The only thing i didnt like about the kennels was the way it was run. I loved the work and would one day love to own my own. I miss working with the animals so much ;)

I had kaos at the vet once, a Lady walked in with a lead in her hand, i saw the lead and picked Kaos up and moved from where I was, she made a comment on picking up her cat for me... I looked at her, and sure enough, her cat was walking into the vets on a lead! Kaos was only in for a vaccination as was the cat, so the two of them had a sniff and a play ;) I have seen many cats come in with no cages, cant believe some people are so dumb!

Both I cant work it out - I started the first one, then couldnt post as "Leo's Story" so did the other one where we can post as it, but now I can not post as me on it... I am soo confused! One is a group, and one is a page that you can become a fan

I just got 2 turkey wings - OMG they are HUGE! took the dogs a good 10 mins to eat them! ETA Ok, took longer than that, and Kaos gave up! I thought she had fnished, but half is still out there

One of the butchers here has Turkey wings and legs (are they both ok to feed dogs?) but they cost a heap, he is going to ask his supplier if he can get me some necks, but said not to hold my breath! ETA there is one guy i used to get bulk meat off, but my freezer is now dead and i have no where to store it, so no point getting a heap off them off him if i have no where to put them!

I contacted you on MSN - the caravan park near me allows pets - heaps of people stayed there for the orange show, but it is in Orange, so a 30 -40 min drive to get to bathurst from here

ohh, Kaos has a thing about tiles... if she knows the tiles she is fine, but any new places she is shocking!!

Totally different. When I take my dogs to the vet, there is usually a reason, Last time I took Atlas he had ripped 3 nails off, he was in pain, normally he would put up with a cat, but had one came near him then, he would have had a go at it. When out walking, my dogs are healthy and not stressed, at the vets they can be very sick or sore and not in the mood to put up with a cat smooching all over them. A few years ago I was at the vet, Atlas wasnt well (cant remember what) and this lady came in, her 4 year old holding the lead of a Lab puppy, Puppy dragged her over to me and Atlas, I had my hands full and couldnt pick him up, It could have been very very bad had the vet nurse not come and grabbed the dog off this girl (mum thought it was cute... not so much when I told her my dog isnt good with other dogs and was very sick and grumpy..) At a vet EVERY animal should be under control, not just our own, but the vets animals that live there.

I would also be interested in helping donate some money towards keeping it up and running

Maybe one meal a day would help him eat more? He may feel more hungry if he only gets one meal a day?

Roo has no fat in it? (Correct me if i am wrong?) so it wouldnt help him gain weight?

Why do you want to change your food? I know a lot of people say "feed this, dont feed that" but what are they on now and why do you want to change it? The way i see it, if your dog is doing well on the food it is on, why bother changing it?

I dunno if i could go horse... guess it would depend on where it came from? I fed camel in WA, dogs LOVED it I feed once a day, i did go to two a day, but then they were getting up all night to go outside to the loo, so back to one. I feed dry food with bones/beef or chicken mince. I am lucky that they have no problems with food and do well on anything I looked at the prepacket barf here, and it costs way too much, no way i could justify spending that much on food! Good luck!

While i dont agree with it -Wouldnt it be opposite - The animals would be exposed to everything and would build a natural immunity to things?

How can that be good for the Roo? wouldnt it stress it out? Weird vet!

My cat Bella would fail she is sooo dog friendly it is amazing! She has scared Shoeys dog Molly (by sniffing her paws.. Molly is a bit special) and she also didnt really worry about undecideds 4 month old bull terrier when he wanted to play with her I think she would last half a day before being eaten if she was around heaps of dogs like at the vets!

It is no different to having a dog aggressive dog and having to sit in the same room as another dog. I either wait outside, or sit in the corner, as far away from other dogs, i spin her around so she is sitting, facing me, and wont allow her to turn her head around. Kaos LOVES cats, it is just dogs she hates

One of the vets here had a cat - not sure if they still do but at the kennels i worked at they had 4 office cats! OMG, they were inside cats, so we spent a lot of time trying to catch them after someone had let them out, they also had no fear and one would attack dogs, the amount of times they had almost gotten bitten was amazing! Or you would be on the computer doing paperwork, and they would knock everything down and make a huge mess - I love cats, but i can not stand them in a work place When i worked i would lock them out the back, but no one would keep them out there and they would end up in the office again!
