  1. i dont hold off till the very end but i also know how bad it feels to train on a stomach with a bit to much water, i know that dogs shouldn't be exercised a few hours after food aswell, different for water? cheers
  2. Have been taking the dog down the the local dog park for a run around for the last 3 weeks or so and since there is no water there at all for the dogs so i bring my own with a container for after exercise as its usually pretty intense, when were done il usually let her drink as much water as she wants which is usually about 1L, only thing tonight she threw most of it back up a hour or so later, first time this has happened. should i have her drink throughout or just at the end?
  3. i use the dimitrol daily tablets, havent had a problem with them but just need to test for heart worm before you start them, i sometimes forget days here and there but no problems.
  4. yah i posted this up a while ago, but its worth another, love it
  5. i find my dog gets bad breath when i dont feed raw chicken frames ect for a week or so, once i start up again doesn't smell like anything.

  9. ive been using fidos everyday shampoo but i want to get an oatmeal shampoo but there's a few to choose from. i think its called aloveen? anyone know were to purchase it in sydney? or maybe theirs something better? just seen a brand Ruducks oatmeal and aloe, my dog dose not have dry or itchy skin but would still like a good shampoo
  10. ive heard of people using zinc and others say its made there dog sick, whats provides good sun protection for dogs?
  11. Are you suggesting that ANKC recognised breeders simply slot the unpapered Pits into their breeding program ? or even worse falsify breeding records to produce papers for Pits ? Harldy a good idea to undermine the integrity of the ANKC register. I wondered if there are any APBT's with Amstaff papers??? dual registered i think, but i wont be surprised at all. Papers are still available for apbt's.
  12. ive asked probly over 15 times of his/her relationship to the breed and am still to get an asswer. shows just how full of it he/she is
  13. Pit Bulls, AmStaffs and Staffies have been fulfilling the role of "family dog" for as long as there have been Pit Bulls and Staffies and are well suited. american pitbulls have been my family's choice of dog since my grand father was a teen. And alot of family friends have them as well with no problems what so ever.
  14. Thats great if your dog doesnt react to other dogs. Must of be the hienz variety. geez, i haven't been on in a while and your still here dribbling rubbish,
  15. in all honestly, your dog will be ok to touch the ground, its still a dog remember, they need to be exposed to things to become immune to them, cant keep him in a bubble forever.
  16. yah the APBT is still getting imported, weather its the pups or the frozen seamen there still getting here. Papers and all.
  17. So technically, there wouldn't be too many real ones left anyway? not at all, still plenty of good breeders with great bloodines.
  18. the raw diet is fine, i fed my pup kibble at the start but went off it very quick, chicken necks are great but dont feed hard beef bones at this young age as it will do damage to there teeth, With the raw diet especially in pups you need to have the correct calcium to phosphate ration to help the pups fast growing bones, look around on the net as there's plenty of info, and good if done right. With the kibble just ask your breeder, or if not go of the back of the kibble bag, i usually find they suggest to much but just feed what is says and then start feeding by eye, to skinny or to fat and go off that. Also there are a lot of kibbles out there, look around some more and pick a good one for your dog, but remember all dogs do different on different kibbles, there's is no one size fits all. she is eating sometimes more and sometimes less because you are free feeding are you not? if you feed three times a day put the food down for each meal for around 15 min if its not eaten take it up till next meal time.
  19. i found one a month or two ago, and put medical powder on it, it was behind her neck so she could not lick it off, healed in about 3 days.
  20. i usually get about 2 kilos of chicken liver and just put them on the dryer trays the size they are, takes about 35 hours and when there done i freeze then in a container and take out what i need when i need it, works out to cost $1.90. much cheaper then store bought liver and much fresher.
  21. Dogs are allowed in the house. It's when in the yard they need to be enclosed in a run that meets specs. Of course if you don't want to force your dog into this kind of life, DON'T BUY A DOG THAT CAN BE CLASSIFIED AS RESTRICTED. The law isn't new. People need to either abide by the law or suffer the consequences (or more precisely have their dogs suffer them) Just curios and this is hypothetical, If poodles became restricted and you were made to comply with the rules that are in place now for restricted breed would you?
  22. Yes, silly people, why didn't they reach into the ambulance and just grab it. why would you reach into the ambulance to get one? now that's a silly statement. Sorry, should have said or police car. Or should of reached for their copy of 'Dog fighting 101'. And what involvement do you have in the breed?
