I have no idea. I think the boyfriend will drain it out and give it a good scrub frequently. He likes doing stuff like that. He loves doing chores. He relaxes him.
-
Yep, it will be put in a section of the yard where it's already fenced and we are looking into covers for it.
-
Yes. We need a cover! I'll get the boyfriend to look into that. Thanks.

Thinking that Emmy might have a pool party for her 1st bday!
-
they are selling spas on deals direct now too :p
-
They have life vest already ... :p We were worried that Charlie can't swim, but he may be slow on land but he is very fast in the water!!

From what I've been told.. NSW doesn't have a water restriction anymore, and if we do, it's not as strict as it use to be. NSW is no longer in a drought Plus my 2 are little, we don't have to fill it up... just enough for them to swim around in.

It's part of Emmy's and Charlie's rehab to strengthen their knees, legs and back...

have a look! :dancingelephant:

Yes, I forgot to add this part If you feel uncomfortable doing it... ask the vet to clean it out for you.
-
You have to clean her ears out, even if she yelps. You can use warm salty water to clean it out, if you don't want to use the paw ear cleaner thingy. That brown gunk can build up and destroy the inside of the dogs ear and ear drums. You have to give her the meds and drop too, not whenever she lets you. Especially the drops and cleaning the ears out. Very important. Ignore the yelps. Don't let her be boss of you. My boy has this issue too. I clean out his ears once a fortnight either with dog ear cleaning solution or warm salty water. I found that also help is that we trim around his ear too. We think that the the fur tickles his ear, so he scratches and makes things worst.

How Do You Get Past The Heartache Of Not Having A Dog?

Some dogs like to play and some won't. Not sure if this is the right way of doing it, but this is how I taught my old husky how to play fetch. I think to get started is to get the object and run with it and puppy chases up after you. Make it like it's the fastest thing ever. Show him the object while you're running and playing. When the dog is happy and playful, you roll the ball and you run after the ball.. make the puppy follow you. If he gets the ball first (even just touch the ball), get excited and praise him like he did the best thing ever. Eventually he will see the object/ball to be a real fun thing.

Charlie is a whinger and squeaker. Emmy is a growler. I don't think I've ever own a non vocal dog before
-
I just got off the phone with Emmy's breeder and she's agreed with doing the surgery. Surprised that we were waiting to do it on the 17 Dec and not sooner actually.
-
The reason why i ask is i am worried the "harmless" growl could turn into a aggressive one. After all, he is only a puppy. No, I doubt that it will turn into an aggressive one. It's just play... just like some kids likes to talk very loudly and some kids likes to talk softly... our pup likes to talk loudly when they play...
-
OMG... soooo cute!!! Love the 3rd pic
-
hahah So should i intervene when he growls or just let it be as its not a show teeth growl? I will just let it be... You will know the difference between an aggressive growl (that you should stop) and their usual growl... Emmy is currently growling right now trying to invite her brother to play
-
Yes I understand now I will talk to her first thing tomorrow morning to let her know the situation. It's too late to call her now.
-
Emmy's right hind kneecap is always out.. it won't go back to where it's suppose to be. In which case the op cannot be delayed. What a bummer Yeah
-
I didn't mean to upset anyone. I have all intention of talking to her and I'm not blaming her for anything. I'm sure she will be understanding about the situation. She knows I think she's a great breeder and a good person, but it is a sucky situation/bad luck for Emmy. As I said, we did everything right, there is nothing wrong with her dogs (I think her dogs are fantastic). I'm sure things will be fine... kinda not looking for the 6 - 8 weeks recovery period. Poodlefan Emmy's right hind kneecap is always out.. it won't go back to where it's suppose to be.
-
Emmy is 8 months.. a few days shy of 9 months. I haven't spoken to her yet. Going to give her a call tomorrow.
-
I had both parents viewed and everything and they are 100% healthy and fine. Emmy was only pup in litter too and now she got it... I feel bad for Emmy (but we don't show it to her though). It's just a sucky situation all around. Erny, thanks. We no longer look at vet bills anymore because we like to keep our sanity

Luckily Charlie is doing awesome.. Yes, Emmy is desexed Gretel. It's just sometimes patellas can get looser around season time. I did not know this... is there anything people do to help them with that?
