  2. Here is a Great vid shows how hard these dogs love to work
  3. my pup was never a real talker, but sounds like a normal puppy to me, i wouldn't be praising him for noises tho, probly best to train it out of him now then wait and let it become anoying.
  4. sorry for verrrry late reply, but for those interested, yes the dog did eventually pass the temp test (it was postponed for quite some time...) which was a huge relief for his owners..they were gutted to think he was possibly going to have to live out the rest of his life in a cage... Awsome news.
  5. not the eazy walker, thinking a proper padded nylon or leather harness with the big D ring at the back.
  6. want to start usign a harness for walking, weres good in sydney to have a look at a few at a reasonable price.
  7. could always try making your own dog meat roll, but ive never fed them before but with all the other food of the diffrent days is sounds like a balanced diet to me.
  8. Good post, ive had APBT's in and around my family for 30 odd years, never had a problem just the odd dog scrap here and there, From some of the comments i get from people it seems to me the american pit bull terrier is one of the most misunderstood breeds ever. i will always own and love this breed no matter what.
  9. And where would that be, exactly? Its not my place to expose certain vets that still use these practices, tho with some research and talking to the right people you will have no trouble finding out. Your boxers have tails?
  10. The fine is pretty big, tho 132 tail docks is also a large number, i agree also with if its done by a vet and properly i dont have a problem with it, many vets still dock and crop.
  11. frames, wings, legs and anything really is all fine, just not really the big heavy bones to much, the rest are more then fine tho
  12. more than likely coming up as unsafe due to your anti virus, usually mean nothing. i use the vet shed, products are a good price and at my door with in 48 hours of putting my order in.
  13. They are both different surgeries. One is to repair the cruciate ligament and the other to hold the patella (knee cap) in place. It will depend on what breed your dog is for cruciate repair. Luxating patellas will depend on which way its moving. There are 2 different surgeries to repair that also. From what the vet showed and explained to me her knee cap is comming down to the side of the thigh (hard to explain) and is common with more bow legged dogs. have you had any experience with the surgery ect danelady?
  14. yeh im trying to rest her as much as i can, also trying to stop her from jumping and stairs especially, well the stars are what caused it. If you dont mind me asking cowanbree was the surgery expensive? the vet told me they would grind down the socket the knee cap sits in so it hold in place better.
  15. Dog was running up the stairs about a week ago and it was wet and her back left leg slipped and she hurt it, kept her rested for about 5 days and still a limp so il got her to the vet today, Vet sed the tor her ligaments and when she walks/runs her knee cap pops out and the she starts to limp untill she pops it back in her self, got some anti inflammatorys and more rest for her and if it dosnet get better in a few weeks maybe surgery to help it, anyone had this problem before with there dogs?
  16. ive read many articles going on about the kill shelters in the US, but to pile up dead dogs like that is disgusting. Would of been some amazing dogs killed there.

  18. you going for rose ears?
  19. ive never had a problem walking my pit, different area different people i spose.
  20. a few people i know own 2 or more bully breeds at any one time, always a chance of a fight no matter what dog, tho each dog is different and will react different, so you will know if they will get along ok and watch for the warning signs. Prevention is the best option tho. not leaving toys and bones for them to fight over ect, feeding in separate rooms.
  21. Dont think many people would like rap/hip hop on this fourm but this song it great, If you can understand even some of the lyrics its good to hear coming from this type of genre. http://www.myspace.com/godscipher its on the song list on the right hand side.
  22. i was told by my vet that the offal throws out the calcium to phosphate ratio so its not good mainly in young pups, tho people have done it for years with no problems.
  23. i take her between 7 and 8 so its not bad at that time and i also like to let the dog settle down before having water aswell.
  24. They had proheart12 last December so in theory should not have heartworm. Would you still get them tested prior to switching? We've had a dog here for the past 7 months who is usually treated with a monthly ivermectin dose - yes they do use cattle pour on. I asked his owner if she wanted to test him prior to me starting him on dimitrol and she said no, and he had no problems (she distinctly understood the implications of the question I was asking). for around $35 and its take about 90 sec its worth it.
