  1. I feed Shyla Eagle Pack kibble and follow the growth/amount chart on the side of the bag
  2. If the OP works fulltime or is gone for extended hours that wouldn't work
  3. Shyla ate a jam donut cos my mum forgot to take it (in it's bag) from the back seat of our van last night I heard rustling and turned around a bit after and saw the bag, and yep donut gone + dog with tasty donut breath = gone hehehe No ill effects tho not even softer poops her tummy must be getting more adulty
  4. Are your breeders going to give you a refund of some sort? If it sourced from their property and you purchased a 'sick puppy' I'd imagine they would have to do so legally? (not entirely sure but that would make sense)
  5. My 6.5month old shepherd was humping objects since she was 12 weeks old! She has a particular duck toy she loves to hump, then in last month or so she has started to hump other dogs, but she got spayed last week so I wonder if that will stop it
  6. Just wanted to say Shyla has the same pink heart name tag! Hehe :D
  7. I think the OP said the LLW is perfect in the backyard and home?
  8. I just ordered a Mary Ray book off Ebay, can't wait to get it :D
  9. Hell yeah I would kick it in a second if it was aggressive and attacking Shyla, instinct would "kick" in so to speak, and I would do anything to get it away from her. I don't think I would care where I was kicking either TBO, kicking in the head might knock it out which = saving Shylas life potentially
  10. Maybe she's just extra clingy since you've been gone and just wants to be where you are? What if you leave her inside, and you go potter outside? Does she get worked up wanting to come out too?
  11. I second the fake grass too, pee pads I personally don't like as they can be like other household items to a dog (like Fiona said), whereas if you want them used to going outside on grass, you can't go past using the fake grass indoors! My mums min pin was trained on pee pads and still misses them most of the time "thinking" shes on them cos the pad isn't much different feeling to the floor. Whereas with the fake grass they will have that course tickly 'grass' feel and know they are on it mostly
  12. Thanks for the info, I'm sure it will come in handy for some people in the same situation!!
  13. After seeing a segment on Bondi Vet where a dog had a whole chicken neck stuck in it's esophagus and it was in pain and could hardly breathe and was depressed, I'll never feed them to my dog. When they pulled it out it STANK to the high heavens and was a grey color but still intact
  14. GREAT thanks guys!!! She does it one way but not the other, so I might get her to target either side like that lady did to perfect her turning the other way too. It's so cute how they look away and turn their head... haha!
  15. I have spent a few days trying to teach Shyla to shake her head like she's saying no, except she only moves her head one way, and won't go the other way without hand guidance! I guess I just keep guiding her til she does both then "YES!!!" incredibly loud and treat?
  16. What a GREAT ending!!!! It didn't sound good originally either, I bet you were preparing yourselves to loose him. oh YAY!
  17. A friend of mines GSD is more hostile and likely to snap when he is on leash meeting other dogs - whether it be the tension of the leash creating negative feelings or what I'm not sure. But offleash with other dogs he is happy and a lot better!
  18. I started taking my girl for walks as soon as she was fully vaccinated, but we started with 5 minute walks up the street and back, then progressed to 10-15 minutes and so on. So originally our walks were down the street a bit, cross the road, and back. Alternating different directions each day. Then it got to further and further, now we go around the block as it's a 25 minute walk and she's nearly 7 months old. I pretty much followed milzis schedule!! My girl loooove her walks, so much to smell and do, and I can practice heel and sit and drop at the same time.
  19. Wow that's certainly great value, I get 15kg of Eagle Pack for $115 as it's one of the super premium bags. The price of GB really makes me want to change over, but the fact that my girl does so well on Eagle Pack would stop me from changing over until her condition drops or something. I love the Hollistic food having no grains etc, she has no allergies, super shiny coat, great condition, great poos and hardly ever farts. GB sounds good for a budget food, though
  20. YAY!! Soo glad the tick was found! What a relief, now he can rest and recover
