  1. ive always just opened the mouth, dropped it down and give the throat a bit of a rub. easiest way.
  2. I come across this on another site, would be handy for everyone. http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp
  3. so now that they are the same breed ( in the GCC eyes) does that mean the same rules apply to owning and Amstaff, ie desexing, cage, dangerous dog collars??
  4. does it have to be an online store? i find that dog toys from shops ect are over priced and usually pretty crappy. head down to your local op shop and get some cheap as stuffed toys, take all the plastic eyes off tho, even if they last 3 days it would of only costed about 50c. get some cheap rope and makes knots in it, old balls are excellent as well, Last time i checked it was nearly $60 for the large black kong.
  5. my aunts cattle dog lives of mice and veg she cooks up for him and cooked bone scraps, never health problem and his about 12 now i think, also has been run over 4 times in his younger days with no issues.
  6. once a week is to much, mabey once a month or every 3 weeks if you have to. check what type of shampoo she is using aswell.
  7. i disagree, They may of ONCE been the same breed, but hundreds of years or breeding tells me they are two different breeds in my book.
  8. Well you see she is my parents dog and has always been feed on the tinned foods from the supermarket. She gobbles them down but I have been trying to improve her diet with better dry food and chicken necks. She will eat the chicken necks but only a little bit of the dry food. I will try the gravy or vegemite! forget the gravy and Vegemite and mix in some sardines or tuna, a little yogurt aswell maybe,
  9. so frustrating the dog just cant resist licking the cream of her nose, dosent surprise me though, Do these creams still take effect even when they get licked off, i rub it into the area for a while so it gets right in there.
  10. there was a small hot spot on her head aswell, seems to have gotten worse aswell, the cream and antibotics will keep it down tho. not growing anywhere as fast as the other. nose isent looking much better yet tho, he sed about 10 days or so
  11. usally once a day after 7 months round about, always random times aswell, lately tho its been morning at night also at random times.
  12. he sed it was a ringworm type fungus, most likely got it from digging her snout around the dirt, cream and 10 days worth of antibiotics. cheers for your input everyone
  13. vet opens back up at 4pm so il head in then.
  14. i only use metal bowls aswell, got up this morning and its looking worse, pussy and weaping.
  15. looks very similar to what my she has, probly is the saem thing, would i be able to purchase the cream ect over the counter at the vet?
  16. nah not from another dog, i think a bite maybe, if its worse tomorrow then il take her to the vet. i noticed a little bald spot there a few days ago aswell, but only growen big in the last day.
  17. noticed it about 2 days ago, but it wasn't risen like it is now, getting bigger.
  18. But where do you get them from? I've found Rabbit reallu hard to get. Rabbit you can only really get from what ive seen it at some butchers, very expensive tho and not worth it. Not to sure about the laws on breeding your own Rabbits for food, but i dont see it being illegal.
  19. I did see it, although it was not a pitbull.
  20. another idea is to breed your own feeding rabbits, Californian whites or new zealand rabbits are meant to be really good. Rabbit meat is also very very lean so some sort of fat will need to be added in. also almost free apart from grain for the rabbits.
  21. You should go have a chat with the local butchers and you will find they cant get some good off cuts and unwanted meat for good prices, for a while i was getting fresh suckling pig heads for about $2 each, there's some good butchers in the leichardt shopping mall aswell.
  22. dident think you could ever get rid of a callus, unless you stop overusing that area so to speak, does he lay down on concreat ect?
  23. you should feed the raw separate from the dry meal, they both digest at different rates so give her kibble and sardines ect in the morning and 5 or so chicken necks at night, you should also try chicken carcass as well.
  24. ive only seen dogs foam at the mouth when there rally excited and ripping a ball apart ect. was he paying with anything??
