How gorgeous, my groomer back in Scotland had two that I would sit and cuddle while my dogs were groomed, they were beautiful dogs. So we had fun tonight! Met some friends and their two border terriers for a sundowner by the river at Mosman. Luckily left our two at home. We'd been there a while with the dogs playing happy by themselves, and with other dogs at the park. Most of the dogs leave and we realise one doesn't seem to be with anyone. He stayed by us for a while and then we were joined by a JRT with no owner either! The first dog had a collar on, so we look and see it lives just across the road, so I take it home, much to the relief of the owners who didn't know it was out. Went back to the park and 5mins later it's back out with us! I took it back again and they then realise it has obviously found a new way out of the garden. I asked them about the JRT as it had no collar, and they thought it lived up the road. So our friends leave and we put the JRT on a bit of rope and go door knocking in Mosman Park! Few people are in or bother to answer and as we are walking back to our car, the mother of the girls we returned the first dog to pulls up and we ask her. She takes us up to the house where she thinks it lives and leaves us at their drive way, anyway no answer there or next door, so we head back to the car again. The mother is just getting back into her car so we ask if she can take our number to give to these people as I had no pen, but then I thought, sod this we returned her dog, so she can do the good deed now and I asked if she could look after it until they returned. I know the JRT was ok with their dog at the park, so figured it would be better there than back at ours with my two social misfits! She said ok and would put it in her laundry until she could see they were home again. Adventurous evening!

A Couple Questions About Importing Dog From Usa
CrazyCresties replied to LabsRock61a's topic in General Dog Discussion
I brought two of mine over from the UK a couple of years ago, one of them failed the tests for leptospirosis as she'd had the vaccine not long previously (we didn't know we were moving when she had her jabs). We just had to wait a few weeks I think and then had her re-tested to show the positive result was due to the vaccine. Both mine are adult rescues with social issues, but they are no more screwed up now than they were before they went into quarantine  -
Anyone With Experience In Prednisolone Tablets?
CrazyCresties replied to donski's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My Siamese has been on them for months now for allergic asthma. Certainly an increase in appetite but as she was suffering from awful hacking coughing fits, I'm happy to trade some potential side effects for her ability to breath! Speak to your vet, but it's always worth considering their quality of life on the drugs, even with side effects, vs not. -
Jive is adorable and looks very cheeky  Just love those ears! Banjo looks like a wolf with all his hackles raised

Well the leading day by a massive one vote is Sunday  That's fine with me - shall we say about 9am-ish? How does that fit in with those who want to come? Sorry you can't make it RV, hopefully we'll meet up soon as would love to see how Zora is developing :) Hope you can make it Mim, it would be great to meet one of your gorgeous Corgis, and hopefully get some pics :D Neither of mine are humpers. -

Ok so who's up for some Easter 'Fun in the Sun' with a beach meet* *Unless anyone tells me there are nasties washed up on the beach this time of year, then we may go elsewhere  Added a poll so we can see which day is the fav :)

Ok, a possible couple of takers for a beach trip :D I might start a thread in social events too. According to BOM looking like 'mostly sunny' for most of the weekend. My camera will be with me as always RS *insert missing winky icon here* eta Meet thread here http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/235960-perth-easter-meet-kwinana-beach/

Uh oh ST what haven't they done for you? All good with Indy, and again they can't get over what a bomb-proof cat she is. No sedation needed for the numerous x-rays she just had, I say she's half brain-dead  No obvious sign of arthritis Although there is definite pain reaction from manipulation round hips and front left shoulder. Going to treat with heat and massage for now and she how she goes, maybe try some acupuncture as well. Chest x-ray also looking good, the thickening of her bronchia (sp?) has lessened so we are to just continue with her pred treatment. We were also comparing tattoos, as the vet had one done on her wrist a few weeks back

Woo Hoo :D

MG - Glad to hear Gibbs is going so well, that's great news Indy is off to the vets in the morning for x-rays to see if arthritis is the cause of her stiffness She is just gorgeous Ptolomy She looks so puppy-like :D and looks like a true gundog with that mud

How awesome Kirislin! that's fabulous :D -
I don't think she'll be so keen now - Daisy pee'd on her brand new bed last night! She had a good walk yesterday, the doors were open all day, and I kicked them out for a pee before bedtime. She was unsettled for a while last night as the room was different I guess, and was whining a bit, so I took her out in the garden again in case she needed to go, but she didn't do anything. I wonder if it's a marking of territory thing? but I thought dogs didn't like peeing on their bedding? She has always had issues with toileting though - I think bad things happened to her as a pup if she messed in the house, before the rescue got hold of her Anyway new blankets and bedding all in the wash, so we'll see how she goes tonight. Maybe of to the vet to check for a uti if this keeps happening. lol, the first time I met Zora she had just run under Toby while he was peeing - I pulled up in the car and pee covered pup runs up to say hello
-
Thanks for the dates for the gundog trails, someone remind me closer to the time as I'd like to come and watch :) So after Daisy peeing on the bed in our second spare room, we have decided to take the bed down (luckily it was a cheap mattress) and turn the room into Daisy's Den as it's where she sleeps every night any way  So after a trip to ikea this afternoon (we're on hols this week) for a rug and throws, and trip to the pet shop for a new bed for her, who should make themselves at home in the room but little Indy
