ditto My guys used to sleep in their crates every night when i had them up, if we are out and about they are both happy to wait in their crates, they used to put themselves to bed when they wanted to sleep They are also fine at the vets, i just tell them to go to bed and they hope into the cages with no problems at all.

Not sure about the vomiting, but Kaos gets a HUGE lump when she gets vaccinated, it is amazing - and the reason i no longer vaccinate her good luck with it all

At gets done when it heats up and he starts to lose his fur, he gets the itches... besides that.. ummm? It has been less than a year since i did them, because i did them at work and i havent been there a year... before that? God only knows how long it was! When Atlas was doing Delta he had to be done every week, i was using good shampoo but his coat turned to crap and he was itchy all the time, since i left and stopped washing him he looks good

Tip just took his last breath, the vet was about to ring me to tell me he went downhill fast, but he passed away on his own before she could make the call. As they were still not 100% sure what was going on, she said it was best that i didnt bring him home here to be buried. RIP little boy, god i wish i could find the people who dumped you

He will most likely be PTS this afternoon. Vet syringe fed him a few times over night but he has no interest in food at all, he is losing weight. If he shows no improvement by 4pm he will be PTS. I told them to ring me and i will be there with him and he can come home with me. God i hope he starts to eat

thats just it, the pound has an after hours drop off pen for cats/small dogs and bigger dogs - they are crap, but they are still there. I have contacted a rescue and he is going to be rehomed via them, he will stay with me and be desexed and everything, but they are going to vet homes and find the right one for him. Just need him to pull through now so we can get things organized

and wow, i have 4 messages from people who are interested in him if he makes it! Really hope he pulls through so we can make one family happy

ok, not Parvo Vet said it is some kind of virus, at this stage he is looking better and has been given another 24 hours, he keeps walking over to his food bowl and walking off again so she is going to get him on just milk for now and hope he keeps it down. He isnt pooing as much blood as he was yesterday. The vets have all fallen in love with him and are calling him King - said he keeps finding the highest point of his bedding to sit on

I know I have been in the worse mood the last two days. I just think of everything that could have happened, thursday nights are pretty big in town and work is near some pubs, i keep seeing someone coming past drunk and seeing abox and playing kick or something without knowing what was in it... or him freezing over night. I did a bit of rescue in WA and it broke my heart, this has done that again and i really admire those who see this kind of thing every day and who can still get up and do more to help. I dont think i would be that strong to do it day in day out.

Friday morning I got to work about 8am and found this little guy taped in a box (meat box, was covered in blood, so i was a little scared at what i was going to find when i opened it: They had thrown him in with a can of food and it was spread all over him and he stuck of it I have called him Tip He got checked out by a vet nurse who works across the road and put into isolation. He was very happy and alert and barking at us to have a play, first thing we did was worm him. He wouldnt eat at all but was drinking a lot (had to take his water off him) By the end of friday afternoon he had started to poo a little blood, I rung the vet who said to keep an eye on him and see how he goes over night, to call if he goes down hill fast, that it could be just the worms that were causing the blood (it wasnt lots of blood at that stage) He came and stayed at my house last night (yes, in isolation from my guys) and still wasnt eating, by the morning he was still very happy and alert, and barking for me to play with him, but had a lot more blood in his poo. He is now at the vets on a drip, I have handed all control over to the vet. I told her if it is just a bug and he is going to be ok to fix him, if it is something bad to PTS, to do what she thinks is right. She said she was confused about it as he is very happy still, just not eating and has the blood in his poo, so he was put on a drip, giving antibiotics and wait. I did tell her to ring me at anytime if he got worse or had to be PTS if she could, i havent had a phone call yet so really hoping he pulled through and is going to be ok. Woke up a few hours ago and cant get back to sleep. God I hate people He is such a sweet little dog and they just left him, it has been freezing here and god only knows how long he was waiting in that box for us to get to work RSPCA know about him and are happy for me to keep him if he pulls through, he is too sick to go in there anyways. If he pulls through he will be chipped, vaccinated and desexed before i start finding him a home. So i need all fingers and paws crossed that little Tip made it through the night and will be ok

LOL! The breeze was freezing cold today didnt envy those showing. Fireworks are on right now, and im snuggled up at home watching them, im not that silly to head outside into the cold!

Can't get to vets till Sunday, have talked to them a few times and if he goes downhill I am to call after hours number. Going home now so I can monitor him better. Poor little guy

Came to work this morning to find a cardboard box taped up sitting out the front. Inside was a little puppy I have contacted all the right people about him and for now I am taking him home and getting him better. Vet nurse has checked him over and he Is full of worms, I will get him in for a full check up ASAP. I have never had a wormy dog before. I wormed him this morning, he was very thirsty but hasn't eaten yet he hadnt been pooing all the time but when he does he has a bit of the runs. The last poo had a bit of blood in it - is this normal for a dog with worms? I know the risks I am taking with him and am ok with that, but just want to know If there is anything else I can do for him? I

You know I always think of your Kaos when it comes to naming pets - I think to myself 'they grow in to their name' - that's why I have old people names like Gertrude and Esme - and guess what, they are like old people too , so it works! my next dog is going to be angel or sweetie or something nice and calm.... I had the name kaos picked before I had the dog, it is all my fault

First i am a pet owner But also run my own Pet Sitting business, I am a Qualified Behaviourist, I dont get time to do much with this but do help out from time to time, I am 2IC in a pet supply store and badly want to get back into obedience! I have also been a Team Leader at a local Boarding kennel, was there for about 2 years Oh, i have also worked in a rescue (feels like such a long time ago!) and help out when I can here, i have fostered for the PACERS and plan to do that again if they need me (cat only, cant bring another dog into my house )

I own a Bull Terrier and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, I have lived with the comments for 8 years now, people dont get it and I am over explaining Enjoy your dog and ignore those who know no better - bring your dog up to be the best it can be and you might change some peoples minds, but there are a lot of people who wont change their way of thinking for anyone or anything. Any photos of the new pup? I would love a Standard Poodle one day
