  1. TN thinking of you and your little one. Love the cat drinking out of the tap...my ol cat used to do that. Frodos mum...those color are just gorgeous.
  2. My 2 bitches will only fight if one or the other is in season. As in the case of yours, one was in season yes? Other times they reside together happily, they even share their food bowls. Knowing this they are separated when seasons occur. I was devastated as you were, ive never had any dogs fight (Ive had up to 6 bitch/dog combinations) at once. It was a first for me. All might not be as bad...but as I see above, maybe Ive just been lucky in my situation.
  3. TN I hope all is ok and that it you were only describing the mood in which the photo was taken. Many Lovely photos. LL Love the capture. Nice river shot TangerineDream. My fried does works in oil & patel & would love me to come up with some landscapes to paint like that. She has painted a few of my photos.
  4. Luci making off with Rosies bone... Lead to the desperate "put the camera down and do something face" you see here: my Day9
  5. I like the km 2 speed for my poodles...purchased online at clipperworld.com.au Agreed though the ceramic blades on the Andis are effectively cool, I use metal blades but have many so can change frequently. Im sure they will stock a variety of clippers for you to browse & decide upon.
  6. Yep Ive been known to shower with my poodles....Ive often wanted to try their shampoo...prolly works better than mine!
  7. Luci and I did some gardening early, before the heat hit. Not much inspiration for me today.
  8. Love the pool shot...adorable...actually Im a bit jealous...I want a backyard pool too!!!
  9. This morning Luci did breakfast.surely she knows I like warm brown toast...geeez its been 2 years!
  10. I love the oldies. She makes 12 look good. Is Tag the apple eater?
  11. Ok, Week one is Rosie, here she is laying across my mat just inside the front door. This is the looks she gives me as Im putting on my shoes to go down the street. Breaks my ♥ every time.
  12. Day Five: Quiet day, spent mainly indoors...Sparky flies around looking for trinkets. Day Six: Went on a bug hunt and got obsessed by this fellow. Quick, rarely settles and has a glow in the dark bottom... I think it looks like an alien. Day Seven: Luci waits for me as I get back from my morning walk.
  13. Great shots. I think Kangaroos have enchanting eyes.
  14. Can someone explain to me about these sites in laymans terms. Can photos be copied from these sites for use by person unauthorised? Wanting to put pics that I consider highly that I can share with some similar interested friends.
  15. Sheridan, yes I see your point. But lets face it it is a person asking for a guess on a pedigree on a dog that obviously doesnt have one....to relate to someone else who has a similar interest in like breeds. One hopes the interest in a pedigee 'type' is because they are interested in perpetuating this 'type". Now that should be made illegal, to my knowledge it hasnt as yet...ask the shelters that overflow with 'type' dogs. Agreed though the dog looks very healthy and happy. No pedigree, no matter should the owner be responsible and desex. Edit add: If the dog is to be treated as a normal pet in the councils view think carefully about it parentage.
  16. I think you have made a very brave decision. You know your dog better than anyone else so it is made out of compassion and love. He is a very proud looking dog, and when his time is done here he will no doubt be collecting and owning all the unfaded tennis balls over rainbow bridge...but for now your decision will let him enjoy his time with you...I am touched you are going to share these photos with all of us.
  17. Great shot Evolving. Looks like Sids backyard from Toy Story.
  18. Loving the photos. Im still to crack a pic for week one but Im loving watching.
  19. Day Four pic Today I enjoyed a day due to my new work roster. To celebrate I decided to play domestic goddess and try to bake a cake. First cake Ive cooked for many years. If I was smart Id keep my success on a down low or the kids might want a repeat performance!
  20. Lovely tribute. Sometimes there are no words
  21. Day 2 : Why my 11yrold wont get the washing in this morning (and her sooky 16yr old brother) Day3: Still learning...
  22. Awwwwwww I just lurve frogs!!!!! (But still havent found my prince )
  23. As I have worked as a vet nurse, I have seen many anguish over the same decision. From my personal experience this decision is one of the last acts of kindness we do for our loved companions. We all would like to pass in our sleep, but sadly this doesn't happen very often. Dogs unlike humans have an option when it comes down to their last days. I think when your old dog has more bad days than good days, when the sparkle in the eye is gone, and simple pleasures are not enjoyed anymore, it is time to consider that option. For me when a dog cannot function with a degree of quality of life (this quality is depends on the individual dog I believe) and if it loses its "dignity" ie it is distressed with its condition emotionally or physically. As the owner we need to sometimes look beyond our heart wish for more time and look to granting eternal peace for our much loved companion. Never easy, it hurts like hell to say goodbye, but in time afetr your grief you realize it was a timely decision, and smile when you remember all the good times you had. Hugz to anyone having to face this over the holiday season.
