purchased she paid for an extra 3 yr warranty...??? I wonder if this is honored by Canon.
  9. My friend has a 50d...it locked up yesterday error 06 (sensor clean error) She tried to reset by removing battery but camera was frozen still. Has sent it off to Canon as advised. Melbourne based. Will the camera be returned as good as new or does she have claims for a replacement (camera is under a year old) What is your opinion on this???
  10. Friday> Getting ready for work, rushing around..ahh the peace of a late morning. I title this "Teenager In da House" 021
  11. The wounds are only requiring dressing, but I like you think that any kennel that defends an injured pet with 'it was like that when she came in" is NOT observing a duty of care and well is not the attitude Id like to hear from a dog carer
  12. Sorry to hear you have lost your much loved companion, mercifully she went in her sleep, knowing she was loved, comfortable and someones special.
  13. Love Oberon doing yoga! He is one gorgeous dog! Edit add....In the first shot he looks like he has a heart print on the top of his head- so sweet!
  14. Collie paws...yummy shot! LuvLottie, beautiful tree. Poor cocky Kirislin..I thought the beak/feather thing was a cage bird disease, obviously free cockies get it too...so sad. TN Congrats on finishing this part of your study...btw..I have this strange pain that comes and...OH WAIT...Ill get back to you in 9 mths! (j/k) Love the sleeping at desk shot, been there...
  15. My friend just got back from a 2 week holiday. On picking up their dog they were confronted by an excited dog, but sporting what looked like raw rope or collar burns on her neck and a foot wound causing her to be lame. Kennel owners didnt contact my friend while she was away...nor did they mention anything until my friend pointed it out. Surprise surprise..they claim the injury was there on admission. Where do you go with that. The dog is now home with them. The kennel got their $300.00 fee before they released the dog...where do you have a right of reply? Other than never go there again???
  16. Im glad when I was nursing I didnt work in a greyhound practice....I could never find any good reason to kill a healthy dog.
  17. Frodosmum I share your pain...i know the frustration of bug stalking. What is the id of the bottom bee????????? Nice shot!
  18. Not often Luci treats Rosie to a facewash, Rosie is just lapping it up!
  19. When Luci has a nurturing moment (rare) Rosie lays back and takes it 018: The dogs go missing when I set up...the only time they dont shadow me 019: Rosies favorite position last night, her reserved place in front of the fan 020:
  20. Kirislin, I discovered these little bees on my lavender plants last month (three of these bees)...at first I was seeing things. I became determined to get a photo..ask the kids...I was obsessed! They are fast, rarely settle and so small! These hyper little bees are hover feeders, unlike honey bees they use a proboscis and take pollen in flight 'hovering rather tan landing. That little blue bottom glows as the light fades! They have a higher pitch buzz more like a blowfly! (aw gawd...I was obsessed huh!) anyways the neighbours have seen me so much with the camera round my neck..Im the crazy poodle lady with the camera now! Took 50 shots to get this...your pics are waaay more cuter!
  21. Is that a hoverfly...I have these in my garden...now I know what they are!
  22. [ Day 20 .... Is it a bird? Is it a plane? .... No, it's just a knucklehead chasing dragonflies Just love it!
