  1. Aww Trixie! I will see how my little baldie (Lincoln) is going but hopefully we will be able to make it.
  2. Who is still doing Adelaide Royal? I am a tentative yes right now depending on my boss letting me have a couple of days off. There should be a good Chesapeake prescence there as a few will be coming from Victoria.
  3. I sent my Rally form off ages ago and already recieved an email confirmation. No idea which dog I am taking. Should probably make an effort to get to training at Eden Hill. Might be there Monday with Toby. Will probably join the beginners class cause it's been so long.
  4. Aaah that cracked me up Funnily enough the screaming thing never put me off Tollers, just didn't feel I meet a Toller's needs! Maybe one day! Anybody here going to the trial on Sunday? VCBR are you entering any trials or leaving it for a bit? I am on a break with Toby until July 31st. However I will be at K9 on Sunday with Lincoln because (a) he has a fan that wants to meet him (b) my friend wants to get a Goldy so we are going to the specialty so I can do some introductions and © to listen to Maureen Gamble who bred Lincoln's great grandsire give a talk about breed type. Now we are also going to watch Kyzer in Excellent and to see him get his AD title.
  5. I would love that Mirawee. I have been to the obidience a couple of years ago to meet with Ptolomy and find out all about Tollers because I wanted to get one (before I found out they screamed ). The ring seemed pretty tiny though so no idea how they fit agility in there.
  6. I haven't been to training since the Nationals or done anything with Banjo at home Really need to start again but things keep coming up and I have used any excuse not to do the trip to Canine Maybe we should do the biggest disaster strat pairs in the world! Yes I should start training, my aim is for Toby to have his JD title by the time he is 3. So that gives me a year. RS the allocated bench is for showing, not agility/obidience, I have no idea how that works. I will try come watch obidience with you, I should enter Lincoln in CCD to get a free ticket and bring him along as a practice run for showing but scratch him from actually competeing.
  7. I am looking at entries then at half bald Lincoln then back to entries a bit unsure. Might enter but plan not to go. It's cool for show people you can request to sit next to your friends. (Like in high school when you went to camp) I think I will enter Toby in novice jumping but probably end up scratching him. The poor dog has not recieved much training lately.
  8. The Xoloitzcuintle ( AUS) Xoloitzcuintli ( US) will be recognised from Misc class to full class AKC come Jan 1st 2011 after many years in the back seat !! Pretty sure the Entlebucher will be going into the herding group Jan 1st 2011 too.
  9. Seems like they are going for a black/white theme maybe? Except Dashund but aren't they the Peter Alexander signature?
  10. Not many gundog breeds are good watchdogs, off the top of my head Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Curly Coated Retriever are.
  11. Chesapeake Bay Retriever Fits pretty well.
  12. Razor burn is on his tummy which is all shaved. But there isn't much. I will put on some paw paw ointment.
  13. Are you having trouble 'containing' him? Just don't leave any butterflies around. He is in his crate so not too much trouble. Don't know how I am supposed to keep him contained for 3 weeks though! You will be surprised at how he will adapt. That's whats so good about dogs, they are generally very adapatable! I wondered how I was going to keep my big boofa contained for 6 weeks post cruciate op - it wasn't as bad as I expected Some gentle onlead wanders around the garden so he can have a sniff will be as good as anything for Lincoln. ;) The problem is he thinks he is perfectly healthy and wants to go run around with Toby! :D Also anyone know how to treat razor burn . (For Lincoln!)

  15. Lincoln is back home and chilling in his crate.
  16. Me too I lost a year and thought he was coming up 3.
  17. Just thought I should say Happy Birthday to Toby who is 2 today. Poor boy got a little bit forgotten in the drama. Our boy dogs are competeing who can have the stupidest accident as pups, Jack (RIP) ate snail pellets $800, Toby broke his leg around $3000 all up and Lincoln ate something that gave him gastro, his bill: . Happy Birthday Toby
  18. Just got back from the vets. Lincoln was being really sooky and kept trying to get into my lap when I first got there. Then I got to take him out in the garden with the vet so he could have a pee, once he had he kept trying to chase the butterflies. I then got to stay while he had a little bit of food. He is getting better and will be allowed home once he is off the pain meds and his blood levels are back to normal. He is half bald though! But still looks as cute as ever. Ptolomy you know I would. I might do show classes only with Lincoln until all that hair grows back (maybe around 2 or 3) and if you are at K9 Tuesdays or Thursdays Ciderbear can do some show training with me too and I will be happy to handle her at shows as long as I'm not working and bring Lincoln along so he dosen't forget what a show is.

  20. Just got a call from the vets, Lincoln has gone out for a pee and is drinking and eating. I should get to go visit soon.

  22. Have to agree the Lab was the funniest. :D
  23. I am really excited that coming up I have a Canadian and Mexican judge. Having a breed that is rare here but pretty normal in North America it makes me happy that someone who has seen the breed and knows it well will be out to judge my dog. Last time we had international judges (Canadian and Swedish) they said some really nice comments about my boy.
  24. Warning this is about to get photo heavy. Just thought I would post some pics of the special guy to say thanks for the well wishes everyone.
