My dogs were in no pain, they were tired from being knocked out, but after a few hours they were bouncing off the walls again!

Both mine were/are like this It has only been the last 12 months that Atlas (3) has been allowed inside without a lead when guest are here - he will have asniff, get a pat and lay down. Before that he was either outside if someone came around, or inside on a lead. Kaos is feral with new people - Doggie people come in and i get them to ignore her, she wont stop, usually me yelling at her is enough to quite her down, but she still doesnt take her eyes off the person!! If it is a non dog person then she is either outside, or on a lead. Until she learns she can not go feral with new people, she will not have access to them

She seems ok tonight? I will keep putting stuff on it for a few days, just to be sure she isnt talking to me at the moment - She tried to poo inside, INFRONT of me!! It is raining and she didnt want to go out, now she is upset that i yelled at her bloody girls!!

I ended up going to the vets, it would not come out... They thought it was great, I still get teased when I walk in there!

Suz said yoghurt, so i got that I can bath her, that is EASY, might give her one tonight!

Nah, that doesnt worry me at all! Im not that much of a sook!! (after all, i did try to pull Ats blankie out of his bum when it was stuck - covered in poo.. so i can handle this!!)

ok ACV how? wash her with it? She has some in her water every day I dont want to hurt her, she is a real sook dog

man, i was jusst about to go and make a cuppa, dont think i will do it now I will see how she is tomorrow, i cleaned her up with water, and dried her, if anything happens again tomorrow i will ring them up

Heya, the last few days Kaos has had a bit of gunk in her eyes, i have been cleaning them, thinking nothing of it, as it has been pretty windy, and just thought it was that causing it Tonight i was out walking with her, she was infront of me and i noticed a fair bit of yellow gunky stuff, crusty and yucky around her girly bits. She gets a bit from time to time, as i am guessing they all do, but nothing like i saw tonight Any ideas what it could be?

yep, he looks good!! I hate fat dogs, and, even though i shouldnt, i often put the animals i am pet sitting on a diet (just dont feed them as much) Staffy and labs are prob the 2 dogs around here that are the worst for being overweight

If you are worried, take him to the vet My Bull Terrier sleeps ALL the time! He settled on the lounge about 7 last night, he got up at 7am, went to the loo, had breakfast, and is now back asleep, and will stay there until i move him The Stafford, well, she bounces off the walls ALL the time!!

I agree, you need to get your dog out and about with other dogs, ASAP - BUT you need to get yourself togther first. Good luck!

My two play all day, they drive me mad, they bark and growl and grab each other but i can tell it is play they have had one or 2 fights, and i could tell the difference, they were a lot quiter - kaos backed off straight away (normally a full on dog when playing) and the both had different movements. Hope they settle down and learn to live together1

2 different posters I still think it is a long time to leave a puppy that you just got. A trip like that would have had to be planned, so if it was me, i would have arranged for a dog after the trip, not before and then have to upset it by changing everything around on it. Just my point of view.

I am a pet sitter and have looked after dogs for longer then you will be away, while they come to love me they go mad when their owners are away what i dont understand is that if you had a trip planned, why would you get a puppy now? Wouldnt the breeder keep the dog another few weeks until you are home, so not to upset its routine?

wow...I didn't know that one. I'm at about 6 years for my tetnus shot. The shelter asked me about it before I started working there, they wont let you if it's over 10 years. Maybe I should get a booster soon since I'm around other peoples (or nobodys) dogs all the time. I wont ever go and get a tetnus shot "just because" I got one when i first started work, 4 years ago, when i cut my foot i told her i was uptodate, she said she didnt care, even if i had one yesterday, i would still be getting one today - so be as up to date as possible, cut yourself, and you get other one - I was also told that they last was longer then 10 years? Im printing that out and sticking it on my fridge, might stop me eating everytime i read it

Ditto - I have a barker/talker (Staffy) and one who only barks for a reason - Even then it is only one or two barks at the most, NEVER on and on and on I actually taught kaos to speak on comand, she never stopped talking, it took me a day - i have also started to teach her to be quite - She grumbles and makes alll sorts of strange noises ALL the time!!
