Jack you were taken too soon. I miss you every day, you were such a little momma’s boy and such a dork. You were so intelligent, obedient and full of life. The decision to let you go was the hardest I have ever made and I imagine heaven will be seeing you again. You were the best dog I could have ever asked for as my own. I will never be able to have anything that resembles a Border Collie again because it will never be as good as you. I love you, miss you and I hope you are chasing balls and playing tug in the sky.

Lovely to meet lincoln today valleycbr sorry smurf was a grumpy bum he is a sok but doesn't know how to interact with other dogs once playing he is fine just approaches in the wrong loud manner sorry if he upset lincoln. Your dog was fine I am just a bit sensitive of Lincoln cause he is a bit sore and didn't want him to get worked up barking. Your pup was so cute! Just wanted to snuggle her! She looks tiny!

How do you know what she wants? Have you had some personal conversation where she told you her deepest desires? No. Because you have no idea who this person is. So, Why doesn't someone list reasons to become registered, and maybe create another loving registered breeder in the future, rather than just making someone else hate purebred dog owners. Someone coming on to whinge about $7 id tags is hardly going to want to pay $300+ to become a registered breeder. lovemesideways dosn't it bother you when people think your lovely labs are fat/lazy/stupid because mass produced generic labs are sent to homes that feed to much/dont exercise thier dogs/ don't train them that go on to produce more of the same.

Its amazing how each of us have a favorite breed and we tend to stick with it, when I get another dog will probably be getting another lab ..... just love their personalities. Ptolomy glad to hear that Mason is not the only dog around here allowed to sleep on the bed.... It would be hard to convince me to have any breed other then a Chessie and heaps of people think I am odd for that. Sometimes I can't see why other people can't see it too! Health testing WASN'T done... a vet did xrays... that isn't hip or elbow scoring. At least an attempt was made, better then most of these unreg breeder forums. Not that I am defending the OP it makes me so depressed to think epople spent 100's of years developing and perfecting these breeds so people who wouldn't be able to even find the breed standard can pump out puppies becasue it looks cute/money/ want a new dog but arent prepared t pay ect..

Kazzie this is the second thread in 2 months we have had of people who need advice breeding unregistered choc labs. I wonder what your breeder thinks of you breeding the dogs and I wonder what will happen if some one has a litter from the dogs you bred but that is not as discriminating as you were about health testing. Sounds like you are doing the right thing but please try get your puppy buyers to desex as plenty of labs are bred by people who don't test just to make money.

Go Kyzer! His first run JDX was great. I didn't notice any stuff ups and he was going nice and fast. I only got to watch the one run but... The person I was waiting for never did show up.

Not sure if this is true but I heard light herding breeds (Bc's and kelpies) that test effected for HD commonly but show clinical signs rarely due to the breeds having "loose hips". I have no idea if thats true and would love to know. (Discalmer, I am a retriever person in our breeds bad hip scores usually means bad hips )

We don't assume the worst of people. We assume that everyone will do the best thing and be fully prepared for a litter of pups before they arrive. And then sometimes we get disappointed. I don't think Whelping Supplies is too expensive all things considered.

Ok I have two yays from my training session just then and one uh oh. First of all I was training Lincoln with boring kibble (he is slowly being phased back to normal food post surgery) and had Toby playing with his iSqueak nearby the whole time more interested in that then food (first yay! I have been working on getting something that makes him really motivated) anyway Lincoln was going great remembering the limited command set he knows with hand signals and words, I decided to switch it up, first I did 100% hand signals and he was great didn't miss one. Then I did 100% words, didn't get one . Should I re-train the basic commands using new words that have meaning or try to add in current words (sit, stand) again properly?

If miss Ruby was a member of the Gun Dog Club she could get the obidience dog of the year trophy
