  1. They don't have the rights to it - They can only give you a Clear By Parent History. I did DNA testing with them and they told me this and is what my Certificate says from them. I had to go to GT Pets for CEA. ETA: For Parent History; I scanned through copies of the sire and dam's DNA profiles and their Eye Screening results.
  2. Breeder uses your dog at stud in exchange for you being allowed to use a particular one of her dogs at stud.. You change your mind and decide not to use that dog.. As far as I can tell; you ARE allowed to use that dog at stud, you've just chosen not to.
  3. Do you know the experience behind Rawlinson? Or can anyone compare the experience behind all afore mentioned testers? I have used AVA and was unimpressed with their testing method (random testers with random experiences) and have been recommended Rawlinson. It is good to hear people have had good results - this bitch is very important so money is not an issue (nor is turn around time so long as it is not unreasonable) I just want to know the expertise of who I use is of a high standard. (I will also follow up with PennHip eventually, however PennHip often needs explaining to those not in the know and is based on a comparative system. Hence why I would use standard hip type scoring initially/ as well) I used him and am happy with the results.
  4. A purebred is a dog that has a pedigree to back up it's unmixed heritage. No papers = no pedigree = not pure.
  5. Did you get the plate number? Are there any cameras anywhere near that area, from businesses or traffic lights.
  6. They'd be less then a year old. I'm thinking probably 8 months old.
  7. I have a friend locally with two Yorkies, both brothers and both have this same thing. It's so strange. I wish I could tell you that it's alright/not alright and give some information but I really have no idea. I think it's really very cute.
  8. We ended up caving in and buying a kingsize bed. We have two adult dogs and one five month old puppy. All three are bed ol' bed hoggers. Especially on my side with the electric blanket turned on.

  10. Vebopet sells double deckers.. Not sure on the size though. They advertise in the dol advertisements.
  11. Poor kid will be 10 or 12 when he looses his best friend. edited for rules. :/
  12. Yes; I knew the price was higher and it was a 900km round trip (13 hours of driving total) but I had heard good things from both the clinic and the scorer. I spoke with Rob over the phone and via email until I was totally confident, and was happy to travel such a length for a great service. Xrays were done on a bitch that had her 2nd birthday earlier in the year, so I didn't expect them to be as great as if I had had her done on her 1st birthday. Silly me also did them exactly eight weeks after the last day of her season. Results were still great! not perfect zeros, but close, and I'm very happy.
  13. Update: I took one of my dogs to be xrayed today. I arrived at 1.30pm with the dog, she was xrayed and collected at 3.30pm. I had the scores emailed to me at 6pm. Every single person I met was lovely and polite. They were very good with the dog and had everything done in amazing time! For those interested; Xrays were performed at Mount Barker Veterinary Clinic by Sarah L Van Breda, and were handed to Rob Rawlinson to be read and scored at that time. The breakdown in price is as follows: Consultation: 42.00 Anesthesia: 155.00 Radiology - Hip Dysplasia Radiograph: 112.00 - Additional Radiograph Views: 93.40 Total: $402.40 Hip + Elbow reading: 100.00 Total: $100.00 TOTAL: $502.40 I will happily recommend both Mount Barker Veterinary Clinic and Dr Rob Rawlinson to anyone in SA or willing to travel.
  14. I think there's one in Sways signature or in her profile information. It's her page. ETA: Here's the thread for it. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...7&hl=Prefix Here's the actual link. http://www.prefixsearch.com.au/
  15. Is she actually jumping OVER the fence, or climbing the fence? If she's climbing the fence, setup new fencing without the horizontal posts, or pool fencing etc. If you are renting; you could invest in a Petsafe Pet Containment System. I can highly recommend them IF you apply yourself to the directions correctly and do the work.
  16. Can anyone please let me know the phone number for Dr R J Rawlinson BVSc DVR(Lond.) MACVSc FACVSC? My phone is missing and will need to call him from my spare. Thanks in advance. ETA: Sorted.
  17. Message Troy and he will see to it that the OffTopic is removed from your access.
  18. I have PMd steve about taking on one or two adult bitches, or the pups.
  19. If you were able to give them both a good walk in the mornings before going in there to tire them out, then I think that they would probably just sleep all day.
  20. In our council i think they say you should have a warning on your fence if you have a dog with any breed? that way if a person comes in its there own fault because they ignored the sign? Im pretty sure that wouldn't be the case. Police etc must be able to access you in your property..
  21. In many councils; if you have a warning sign on your fence, and your dog bites someone; you have basically broad casted you are aware of your viscous dog and will not have any leg to stand on if you are taken to court for damages or to have your dog destroyed... BT is perfectly reasonable in her post and shouldn't be mocked for it.
  22. Petsafe have medium and large runs that can be made pretty quickly and can be taken down again when not needed. You can also buy lids for them. I saw on ebay the larger one was on auction and was only $180 with a day to go. Hopefully you could pick one up pretty cheap too!
