Packing my dacks. The house needs a really good tidy, which will probably be keeping me busy in the morning and stopping me from jumping on the bed emitting a high pitched squeal like apu in that episode of the simpsons where he works so many hours straight he acts like a hummingbird. I think my sanity is lacking.... There's a farmers market in Williamstown so that looks like a good expedition for Saturday, will drag mum and stop by the pet shop for whatever we've forgotten, I know there'll be something. Sunday we might head out for breakie and perhaps a look at the beach if it's quiet and not icy. We'll see. Monday I might go see my Grandma, so a drive over to Mentone and some lunch with her. Pretty action packed mornings but the rest of the day is quiet so we can start getting a bit of a routine going. On the upside, the more you're out of the house the less piddles IN the house. Ever the optimist!

My other half grew up in Bathurst, so we make the trek a few times a year. We'll be taking our naughty teenager too. Could be disaster but hey!
-
I'm just pimping out my dog for friends and playdates. Don't mind me...
-
You're kidding? Well there you go. Are you taking puppy? We'll totally be up for a playdate!
-
Hey we drive up to bathurst for Christmas, you never know. ;)
-
That's my thinking too. We love a good farmers market and the sounds and smells will do him good too. That and perhaps a few sneaky days at work ;) I sure hope so! Haha. I don't think I could muster formal introductions with 200 people. We have a 'puppy warming' planned too. BBQ in a few weeks. We're only in Laverton, I will hold you to that. Be good to have a same sized playmate around!
-
Well if ever you're in town, offer stands! Trying to introduce puppy to his suggested 200 people. How many friends do these people think I have?
-
We're in the western 'burbs too and I've been watching the sky eagerly. Which part of Vic are you in? If you get really starved for puppy snuggles you're welcome to come round for a cup of tea and a vent when we have an arrival to share! Oooh handy hint! Never even heard that before.

A Follow On Thread For Those Who Now Have Their Puppy
Steph M replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Puppy Chat
We have 2 days to go and I feel like I should be training myself by throwing ice water on my feet at 3am. It's been nice having toes.... -
South Australia to Melbourne. The flight today was delayed 3 hours, not taking that as an omen! They have been really rubbish lately, so disappointing as it's not like there's another option, haha.
-
I knooooow. I am watching the flight/weather delay predictor with great gusto. We have to buy a collar on the way at this rate, we have a harness and leash but the collar I ordered has mysteriously gone missing in the post and this morning I was thinking 'oh that's been about two weeks now, that seems a bit much' Lo and behold it shipped on April 30. Agh!!! Still, happy to stop at a pet store on the way back from the airport and do some A class spoiling :D

My countdown is officially at 1 day. (I'm ignoring the fact that is followed by 23 hours and 59 mins, it's still exciting)
-
Bonus!!!!

That's my game as well! We're all being made redundant in a month, so there's almost no work getting done as is. I am one of the few still plugging away, but as of the 1st there's no new work to be done but filing and archiving and only 2 of us left on the whole floor. Guess who's gonna ask nicely to bring Puppy in?! Never has time gone so fast (when I think of what I should be doing tonight) and so slow (when I think how far ahead it is) 2 days, 20 hours, 31 mins!
-
But work is so booooooooooring. -has a toddler tanty-
-
Oooh why do I have to go to work? It's making the time drag something awful.
-
Oooooooooh I was in your shoes once!
-
That would be my pick too! How exciting, any nibbles as yet?
-
Ugh what a shocking welcome! Hi Leah! Personally I think it's a great idea, if you can overcome the hurdles and everyone does their bit I can't see why it wouldn't be lovely. I'd be on board. We're in a pretty small work place and only a handful of us have dogs, similar to yours. I think it would be lovely to meet other people's dogs, probably pretty good team building and can't hurt to chat to the people you work with about a common interest.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH HOW EXCITINGGGG! Boy/girl? What sort of Corgi? How cool!
-
Yeah, you can see where my priorities are!
-
For sure, not only would it be useless but I would get the wrong size for sure. I have been lurking frantically for the good stuff on free shipping week to week. Not that we don't have enough toys for a start.... Actually one next to work, in Mentone. The poor guy called up work to get some stuff for the commercial vacs in store and I pounced on him. Haha. He even offered me trade discount, which is probably HUGE on $28. Haha. Hopefully that doesn't equal a Bunnings marital contract or something. Awkward! I will grab some zip ties too! Great hint!

I got those crackle balls and the 'fish' version of that ducky toy. Let me tell you know, it looks nothing like a fish. / I have my eye on these; https://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1936 We have a chea plush ducky but I do not see him lasting long. And a Max Pack backpack, and some Nina Ottosson puzzles.... The list goes on!
-
Oooooooooooooh what'dya get?!
-
I will photograph madly when I get home. It looks nicer than our room at the moment, I need to have a good clean up tonight. I was thinking perhaps moving the whole thing into our room, but have Bunnings ordering me some magical compost panels, so we shall see how quick that happens.
