No I had to go furniture shopping instead - bleugh! I'm hoping my new lenses arrive this week Then I'll be out and about too If I can get the car on Thursday I might be able to join you if you want some company? Where we go for the reactive rover walks is full of birds - it's at Perry lakes Reserve and the trees were full of white cockatoos. Did you see my Carnaby's pics? They were amazing birds http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...p;#entry5004479

It is hot already! Got out at 8am with the 2 weasels, took them both to the reactive rover group walk, and dragged OH along as well It was a good walk, but Daisy found it warm already. We stopped at a cafe on the way back and had breakfast, and Daisy got accosted by a sweet little girl ;) She did ask if she could touch them first which was good, and luckily Daisy loves kids, so she lapped up all the hugs and fuss - while I had to answer a million questions about them - such as... Are they scared of policeman? (a police car drove by) What's that spot on her back? (just a spot ;) ) And best of all.... Do they climb trees? :D

Brilliant KK, a drool bubble My dogs don't drool and I don't know any babies, so I may get a bit stuck on that one -

* Tamron SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD - I like photographing birds so wanted a bit more than a 200mm zoom. * Tamron SP AF 60mm F/2.0 Di II LD (IF) 1:1 Macro - I like bugs * Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM - 'cause I don't have a 50mm lens OH has said this is xmas and next birthday pressies combined I'm hoping by next May (my b'day) she will have forgotten this and I can wrangle a wider lens, as it will still be the kit lens for anything under 50mm for a while And my Lightroom trial ends in 2 weeks.....next years xmas pressie early? ;)

np :p Sorry I did misread what they said 'We will match, through our authorised Sigma dealer network' ;) Anyway I've just bitten the bullet - 3 lenses on their way from B&H 2 separate orders to keep each one under the $1000 limit They're my fist 'proper' lenses after the kit lenses, so can't wait to try them Sorry for hijacking the thread Bec

Yummy, all that crunchy protein Not surprised the horses are freaked out

I know local stores need support, but when the price for another lens I'm looking at is $799 online at Teds vs $489 at B&H then there is no contest if it were say just 50-100 dollars difference then I would buy 'local', but it is almost half the price - it's very hard to justify spending that much extra when internet shopping from overseas is so easy these days

Bec - if you're still thinking of the Sigma lens check this out.... http://www.crkennedy.com.au/v1/index.cfm?p...ageRef=210& SIGMA AUSTRALIAN WARRANTY ON GREY IMPORTS C.R. Kennedy & Co P/L will only undertake warranty repairs on products sourced through us. All products imported directly from overseas and resold are not covered by our warranty. This includes purchases through ebay and through grey importers such as www.camerasdirect.com.au, www.d-d-photographics.com.au and www.globalmediapro.com. Mark Harrison from www.camerasdirect.com.au has been directly advised by Sigma Japan that C.R. Kennedy, the only authorised Sigma agent in Australia, will not cover warranty on Sigma products bought through www.camerasdirect.com.au We will match, through our authorised Sigma dealer network, any legitimate advertised internet price on Sigma lenses by these grey importers. I've emailed them to see if they will price match DWI on a 50mm 1.4, so I'll see what they say - worth a shot

We have the same problem with Daisy - raw fed so poop always nice and firm. My vet said some dogs just can't express them themselves - can also be down to the position and size of the glands. I got the vet to teach me how to do it - it really is pretty simple - preparation is 90% of the job, make sure you have wet wipes, tissues, vaseline, gloves etc all ready before hand. Oh and don't do it indoors - Daisy's usually comes out slowly as a thick paste, but one day when it was really cold and snowy outside, I did them in the kitchen - BIG mistake! This time the gland decided it would empty 'explosively' and we ended up with gunk splattered across the fridge and wall on the other side of the kitchen It was revolting, but also very comical - even my OH was laughing and she really doesn't cope well with icky stuff

Have a look on HERE - they make the most amazing collars, and will make exactly what you want. My Frida is the brindle and white model on this page, and the Cresties are in the gallery My spaniel had one of these and it stood up to all his forest and beach romps. I love their new Pebbles collection They're not the cheapest, but they are such good quality ok I admit it I'm a Holly&Lil addict

Is Canned Food Bad For Dogs Teeth?
CrazyCresties replied to Sasha (Alexander)'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
A percentage is just that - a percentage and not a defined weight, so as you multiple the weight, the percentage of protein will stay the same as the other ingredients will also increase proportionally. Does that make sense I'd be concerned if any dog food claimed to have 70-77% protein :D -
lol, that is so funny - happy pup trying to do zoomies with a cast on :D

I've just got the 350D and kit lenses atm, so going for 3rd party ones as I don't need L quality yet - need my skill level to increase dramatically first * Tamron SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD * Tamron SP AF 60mm F/2.0 Di II LD (IF) 1:1 Macro * Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM or Sigma Lens 50mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM And I have my eye on a 7D if some shares I have keep moving upwards
-
I'll be watching this with interest as my OH has said yes to lenses for xmas too B&H definitely is cheap, but I have a concern about warranties if I get a duff lens DigiDirect seems to have reasonable prices and Australia warranties, but they can't match dwi or digitalrev for prices. Bec - is that the 70-200 L ? Very nice I think you could buy all 3 lenses I have on my list for one of those
