  1. what do you mean by use of the car? and also any idea on what dogs and how many hours each dog is walked per day?
  2. everyone's dogs are different, ive never used it but it wouldn't hurt to try it, only way your ever going to know.
  3. Real dogmen never used "bait" dogs, its all rubbish, These wanna be gangsters started that crap most like becasue there dogs were crap.
  4. good luck - let me know how you get on and what the quote is Just got back now, vet sed $600 for the operation. seems to be a good price. That sounds good - are you in Sydney? yes sydney, and the $600 includes everything, the vet even wants to keep her there for about 2 extra nights after the surgery day just to keep her real quite, and keep an eye on things

  6. looks like im off to the vet in the morning.
  7. Anyone had this operation done to their dogs before? whats the standard price for this type of surgery and what does it involve after? cast ect
  8. not sure what anti inflams they were but the vet sed to only use them for about 4 days, with or without them she dosent show the pain so it makes it harder to tell, but i know she is still favoring her bad leg. im blocking of the stairs today and going to restrict her to one room of the house and a short half an hour walk once a day and see how i go in a week or so, if nothing then its back to the vet.
  9. should i be leash walking her still??
  10. My Girl had the problem with her Ligament damage to her knee cap a while back now, doctor didn't say surgery and just anti inflams and rest for a few weeks, Just wondering its been a while now at least 3 months and the leg is still dodgy, shes always sprinting up and down the back stairs which is about 15 steps and cant really help her running around the yard when im not home, i haven't been hand walking much at all lately but have started the last 2 days and just wondering would it help the knee to strengthen, and maybe tire her out.
  11. Apart from a small number of dogs APBTs have never been bred for gameness. Since they are the same breed as the SBT and AST (dual registered as well) they will never disappear as long as those breeds don't. Eventually all dogs breeds will suffer because of the endless infighting and navel gazing that dog owners indulge in rather than uniting to fight BSL and it's proponents. Even worse the victims of dog attacks will continue to grow as they do everywhere bsl is introduced further placing all dog ownership at risk. APBT have never been bred for gameness? i dont know if your being serious or not. All APBT have been game tested somewere along there lines, i have no doubt that my dogs ancestors were fought
  12. no, no supplements will do anything for the ears, if his teething atm then the ears will be doing all sorts of weird things, if you really wanted to you could tape/glue them, but really its no big deal.
  13. Then what will stop people from getting there ANKC staffords or amstaffs and breading them for gameness/fighting again, It will just start the cycle again.
  14. Bans or No bans, the APBT will always be around and those who love them will always own them. That sort of comment does your cause no favours either. Those with influence and those who make the decisions care very little for talk like that. Once again i here what your saying, But its just reality, do you really think the APBT will become extinct because there is a ban on them?
  15. And whilst people talk about "working" which equates to "fighting", there's no hope either. i here were your coming from but you cant deny or run from the history of the breed, i dont agree with matching or fighting dogs, but i do have the upmost respect all the dogemen of the past who put there lives into these dogs making them what they are today.

  17. Heres a bit of history to read, some very good info here http://www.northernstafford.co.nz/staffordhistory.htm
  18. The AST, SBT and APBT are not the same dog, please dont post that kind of information on a public forum for uneducated people to believe it. They aren't the same, similiar, but not the same. They are not even the same by apearence. Working staffords could pass as an APBT by appearence, but not all working APBT could pass as a staff by apearence. This by its self shows the difference in the 2 breeds and the different direction some of the breeding programs have went over the last 100 years. I would say they were the same if they were continually crossed into one another or even every couple generations but it has been a long seperation and breeding goals have probably been slightly different even though they are both working dogs. Anyone who studies the history of the breed/s knows that they are the same. Yes they do differ in appearance as the standards for judging differ but they are still the same dog. Dogfighters don't make the distinction you are making, neither do legislators throughout the world. The UK sees ASTs and APBTs as the same, only Aust & NZ differentiate the two. I'm not saying its good or bad or right or wrong, just fact. By working Staffs I presume you mean Irish Staffies, KC registered longer legged staffs. Yes they too are the same. Trying to distance the breeds hasn't worked anywhere else and there is a move to classify them all as dangerous. Even the Am Bulldog. Rather than arguing amongst ourselves and navel gazing we should be fighting BSL no matter which "breed" is affected as in the end it affects us all as it's not about the dogs, it's about us, the owners. they were once the same dog but the amstaff went the way of show dog and the pit bull stayed in the pit. basically 40 years of breeding created the two diffrent dogs that you see today. the am staffs were bred for the show ring, while the pit bull was bred for gameness.
  19. Staffys from working lines, just like you have you working collies ect, the Working SBT's could pass as an APBT. That working SBT looks very similar to this chinamane APBT.

What is a "working Stafford" ?

  22. get some natural yogurt, the one with natural acidophilus GOOD bacteria will help with the upset tummy, just a tablespoon or two and see how he goes.
  23. The chicken necks should firm up his stools due to the bone content in them, also things like puppy mice and the pet rolls are crap, if u want to feed good fresh meat keep on the chicken necks and then add some carcasses then start to mix it up with different animal meats and bones later on. Just seen your last post on the sensitive stomach, ive never had that problem with a dog so im not much help, just dont get too fussy with his food and he will get used to it,
  24. Thats all you do. Joke. Pretend to care about BSL but really don't.
