Is that just post-surgery? I feel sure it would be for post surgery dogs. Many dogs for various health reasons who have not undergone surgery may not be able to walk freely without the assistance of their owners.

This is what you posted at 7.56pm last night. Something is not right. How could you be up with him for most of the night when it was just 7.56pm? What is it that I'm not getting here?
-
The above ^ is what you posted at 8.13pm last night (in the Man thread)How do you know he didn't take some kind of a turn while he was recovering from the anaesthetic when he was unattended in car while you were shopping?

Yes this ^. That's exactly the way I feel. I expect my dogs to be well behaved and to respond to my commands but I want them to enjoy their walks. I don't expect my dogs to behave like programmed robots. They enjoy full run of the house and yard. My deaf dog is a bit of a challenge but we're getting there, slowly.

She ended the relationship. I doubt she slept with him after she found out what he did.

It sounds as though this dog is being fed a lot of rice. He has rice with both meals. Not a very nutritious diet for a dog.

In the theme of Feeling Sorry for the Dog. I was walking with my dog when a guy with a medium sized oodle was walking towards me and my two dogs. His dog was showing interest in my dogs but not being difficult when he hit it across the face. Without thinking I said "Stop hitting that dog". He then proceeded to tell me he never hits his dog. WTF? So I asked him what did he think I just saw him do. By this time we were close to eachother and his dog was interacting with my dogs in a polite way. He told me my dogs were well behaved (as was his dog) so I took the opportunity of telling him I had never raised my hand to them. He then again said that he doesn't hit his dog. Without starting an argument I couldn't think of anything else to say. Poor dog. Edited to add: my dogs also have two meals a day.

Auto Immune Induced Granuloma

Oh Erny, you're an agent for Transfer Factor? Brilliant news! I've been buying it from USA for the last 6 years because I couldn't find anyone here who sells it here. Would you be kind enough to provide some details? I give it to my two dogs and now take it myself. -
You tap so softly you can hear a pop I'm guessing my next door neighbours can hear the bang when I dispatch one of these massive creatures. I ensure they'll have a very quick, painless departure.

Yeppers T. Benz did mention that the dog has been regularly wormed but didn't say whether or not this had been done a day or so before the problem presented.

The vet has probably prescibed medication in order to restore the dog to optimum health. When one of my dogs is unwell I happily take veterinary advice to "stuff chemicals down it's throat" if medication is required to get my dog well again. That's why I took the dog to the vet in the first place. If I thought I knew better than the vet I wouldn't bother taking my sick dog to the vet.

Most Councils in metro Melbourne specify that the lead should be no more than 1.5m long. Unless of course the dog is being walked on leash in an off leash park. Extending leads are not suitable for dog walking around suburban streets, unless of course you have the extending lead locked to 1.5m. which defeats the purpose of the extending lead. If you're walking your dog around the 'burbs' on the ex. lead you might like to check your Council's regulations.

IMO anyone who would tattoo a dog is an attention seeking moron. They must be such boring individuals. Tatooing their dog is a pathetic attempt to get people to notice them.
-
As has been said. Walk in a different direction or at a different time of day. I loathe those extending leads. A few people around here use them usually with snappy, growling, small dogs. If I see someone coming towards me with a dog on an extending lead I cross the street. I haven't seen any large dogs on these leads. I wonder why it is that the people who use extending leads are those with badly behaved dogs who aggress at any other dog they see.

Huntsman's crawl on sleeping people? Surely you jest. Please tell me this is not true.

This ^ and I'm not a 'stupid animal rights douchebag' either. I can only imagine the injuries caused to my Cavalier KC Spaniels if they had ear tags or tags suspended from their necks. Did you and your sister really think this through?

Parents' Outrage Over Dog Attack Ruling
cavNrott replied to White Shepherd mom's topic in In The News
While Mr Polkai, the child's parent is talking about precedents. I wish this case would set a precedent for adults to use their common sense and always supervise their children around dogs. -
Yep, surgically castrated, not chemically castrated.

The girlfriend is a bit weird saying he was 'cheating on her' with the dog. Ermm, it was a bit more serious than cheating, love Did she rehome the poor dog because she considered it to be the other party involved in the cheating I wonder? I'm pretty sure I couldn't rehome a dog I owned who was abused in any way, let alone in this disgusting way
-
That disgusting deviate should be behind bars. He'd soon learn his lesson if he was incarcerated with a few animal loving inmates who would ensure that justice would be seen to be done. Instead he gets to walk free. I'll bet he was regularly abusing the poor dog. For sure he didn't video himself the first time he abused her. As for his legal representative referring to him as a 'boy'. He's not a child. Isn't he legally an adult at 19 years of age? efs: typo.

Ah,you mean lighter as in Mitre which would have a totally different meaning if it was pronounced as meeter.

Brilliant post Wunda Thank you so much for taking the time to post this very detailed information. -
I'm in two minds about taking him back out at the moment. I may wait until I get the titre results back from Hemopet. Interestingly though my vet did the new 'in house' test first and received a negative result both times she tried. They suspected it was the test as it is new to them, so also sent it to VetPath. My vet spoke to the head haematologist there last night who was absolutely certain he has no immunity. The tests were batch run with control samples, and other samples which returned positive results, it was just Louis's that showed no detectable antibodies It will be interesting to see the result from Hemopet. Also how the heck do you pronounce it 'teat-er' or 'tight-er' It certainly will be interesting to see the result from Hemopet. You will post the results here won't you please? I want to know if you pronounce it 'teet-er or tight-er' too. Can someone please put us out of our misery and tell us the correct pronunciation?
