It's been too long since I bought a new lens, so now that I have some Christmas money to burn I think it's about time! I'm just looking for a general walk-around type lens with a decent zoom range, I don't really want to spend anymore than $800. So I was thinking the Canon 24-105mm f/4. Anybody care to share opinions on it or make some other suggestions? :)

From what I've heard it's a great camera :) I was recently talking about the 600D to a friend who has it, her photos are gorgeous if you want to check them out, ClickIt Photography on Facebook. I think it would make an awesome first DSLR. I was actually considering buying it as an upgrade from my 1000D. Still deciding whether to go the extra mile and get the 60D, though. I'm open to and encourgae opinions :laugh: I'm hopeless at making decisions.
