  1. My cat has a heart murmer, it was detected when he was that young too. It gets checked at his yearly checkup every year, and so far its graded on the low scale, which is fine. The vet said as he gets older it may go up on the scale, which we would then need to consider meds etc, but he is 4yrs old and so far so good. We try to keep his weight down for a start, and we hope he doesn't get too affected by it in his senior years
  2. She's on Eagle Pack Hollistic Large Breed Puppy well, putting a bit of water in the crate at night was the go! We haven't had to get up at all now! I only put in a little bit, and its enough to tide her through til the morning
  3. Nope, not the sleepy mouthy noises, not suckling, definately her being thirsty! (I can read her like a book). If I ignore it, she keeps shifting position and won't fall back asleep properly, and the minute I put the light on, shes UP in sit position asking to come out, and runs to the water bowl. Last night I put a small amount of water in her crate, I heard her drink at 2am, and we didn't have to get up, no thirsty noises! Yay
  4. Oh oh oh I want a canine tooth! No fair lol
  5. Interesting! *buys you some ear muffs* hehe
  6. My GSD is OVERLY food oriented, lol. Oh my, what she'd do for a piece of her kibble
  7. Shyla sleeps in her crate next to my bed, and more often than not she starts to stir around 3/4am making a mouthing noise which I know means shes thirsty. She doesn't whine to come out of her crate, but I feel mean and so let her out to have a drink, which also means taking her to the toilet. Does anyone leave water in their crate?
  8. I hate the idea of vaccinations, Shyla got c3 in 2 doses, and I'm going to look into titre testing for the next coming years, I don't want to have to put that powerful stuff into her body if I don't have to. She got weepy runny eyes and was not herself after the 2nd vaccination too, who knows what cocktail is in that stuff! I hope your boy feels better soon!
  9. My girl did this when she got Kennel Cough.. first sign was congested watery sounds during the night
  10. I found a tooth yippee!! Found a lil front tooth on the carpet, yay. I dont know where to keep it, but I want to keep it LOL
  11. Oh how weird, Shylas just lost some teeth in the past few days!! Her tiny front upper baby teeth, theres like 3 or 4 missing, and a lower one is crooked and on the way out. My girl is growing up! She hit the 4 month old mark this week. Weird that her ears went up and down during her 3 month age mark, with LOTS of mouthing and chewing, and now a month later she chews and mouths WAY less, ears have been perfectly straight up for weeks now, and NOW she loses teeth?! lol
  12. Im fearing this in 2 months when I have to desex my girl
  13. Sorry to hijack your thread Pandii! Just wondering if kangaroo tails can be left with the dog with no superivision?
  14. It happens to most pups! Nothing to worry about at all, some have more crazy ears than others. My German Shepherd had up/down ears in the first month I had her, but now shes 4 months old and they have been super straight and perfect for over a month.. not sure if it will stay that way but i hope so! lol
  15. I think I heard it has to do with calcium.. the cartilage in the ears need calcium to stand, but during the teething stage the calcium is involved with that process, and so isn't readily available for the ears... and so they go up down up down.. something like that anyway :p
  16. For a growing Dane that is normal. Wow! Incredible hey They are massive though! (and beautiful)
  17. Oh that sucks its gone all through your dogs!! What a pain in the butt. My puppy had a bout of explosive diarrhea too, I think it was a stomach bug also, it was annoying and I got sick of cooking chicken and rice ;)
  18. 9 cups sounds like heaps to me too, but it depends what the guide on the bag says in terms of what she should be getting. Have u recently increased the amount of food she gets? Sudden increases in the amount of food being given or being given too much can cause runny poos easily
  19. What an amazing tribute to an amazing dog. I am so sorry for your loss, and so sorry that fateful day happened, but I am sure he came into your life for a reason and I hope you stay strong and cherish the memories
  20. Oh that seriously sucks!!!! How frustrating!! Shyla has a tendency to have a bit of a scratch and chew/lick in the mornings, not sure if shes just 'grooming' but that bothers me enough. But to see them attacking themselves from itchyness? I hope it abates soon, Poor Diesel
