We bought really cheap cot mattresses from Ikea and then bought a double bed egg shell foam overlay from Spotlight. We trimmed the overlay into pieces big enough to sit on top of the cot mattress and then just put an existing cover over the top. If I can ever learn to sew properly I would like to make it covers My old girl had some major surgery the other week and Great Rugs were fantastic when I wanted new large beds. They made them up within 3 hours for me (amazing service!!!!) and the price was more than reasonable for an XL ($71) If you go to their site we got the Comfy Cushions Beds and they are lovely and thick and with a shake they get all thick again. Dogs love them (and so do the cats) www.greatrugs.com.au

I would rather Jack be a little distressed than be outside without anyone watching him after he had been attacked so severely the day before. Let alone the risk of infection to the wound site......
-
I have to admit this was the first thing I thought when I read the article WTF were you thinking putting a 14 year old dog outside, who had its throat slit the day before? I mean seriously? My reaction I suspect would have been to go into hyperdrive!

Makes you wonder doesn't it. Must have been the antiseptic in the spray that did it Or the alcohol used in the bitter taste It does!!! I actually still have the table because it was brand new when this happened (we'd just built this house and moved in). I should take a photo and post it I met this woman who used to take some of her horses feed and taste a tiny bit on the tip of her tongue - you can understand why. She did the same with shampoo and stuff

Slightly OT but When we got our first dog Charlie, we had him desexed and the vet gave us this bottle of bitterant to apply to the area to stop him licking his wounds. I put some on his belly and then popped the bottle on my bedside table overnight. When I woke in the morning there was a ring of woodstain missing as the "bitterant" mixture had eaten through it. How the heck are you supposed to apply something so strong to your dogs sensitive stomach and genital area!!!!

I got an email from odour go explaining that they had a problem with the email server thingo, and that is why they had problems with communication. Oh ,,, I don't know what to think now..I've always had excellent service from them and I guess either way, I still find this the best product I've ever used because it lasts so long and I can use it for so many things. I remember you said that but..... I sent emails over two weeks and no response. If you had an issue with your email server you can do a few things like - take down the contact page as your form of communication and put up a phone number and a temporary email, I mean anyone can set up a Gmail/Yahoo account and what about you put up something on your main page stating you are currently experiencing issues. Plus didn't someone mention that they also had issues with delivery time from OdourGo and that's why they wanted to go through Seabouy I feel for Seabouy - they are in a rock and a hard place at the moment and really all they had done up until now was respond to our queries promptly, offer a better price, loads cheaper postage and a faster turnaround. They've done everything right and now they are being slammed by both their supplier and someone who wants to be a customer. It really sucks!
-
I have had nothing but exceptional service from Seabouy and will continue to buy from them and recommend them. Unfortunately Aussie Post has lost my parcel and when I called Seabouy they immediately said they would organise not only a replacement, but for it to be personally delivered to my home address the following day. I'm not interested in getting involved in the dispute between OdourGo and Seabouy, unfortunately posting all this on a public forum will probably only mean that the rest of us end up being unable to purhase direct from Seabouy as well. OdourGo can complain - but to date I have still not received a response from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turns out they (Seabouy) are only about ten minutes from me LOL. I can easily pop down and pick up my order - yay! Melissa is LOVELY and placing my order was very easy - just call her mobile number that was posted earlier

We had quite a few of the blocks before and they were really good - I didn't think they were that strong and I am very sensitive about strong perfumes (I actually cannot wear perfume as it gives me a headache if that helps as an indication) I've emailed the Odour Go folks twice now to place an order and no response I might ring the cattery folk and see who they source through, maybe I can get some quicker through them...

I have no idea. I use it on bedding and other area's and have never noted any irritations, but you might be better off finding out directly from the company, or even find out why your dog is so smelly. What does she smell like? Winterpaws, this company also make odour blocks. I have a lavender one and a peppermint one. I use the peppermint in the toilet, and lavender is in my lounge room. Do you have a contact number you can send me so that I could order some?
-
There is no contact number on their website? I'm glad you posted this as I had been trying to find the old thread LOL A friend used to work in a cattery and they also had these little tubs that had an odour block in them - I had a few and they were really good. You could slide them under a lounge (to stop pets getting at them) and they also worked to neutralise the odour. Cannot remember the name of the company for the life of me!!!

Family Pet Dogue De Bordeauxs Stolen And Killed

I wish I hadn't read that. I found it really really distressting -
Tina had this surgery done last year when she had an intusucception We think it is what prevented her from being very ill on Good Friday. She got sick at about 11.30 that night and we had to rush to the emergency vet. She had all the symptons of bloat - restless, wanting water and started retching when I was on phone to vet. Vet also thinks she may have started to bloat but it didn't develop? So other than a massive vet bill we got through it pretty well If I ever have another bloat susceptible breed I wouldn't hesitate to do this surgery
