Umm. Re the being a total pain while inside have you trained him? He is prob happy to be inside that he gets excited, get him a crate and TRAIN him to be the dog you want him to be My 2 dont have a kennel (well, there is one, but At uses it to hide all his toys) They have the garage with a few beds in there, they have eaten god only knows how many beds since i got them - they are dogs, they do things like that! I have had these beds for 6 months now (my dogs are 1.5 and 3 years) but now i said that, they will kill the beds tomorrow I have nothing against having a dog outside at night (mine are crated at night inside) but make sure they have somewhere warm to sleep. Having a dog inside then chucking him out is just not on ETA : can you lock him in the garage at night? so he has no choice but to stay in there what sort of dog?

that is my girl!! she does the same if At leaves the car, or the house - i went for a walk around the block the other day with At, and i could hear her crying the whole way!
-
I had one of the 2 of them doing it, but cant find it!

ohh, i have a chewed wall, but not door His main problems are: Toilet training, sometimes goes outside sometimes not. Ok, ask you mentioned, go get a crate, you can get them cheap on Ebay, and if you spend $2000 on repairs a crate is cheap! Im not sure how long a 5 month old dog can hold it for? But take him out after EVERY meal, after EVERY nap, after EVERY play. If he is inside and starts to cry, take him out - At was shocking for crying, so i made it that whenever he cried, and whatever time, i would go outside and sit (not play at all) untill he went to the loo - it did not take him long to realise that if he wanted out, he cried. Praise dog for going outside, give treats, lots of cuddles. If caught inside, said in a firm Voice NO - Take him out to where you want to pee - IF you DO NOT catch him in the act, but you find a mess inside, ignore it - it is too late to tell him off, he will not know what you are yelling at! Is he desexed? Is he cocking his leg? Jumping up at Guests, really went mad the other day and frightened all our visitors. Been through this one and once again going through it with Kaos - When i had At he would jump on anyone, so he was ALWAYS on lead when someone was around. OR outside. He got pats if he sat or dropped, but not while jumping around. He was 2 years old before i would let him inside without a lead. I am doingthe same with Kaos now - I dont get many visitors, so it is a bti harder for me to train! Also get your visitors to ignore him, give them treats, and when he has 4 paws on the floor, then give him a treat and a pat. He will learn ! Jumping up in the Kitchen or at the table to scroung food. This is a good use for the crates. Put him in there with a bone or a toy and ignore him, my dogs do the same and are not allowed inside while food is getting ready, or being eaten. He has chewed most things, demolished his toys. What else are toys for? Do a search on my dog Atlas, you will be speachles at the things he has destroyed! (mirrors of the side of the car was one of the worst!) He is a puppy! That is what they do, you need HEAPS of toys for him, my guys still kill their toys, and they are 18 months and 3 years old! have you got a kong for him? You fill it with food and it takes a while for him to get out, great to keep him busy! We put him in the Laundry when out and he has taken all the paint off the door down to bare wood. How long are you out for? IF not too long, this is also another crate moment, if all day, maybe it is worth building a dog run in the yard? does he have things to play with? Bones to chew? He has a mad hour everynight where he bites my OH. When ever pup does something or gets hyped up and you cant stop himn with the word no. Just get up and ignore the dog - No more playing, no attention at all - Leave the room, give him a few mins, he is starts again, leave the room again. No means No (man i been watching Me or the Dog a bit tooo much!) Best of luck with your pup!! Just put some time into it and you will have a great family member!

OUCH!! Stupid question of the day :D Do people and dog stitches heal the same - i mean, mine were in my foot for 15 days, and my skin had grown around it - if they were in a dog that long, wouldn tthe same thing happen? -
you have time to DOL, but no time to take a photo? Do you even have this dog? We asked quite a few times on the other thread how she was going and for some photos, and you never replied - Some of us are getting a bit suss
-
dont own a Saffy if you are worried about talking! Kaos does NOT shut up!! I give up working out what she wants

No :D I was going to!! i was allll ready to take Kaos'out, i had my vet nurse flat mate watching me - but no one was strong enough to keep Kaos still soi could cut them. So i ended up having to hold her. Will have to wait and try on Atlas next time he gets some -
ohhh i want one! oh, does pup have a name? have i missed it being posted?
-
how much beging do we have to do? can we please have a photo??

Our bulldogs tongue are alllways sticking out It is always a good idea to test things, so in winter do as Raz said - make sure it isnt cold by doing it yourself.
-
Did you do a straight change over?? Or introduce the food slowly? A new food a week is not good for dogs! Kaos did great on supercoat, i am trying one more food with her, then if i amnot happy with that, she is going back to SC At has skin problems, and has been on Nurto for a few weeks now - will always be on that from now on!
-
Nope - i am waiting to hear back form some people in orange who just started stocking it (paws doenst have any) I am now getting one bag from Dubbo, and the other bag fromorange No one can yell at me if i go that way !!
-
I agree Steve. I have Atlas on Nutro and LOVE it - nothing has worked as well for him then this - but if it was pal or something that i got this good result from, i would have stuck with it! I am giving another nurto a go with Kaos, but if i cant get weight on her with it- i will be going back to one of the cheaper brands. My dogs tell me if they are healthy or not - and Atlas has NEVER looked better!!
-
Im with these guys - my eldest is 3.5 years and i would never dream of leaving him inside - he would eat everything! I woudl not be getting a dog until i had a yard that had fencing
-
i love nurto My cats got stuck into the samples - coudlnt belive it!!! Big holes all through it ARGH
-
NEVER too old to crate train! BEST thing you will EVER do with your dog!! Good luck - i have a dog that has to be watched every second inside, it can be annoying!!
-
And nothing worse then a dog that wont go!! Trust me - kaos will not go to the loo on a lead, in front of me, drives me MAD when i know i have to take her away for the day
-
Im thinking of getting 2 lots next time - kaos isnt too fussed on the one i have them oon, but Ats coat is looking great!! and LESS POOOP
-
I think so - she hasnt tried to bite me, so it must have worked!!
