  2. hand held by the dog for over 20 mins. Wouldn't let go until euth all they needed was a break stick.
  3. Instructions History Step 1: Pumpkins and their seeds have been used to treat a variety of parasitic and other ailments since the colonists first came to the New World and discovered the benefits of this Native American crop. The flesh and seeds of the pumpkin were used by the Native American tribes to heal wounds, cure kidney ailments and urinary problems and were used as a parasitic treatment on humans. In recent times, herbalists have discovered that the seeds of the pumpkin also work as an effective de-worming agent against tapeworms and other intestinal parasites in dogs and humans. Effects Step 1: Pumpkins contain an amino acid known as cucurbitin, the chemical agent is effective in eliminating worms. The de-worming agents in pumpkin seeds paralyze and eliminate worms from the digestive system in pets and humans. How to Use Step 1: The most effective parasitic removal from pumpkin seeds occurs when fresh seeds are ground into a powder and sprinkled on top of your dog's food or made into a paste and mixed with wet food or given orally to your dog. Doses can range from 60 grams, to up to 500 grams of seeds per dose, depending on the size of the dog, and are usually administered three times a day until the pet is rid of its parasites. Considerations Step 1: There are no known side-effects or drug interactions associated with eating ground pumpkin seeds. However, tapeworms and roundworms can create serious health problems if left untreated. Follow up with your veterinarian to be sure you have eliminated the problem of worms in your dog. Only fresh or properly preserved seeds should be used to treat your dog's parasites. Other Health Benefits Step 1: Feeding your dog freshly ground pumpkin seeds does not only help to eliminate intestinal parasites, including tapeworms and roundworms, it can also provide your pet with a host of other health benefits, including improved urine flow, urinary tract health, a decrease in hormonal deficiencies and a boost in nutrients like protein, amino acids, fiber, iron, copper, phosphorus and magnesium. The seeds are also high in calcium, zinc, potassium, folic acid and niacin--all important nutrients to your dog's overall good health. 4. A good article, not just bashing the breed.
  5. ignore him, he will stop in his own time, food before bed might help as they like to sleep on a full tummy, and make sure to take him to the toilet every 3 hours aprox. is the laundry going to be his permanent sleeping room?
  6. looks to be an amstaff, how can they declare it dangerous at such a young age.
  7. my dog love to sleep and lay in the sun, how much is to much sun?? i try to limit her but its only a few hours a day but i dont want her getting cancer
  8. Just because its a bully breed it dose not mean his going to be automatically dog aggressive. socialise him and train asap and you should have no worries.
  9. i wouldn't be feeding much of that kebab meat at all, its usually all offcuts and has lots of spices and other things added to it, That's why your dog loves it so much, stick to just fresh meaty bones from the butcher. And you cant feed just meat, add a few other things in as well, variety is the key to a balanced diet.
  10. Your going to have a very hard time getting him out of TAS, But if you could i would consider taking him in,
  11. i feed a bit of garlic every now and then.
  12. the prong collar dose not need to be used, stop being so ignorant and think for yourself.
  13. haha yer her ears only go like that sometimes, usually there rose.
  14. where's the reward ? i only ever rewarded when she walked without pulling on about two walks, i not going to reward every time, no need Right so while your marching backwards and forwards doing about turns, are there any rewards during this time ? How does the dog know when it is in the "right" position and is pleasing you ? http://www.pitbullforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2340 read that for a better understanding

How does the dog know when it is in the "right" position and is pleasing you ? well the dog usually pulls becasue it want to go go go, so if i turn in the opposite direction every time she pulls she inset getting were she wants to go, the reward is she gets to walk, very simple. Google it

  17. "and from a reputable breeder" How can they say from a reputable breeder when they DON'T want them being bred? just stupid why not drop the ban and encourage American pitbulls to be bred by a standard and have registered breeders.
  18. the only thing i have done to stop pulling was every time she pulled i would quickly turn in the opposite direction, after a few time they get the idea, and when you turn direction use a command like " NO PULLING" but make sure you keep walking in the direction that you turned for about 20 meters, then repeat until he learns.
  19. now is the time were you have to decide were the dog will sleep, so if its outside keep him outside and dont let him in when he cries. If its in the laundry then do the same ignore the cries. others may think different but i feel that its not good to chop and change the sleeping areas. It will also be much easier to toilet train the pup if he is sleeping inside and close to you, so you can take him to the toilet every couple hours. Good Luck
  20. you had the right intentions. but i would never take an American pitbull to a pound or a vet i didn't trust, i dont care weather its illegal or not. R.I.P
  21. And the answer for my personal interest question, was that the dog's name was Tyson. Gee, what a surprise NOT. I certainly wasn't expecting a Cuddles or a Happy. so you think a dogs behavior is decided by its name...?
  22. Couldn't of sed it better my self, The media is a joke and lives of people who believe every word they say. these people are usually ignorant and don't have the ability to think for themselves.
  23. ozziesnakes, i don't believe a word you say. Your first post is on this forum happens to be in this thread, that you happened to know was on this particular forum. I can picture you in my head as someone who sits behind their computer scared to make a comment under your real user name, so you play these childish games. You obviously don't like American Pit bulls. but i can assure you something, THEY WILL BE HERE FOR EVER. LONG LIVE THE AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER.
  24. sounds good to me, variation is the key, and balance, tinned sardines a couple times a week, raw eggs aswell, shell is good for calcium
  25. if he wont sit at the door before you open it, then simply dont let him in. But have you trained him to sit yet? Also dont let him be fussy with his food, if he wont eat it then take it away and give it back next meal time. i wouldent waste my money on teh retractable lead, a long rope would work much better and much harder to break. I would never use a retractable lead on a bully breed.
