  1. Totally OT, but the leather(?) collar on the black dog is gorgeous!
  2. This is amrandom thought from someone who knows nothing about BCC, but has been following Kenz's story. You have probably already thought about this or tried it, but would a cool coat help on walks?
  3. Trust me, they have tried in food, yes, ymmiest food and dog finds it every time. Dog really isn't a foodie dog.
  4. tandoori is apparently season with cumin, chilli and coriander. however, they also do a natural version http://www.moiramacs.com.au/products/products-low-salt-preservative-free.html
  5. I have a friend who has trouble giving their small dog worming tablets, even the palatable ones. I was wondering if they do a worming paste or syrup for adult dogs. Dog is probably between 5-8kgs.
  6. If you are in NSW, either Velma"s Pet as Therapy or Delta Society.
  7. Left of field suggestion since you mentioned cold... is it possible for the handler to bring a towel or mat and use it for the drop. I know it would only be a short term solution, but might help and stop the handler from stressing.
  8. one of our dogs vomits clear/bile if I am late with their breakfast, as for some reason for him an empty tum causes it. can you feed smaller more frequent meals so his tum isn't empty?
  9. I would really like to see a list of the harnesses that they tested, and if they testes these that I have previously considered buying, since our dogs find the roof of the cargo area too low and their crates are too large to fit in the car. http://www.k9pro.com.au/products/Ruff-Rider-Roadie-SM2.html http://waggle.com.au/petbuckle-b18/travel-harness-p266
  10. First dog, release is free. SEcond dog, release is "party"... and yes, I get some odd looks from instructors during class, when everyine else is usinf free and okay, and I use party, hehe. I did consider using play for the second dog, but I use that way to much when I talk to them.
  11. I hope you find an answer. I just didn't want to seem presumptious or a know it all, since I am not a breeder, just a dog owner who is intereseted in health stuff.
  12. I am definitely no expert (far, far, far from it), but I think that thyroid problems can cause behaviour changes, including aggression, so may be worth getting it checked??? ETA... just googled, and apparently dobes are one of the breeds who can be susceptible to tyroid problems... but you probably already knew that.
  13. Closest that I know is K9 Pro, but you are looking at a 40 min drive (minimum!) from the lower mountains.
  14. Me being the cynic checked out Barclaycard's FB page... and scrolled back to 1 April. Yep, posted as an April Fools day joke/prank.
  15. no idea if this is a good price, but thought i would post in case anyone was interested. seems to be one size and one colour only http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/weatherbeeta-kennel-50cm-purple-dog-jacket/
  16. Don't underestimate a determined greyhound and a baby gate. Years ago we fostered a greyhound and the theory was that while she was settling in, while we were out, she would be in the bathroom with a baby gate across the doorway.... just in case she had any accidents. Well, after ciming home fir the third time and finding her in the lounge room, we gave up on that idea. Never once had an accident in the house either. I swear she never moved from her bed while se were out. I think she jumped fhe baby gate each time, with zero run up.
  17. Is it possible that she is lacking gut enzymes, and cannot digest food properly? I have no idea how they test for this, but thought it worth throwing out their so you can ask your vet.
  18. I thought Glen was with Pet Resorts, or has he changed location?
  19. I don't know if there is anywhere in that facility that would be suited to riding a bike with a dog? I've been using Rouse Hill Regional Park as well as the bike path along Wndsor Road (although the dog must be used to a lot of traffic for this). I don't know either, as I haven't been there, but thought it might be worth the OP asking. They have a lure coursing track, so thought something similar might be available.
  20. It would probably cost money for use of their facilities, but perhaps contact Farmer Dave and his Australian Canine Sports Centre. http://www.lovesdogs.com.au/
  21. Perhaps consider trying to board her at Animal Referral Hospital, Sydney. I know Homebush do boarding.
  22. Okay. Phone call made and mystery solved. Spoke to the lovely vet receptionist who was able to tell me that these are in fact a smaller size. Learnt something new today... didn't know they came in different sizes! And, I frequently think vet receptionists are under-rated for the variety of questions they field.
  23. Thank you. Off to make that phone call. I know that I shouldn't, but I just feel like an idiot questioning them. Can anyone say low self confidence???
  24. Okay, before I cal the vet and embarrass myself, can anyone tell me the dosage for a 33kg dog? Vet has given 1 tablet morning and night. Only question it as I have vague memories of breaking tablets in half last time. Dog was also on antibiotics last time, so I could well be confusing the rablets or antibiotics perhaps made a difference to the dosage. Google is not being my friend atm.
