Thanks I only have crates, i do have access to a puppy pen - but rather not use it because there is no roof on it, she may be silly enough to try to get out of it Mum and Dad do have a run i can use, it is not huge, but much bigger than a crate - but it is in the coldest part of the yard, so unless the sun comes out, there is no way we can use it! I am happy to drag the bed out of the spare room and set that up for her - the carpet is coming out soon anyways, so if she has an accident, it wont matter. ETA: I was thinking about asking the vets to keep her and have some one pick her up friday night, that way i have 2 days home to help her and can try to get into some sort of routine with her! Will chat to the vet on wednesday and see what they say

Thanks At Is on Sashas blend, so there is no problem with getting her on to it either. Finally got her settled, she kept crying in the crate, wasnt sure what she wanted, so took her out to the loo, got her a little drink and some food, and have her snuggled in the crate now, will leave her there till she wakes up again. Bloody dogs

Thanks, She is crate trained, so no problems with that, I was actually about to pack them up as i hardly ever use them! So she cant walk at all for 6 weeks? or is it ok for her to hop around to go to the loo and come back in? or just walk around the house if there is no where to jump? I am going to have a chat to boss at work and see if I can have her at work on the days I work, we have room to set a crate up, and then when I have my breaks, I will take her out. Mum and Dad are happy to come and do it, but I just rather me be the one... I talked to the vet i saw this morning, he told me 6 weeks, but said i need to talk to the vet that is doing the operation, as he is the orthopedic (i think?) specialist. I just picked her up and she is off her face I had to carry her from the vets, and then half carry her into her crate, while it is nice to have her calm, I hate that she has this going on :D (I asked the vet if i could try the sedatives out when she is happy and healthy, he laughed at me and goes 'i have to say no, but understand why you would want to :D )

Ok people, tell me all you know Kaos is at the vets now, vet has sedated her to check her leg out and believes she has torn/snapped it, he said it has to be operated on. He was happy to do it today, but said the vet that is best at them is in on Wednesday, so she is coming home to be crated and sedated until then. I have seen bits on here on and off, but never really paid attention - Vet was busy so couldnt ask all my questions - How long will she be out of action, and what things do i need to know to care for her? she is a full on dog ALL the time, so keeping her still is going to be hard

I woke up to find this next to me last week, When i went to bed he was on the lounge, no idea how he got in there, and in that position without waking me! and the rest of the bed... i hop out... Kaos hops in!! (the cat always sleeps there)

you could send him to me for a few months? I can post him back when he is all growed up?

My pets have a few things, dogs are getting a new buddy bone each and refills, cats are getting a kicky toy thingy, that they can wrestle with In their stockings the dogs have a big chew toy each, and the cats have some chicken treats and toys, and no, none of them are getting anything early! there is a pressie under the tree for me, from my pets and mum and dads pets, I am not sure when they all had time to go shopping? and have no idea what they are getting me! The little shits also managed to get some pressies for my niece for under the tree! I need to check my fences... and my car keys!!

How heartbreaking :D I would never rehome a dog for being a dog I worked in kennels and dogs act VERY different there then they do at home, my guys can not be together at Kennels, or they will fight, where as my cats, who do not like each other here at home, love each other and snuggle together when at catteries. that poor bully

I am sure you are right? I have been a member, but not when I first got Atlas, and I had joined showed and left (or didnt renew that year) by the time I got Kaos, and both dogs were put into my name

Kaos hates it, It is pretty funny, If she goes and steals Ats food when he has it, she takes a mouth full, does this weird shudder thingy and spits it out! Serves her right for stealing! Atlas will eat it, but at the moment the cats are off it, i have a heap in the freezer that was for the cats, but looks like it is now Atlas food!!

no way i could have done it when my guys got stuck into it I did have two leads sitting on the desk, but there was no way of getting them on the dogs! I was lucky that I had a chair to pin one of the dogs down, and able to get the other off, but had i been out in the yard and not in the computer room, I would not have had anything to use (not even a hose, thanks to Kaos eating it!)

My guys carry on a treat when they play, but I know when it turns from playing into something that is crossing the line and soon stop it Saying that, I have only ever allowed my dogs to play with dogs that can take it, there is no way Mum and Dads dog would play with my guys, they are way too rough for her. (Atlas and her play through the door with each other ) But Kaos used to play with one of Rastus Froggies dogs, as well as a Rottie at obedience, they got along well and played the same way. Atlas also used to play with a SBT, once again, great mix. I think anyone who has dogs who play rough are idiots if they allow their dogs to play with other dogs that can not cope with it.

I just came back from a walk with Kaos, some lady started talking to me, walking in the same direction. A stray dog ran up to us, i yelled something to it to scare it off, the lady was disgusted in me! Told me that dog could now get hit by a car and it belongs to someone and blah blah blah. I told her I agree, i dont want anything to happen to the dog, and had I not had kaos, i would have picked it up, but my dog isnt good with others and no way I want a fight, so I did what i had to do, the lady stormed off on me

I think the biggest thing you need to do if there is a dog fight, is NOT PANIC! It is horrible sitting there watching, but if it takes a few seconds to work out what is going on, and what you can use to get the dogs apart and not have you be bitten, it is worth it. Edited - sorry, changed my mind about putting my story up here, would hate the wrong people to read it

god, where do I start? i would be here all day. There is/was a lot of crap on DOL about me, one was that i was trying to steal someone elses partner? They even started a thread about it, I had no idea it was about me till someone told me it was - god, think i would know if i was trying to steal a man (this was years and years ago - thread isnt on DOL anymore) I have also had people make things up, tell other people that i told them and shit hit the fan over it, i still dont know what it is that I was not meant to tell anyone I just stay away from those people now Nothing about my dogs, (that i know of? )

but what is Glenda? Glenda was a frog that lived in my garden, sadly he crossed the bridge a few weeks ago, he found his way into Atlas' mouth but, he left his little baby behind, just need to make sure baby does not come out during the day and never meets Atlas.

My old SBT was attacked by a dog, he was out of it, only thing he wanted to do was kill my dog - someone hit him over the head with a huge lump of wood, split the wood in half, dog didnt feel a thing

We have had flash flood warnings but none have hit so far. I know streets in Bathurst are flooded and parts of dubbo are being evacuated. I can't believe the water that is laying around !! It took mum and dad over 2 hours to get out of Bathurst last week!!

I am lucky, while Kaos loves walks (atlas not so much) they are also happy just to laze around! they have the garage when I am at work, and inside snuggled on the lounge when I am home
