How long have you had her for? For the 1st 3 weeks I had my puppy she was awake at 4.30 - 5.00 EVERY DAY! Christmas day we were up before the kids! Then one day I woke up at 7am & freaked out that the dog wasn't up! I rushed downstairs (thinking the worst) & there she was snoring away in her crate Maybe she will just grown out of it

What a clever dog :)

I have a fear of larger dogs so I wanted a smaller dog (but not too tiny) who could stay mainly inside. It had to be good with small kids. One who would be happy to sit on my lap for a cuddle or accompany me for walks & one that is easy to train. I didnt' think much of the malting factor  I chose a Cavalier King Charles & we all just lover her to pieces

My cav pup is the same.. she pees on command in the backyard but if I take her out to the park or when we goto puppy preschool she won't go. She'll hold on until we get home then runs to the backyard!

Are You Not Allowed To Dislike Certains Dogs Around Here?
Cavstar replied to HugUrPup's topic in General Dog Discussion
I dislike loads of breeds Probably from my fear of big dogs (I was attacked by a large breed as a child)... saying that I'd never be cruel to any dog though & respect other people's choice in breeds -
Frozen drink bottles are great for keeping pup cool..my girl loves frozen chicken & cheese spread in the kong Treat balls are also good When I have to goto work I put her breakfast in one & it keeps her occupied for a fair while :) What breed pup are you getting?

Great :) Thanks Yes she picks things up so very fast!

I need some advise on training. I've been training my 14 wo cav a few basic tricks. She can do sit & drop & stay ( for a short while!) I've also started to teach her crawl & leave it. Yesterday I started on high 5. I was jet wondering though if it is best to wait until she has mastered each trick before moving on to another or ok to be learning a few at time? We generally have 2-3 short training sessions a day Thanks :)

How long have you had her for greyseas? When will you get the results? Did the vet think she was a purebred GR? Have you sighted his papers? I've had my pup for 5 weeks now & yet to receive the papers. I know that there are others out there waiting for theirs as well as the office apparently shut down for 3 weeks over xmas/new years. I hope you take heed of everyone's advise & return the pup. Yes its hard but you really shouldn't be forking out for all these tests. He shouldn't really have been sold to you in the first place.

When I got my Cav at 9 weeks she jumped constantly It wasn't until she was 12 weeks that she started to calm down & not jump so much She's 14 weeks now & occasionally jumps (especially at dinner time!) & yes it hurts but I don't acknowledge her until all 4 paws are on the ground :)

Oh wow, bless you :) happy gotcha day Zero x

Vet confirmed yeast infection I have to give her ear drops twice a day for a week Hard to explain the smell.. Sourish I guess? Definitely not pleasant like her paws! :)
-
Sounds dodgy to me too.. Was there any contract in place that you can return the dog?

When my puppy was 6 weeks old the breeder rang me to say that the puppy had a lump on her groin. Her vet thought it was either a fat deposit (which would dissolve in time) or a hernia which would need to be taken out when she was desexed. She gave me the option of not buying the puppy but I couldn't do that I was already in love with her. :) By the time I got her at 9 weeks I couldn't find it! When I took her for her vaccinations my vet gave her the once over & couldn't find it either so turns out it was a fat deposit! ;) Hopefully its just something like that for your pup.

Thanks Showdog. When I made the appt over the phone they asked me if I had it. I've been in 2 minds trying to figure out if it its actually going to be a saving or not!

Good stuff NOCTROL Hopefully Lucy will be on the right track this afternoon. I had everyone at home sniffing her ears last night  Tends to only be her left ear that smells but she is scratching both... actually all over. We'll see what the vet says.
