  1. Lovely! Looks like a gorgeous location.
  2. Prim is on my shortlist for female puppy names. Such a pretty name :)
  3. Oh how exciting! Thinking about getting the 70D for myself for my birthday next month
  4. I feed them and have had no issues with both my Golden Retriever (who hoovers his food) or my Border Collie (who has better table manners).
  5. This is good to hear. Border Collies need a lot of mental stimulation - they like having a job to do. Even though you aren't interested in competitive dog sports, I'd definitely recommend attending a training/obedience club, not only for the training of the dog but for socialization too.
  6. This has only tempted me further to get a 3rd
  7. I have a bad case of puppy fever right now... Cannot wait to join this thread with actual puppy news!
  8. For a Golden Retriever, an obedience club would definitely be much more suitable than sending him away to a trainer. To be honest, Goldens are not huge or overly strong compared to other breeds. They are intelligent and usually very food driven - they like to please and are very trainable. Obedience/training clubs are also a great way to socialize your dog with lots of different dogs and people. Training your own dog will also strengthen your relationship and will be enjoyable for both of you. (And will also be cheaper than sending him away to a training centre. Good luck!
  9. Stayed at Kingston on Murray Caravan Park in the Riverland (SA) this past weekend. Would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for pet friendly accommodation out that way. Nice grounds, dogs were allowed in the cabins, lovely owners/staff.
  10. Holdfast Dog Centre has recently built a new 'playground' for the dogs - plenty of videos can be seen here. Apparently it's made of recycled plastic boards. :) Photo :)
  11. You forgot to mention that we all went swimming on the saturday though lol Yep don't think the weather could have been much worse
  12. Lots of awesome recent brags! Jess gained two more masters agility passes this past weekend as well as an open jumping pass with 1st place!
  13. Bit late to the party but since I'm finally trialling again, thought I'd add my goals :) ~Jess ADM title JDO title ADO passes Re-train start line stay Less than half the year to complete them.. Let's see how that works out
  14. After a 1.5 year agility hiatus, we were finally out at a trial yesterday and Jess got a masters agility pass with 3rd place! Many other 'so close' runs, but very pleased with her :) Glad to be back!
  15. Thought I recognized this boy on the AWL Facebook page :p
  16. Aw, great news! Congratulations on finding his breeder!
  17. Saw this on TV last night :) Thought I recognized Flynn Cute commercial!
  18. Ooooh I want one! Does Costco have a decent range of pet products? I think there's one opening in Adelaide soon!
  19. Thanks guys! Will have a look over on that thread :)
  20. My dogs (Golden Retriever 7 y.o, Border Collie 6 y.o) have been fed on a kibble/pet meat diet all their lives and I'd really like the switch them to raw. I've researched a bit online but there seems to be so many bits of info from so many different sources, I don't really know where to start. Can any one link me to some useful websites or better yet share their knowledge and what they feed? I'm not quite sure how much to feed, what exactly to feed and how often (once or twice daily)? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated :)
  21. I have friends overseas who compete in high levels of agility with pugs and bostons. It can be done! :)
