Yum Yum says Pele Shovelling roast chicken pieces into Pele before we went into the ring at the GSD club trial the other week got us through the individual exercises Then Pele "blew" the 3-minute group sit-stay with handlers out of sight by lying down with 15 seconds to go No whole roast chicken for Pele there, but I was sooo proud of her effort

OMG!!! I think you should have chucked them in a trash can! What a load of rubbish. Yes, I've been known to hide those sorts of books too, at both the library and book stores

I refuse to call them a DD. I refer to them as MM's, "Megabuck Mongrels" A friend of mine has a poodle/schnauzer cross and that's what I call her and not the ridiculous MM name. It upsets her owner who thinks that she comes from a very good breeder, and won't hear of it as a puppy farm. Anyone who breeds rottweiler/poodle X's must be mad

Shirley Chong website is excellent. Be sure to download the 2 free books "Just Plain Clicker Sense" and "The Clicker Cookbook"

Open Obedience- Cop Or Broad Jump.
Bully replied to Tay.'s topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I'm doing broad jump with Pele because I'm trying to keep Open fun for her. She loves the broad jump. It's highly unlikely we'll ever do Utility, but hey, I said the same about Open I do practise COP a little bit, but Pele is still creeping forward on the sit from the down. In novice we failed COP in a few trials when she anticipated and dropped before the command -
Behaviour Of Staff And Their Dogs At A Pet Store

Good way to scare off customers :D -
Hopefully Pele and I might make it and meet all the newbies :D Depends how I feel. It will be the first anniversary of my partner, Allen's death that day and don't know how it will affect me.

so what are the rules. no food? am i correct? scout Here's the link to the Australian National Kennel Council website http://www.ankc.org.au/Rules.aspx scroll down to obedience to download the rule book. You will be aiming at commencing your trialling career in Community Companion Dog (CCD). You are probably a way off from being ready to trial, but will give you something to aim for. Go along to an obedience trial and have a look at the CCD class, which is nearly all on lead. If you feel that your girl is ready try her in a mock trial. To enter trials you will need to be a member of Dogs Victoria and your dog be either a registered pedigree or you will need to apply for an associate register number and purchase a trial entry book. Trials are listed in the Dogs Victoria magazine. Good luck

CONGRATULATIONS!! :)

Thanks Zug Zug Must have been the roast chicken and BBQ steak I was shovelling into her before we went into the ring ;) We scored 25 / 30 Her DOR was terrible. On the heel forward she had a brain fart and forgot to sit. When I called her she came in soooo sloooowly anticipating the drop, which at least she did on command, then rocketed home on the second recall, then had another brain fart and forgot to sit again on the finish and we scored 15 / 30 - phew!!!! Minor deductions on the other exercises. I may have been pinged a point on the dumbbell on the flat as when she returned and gave me the dumbbell I forgot myself and said "Good Girl!" before the finish. I thought "OOPS!!" as soon as I said it. Oh well We had 123 / 150 going into the stays Then disaster struck and no roast chicken for Pele. Hopefully next trial she'll earn one :mad
-
We were on a pass, not a good score, but still a pass going into the stays. On the sit-stay apparently Pele lay down with 15 seconds to go I was still very proud of Pele as I haven't put the work in lately and she's been woeful in her heeling. I only entered because I was going to be at the trial anyway. What a thrill today was even tho' we didn't pass
-
He was a gorgeous boy and a great ambassador for rotties :p
-
Good luck tomorrow DSO. No brag here either but I'm sooo proud of Pele. She was sooo close to her first CDX pass at the German Shepherd Dog Club's obedience trial today. She worked beautifully, although DOR was just ok. We were sitting on a pass going into the stays!!!! In the 3 minute group sit-stay with handlers out of sight Pele apparently dropped 15 seconds from the end Soooo close Never mind I was sooo proud of her and know that she's capable of getting a pass. No roast chicken for Pele today, but I'm sure she'll earn one soon :p

Pele and I are entered on Saturday. We're going to be there on the day and seemed like a good idea at the time We aren't ready and haven't put in the training due to the dramas in my life so will be interesting Hmmmm, just think to self "Go out and have fun!" How much can a Bull Terrier embarrass you? We'll see Good luck Zug Zug If Zamba can nail the stays you'll have a leg I'm sure Wish Pele could have some of Zamba's heeling
