  1. Hi Just wondering if anyone has any tips on the cheapest place to buy this online? Thanks heaps
  2. Cute pony Looks like the kids had a blast I'm with you on that one - helmets are non negotiable, I don't care how quiet the horse is
  3. Yes. My pup had shoulder OCD before I got her insurance sorted, she is therefore not covered for anything to do with shoulder OCD (in either shoulder, even though it was only clinical in one shoulder). Is that specifically stated on your schedule?
  4. Not dog but horse Petplan I declared that he had been treated for lameness that was thought to be from an abcess. PetPlan put a broad exclusion on the policy excluding "all lameness". I made some representations to Pet Plan and they removed the exclusion :D
  5. Can anyone reccomend a good groomer on the Coast - preferably Wyonh/Tuggerah and surround Need someone who is gentle
  6. It's not a dog product but I use Blackmores Lyprinol for my own creaky joints and find that it gives me a lot of benefit. MSM is also purported to have an anti inflammatory effect
  7. No it has to be either in the wording or on the policy document. They can't just to decide to exclude something without telling you.
  8. I am happily and proudly an irresponsible dog owner. I think I will start a club for IDO's. I don't have collars on any of my dogs and I never will (other than walking obviously). I've read way way too my horror stories of accidents occurring with them - does that make me irresponsible? Any dog found needs to go to a pound - how the heck are owners supposed to find them otherwise?
  9. I seriously got no sleep last night with the storms we had. Thanks Cointreau I will keep my eyes out when I am out and about
  10. The winds up here were insane last night, they kept me awake all night Whereabouts on the Coast - can you give more of an idea of area or suburb?
  11. I'm not sure that Dr Chris is much of a draw card for this crowd
  12. I'm so sorry Rusky. I know how much you loved her and how much you have done for the breed because of her ((massive hugs from all of us))
  13. Can anyone tell me what causes hot spots on dog and how to prevent them. We noticed a sore on Charlie last night and thought maybe he and Henry had played a little rough. But I've just come home and he now has another patch on the other side of him where he has been gnawing and it looks all festy and sore. The skin is bright red. Is there a better food to give them? In all the time we have had him we have never had issues with his skin but lately he has been licking a lot. Nothing has changed in their diet - chicken mince and veg etc. Thanks
  14. I agree. Hell would freeze over before I would let my cats roam. You just cannot trust people and we have had incidents of local kids maiming wildlife :D
  15. How does this breed cope in a suburban yard? How do they cope with livestock - i.e. horses? Are they good off leash (yes with training) Are they good with small animals like smaller dogs, cats and chickens? What are they like with other dogs?
  16. The first and second times of what? Mild grumbles? Squabbles over a biscuit? Brawls? What about Dianed, to give a very specific example. Is she irresponsible too? What happens when the pushy little bitch is fully mature and starts to sense that the older girl has weakened a little? Also, How should tidierikx separate her bitches now? Rehome one? Put one down? Keep them in separate yards forever and hope like mad that one of the kids will never, ever leave a gate or door between them open? Is supervision the key? Or are some people such good owners that their dogs would never dare to fight? Not meaning to have a go, but it was a pretty big call to call somebody irresponsible, without explaining exactly what the responsible thing to do would have been. I do not envy the choices in front of tidierikx right now. My advice to the OP. Just get a male this time. Well consider me the voice for the animals because I think as the human you are responsible for ensuring injuries like that don't happen. Yes mistakes happen and I agree but after you realise that the dogs will fight, and to that extent, you seperate them. How - I don't really give a rats how you do it - but you do it because it is the right thing to do and dogs should not have injuries like that According to the below quote they will be running togethor again as soon as this lot of injuries heals up - which just blows my mind away
  17. It was a mistake. It isn't irresponsibility when you consider the large number of people here that do exactly the same thing, every day, and claim that all is fine and ok because they "supervise". Why don't you have a go at those people when they post, instead of having a go at somebody that has learnt their lesson the hard way. The 1st and second times are mistakes I agree. After that I think you identify you have an issue and you seperate them for their own welfare
  18. I would run those two seperately. That's just irresponsible allowing them to run togethor when you know there is the possibility they will fight like that and have a history of it
  19. Ummmm council in South Africa? Not sure of your laws!
  20. I like it!!!! What is the inside like?
  21. I would love a bloodhound but I am not ready to get another dog after losing Tina and we still have 3 here She is just gorgeous
  22. Ohhhh I have JUST the dog for you. I've thought about ending it's life a couple of times. Ohh and I can deliver LOL - it is very very cute but ummmmmm............ no! I do love a giant and I just don't think she makes the grade in the *BIG* stakes Nice try though :D
  23. I work from home most days of the week so mine are lucky to be with me pretty much all the time. It would be hard to work out which one to take to the office if I had to decide!
  24. Or maybe a boot maker? They would be used to replacing zippers on heavy duty items?
  25. Is it the one in your sig? Send it to me and I will love him/her forever - we only do forever homes here :D
