Ring council and complain When I worked at the kennels, I stayed on site for a few weeks, none of the dogs barked at all at night time, and if they did (even one bark) the next door neighbors would be on the phone to council about it!

I hate barking dogs! I do the odd night shift now, i have told all my neighbours, and given them my work number, told them if the dogs are barking, call me and i will get dad to go over and lock them up.

I know most of Ats family, and there are a few others in there who are just as bad, one of the girls, Keera (at the rainbowbridge now :D ) was worse than Atlas !! If possible! She was a shit of a dog.. I loved her so much I just get annoyed when people comment that it must be something I am doing wrong, when I have done all I can to stop this and he still does it. I find it easier and less stressful to manage the problem, dont leave things laying around, make sure he is crated or outside, and all is good Though.. sometimes he is a bit too quick with the toilet rolls :D

holy crap thats bad! If my dog was destroying the house I would be figuring out why! Some dogs just chew. I have had so many people tell me to find out what is causing Atlas to chew, nothing is, he just does it. He is healthy, he isnt hungry, he is not bored, he just chews. I fix it by not leaving him in the house alone, the yard is chew proof, when inside he stays with me, if i can not watch him, he is crated or taken outside.

Atlas just has to look at Kaos in the right (or wrong!) way and she will scream and run off! I often tell her it is no wonder he picks on her, I would too if she was my sister!

how urgent is the money? Maybe give it a week for people to get over christmas and you might find yourself getting more? Myself, i dont get paid till next week, so I cant afford to bid on anything and I am sure there are many others in the same boat

Atlas is 6.5, will he grow out of it? At the moment he is picking on Kaos, there are a few bones in the yard that he has no interest in... until she tries to chew one, then he will grab it and run after her, wagging his tail having the best time, while she runs away crying (she is a sook!) Tonight is the last night, he has the bones now and she is inside while I am at work, they all get thrown out tomorrow so she can go out without being picked on. He often reminds me of how my brothers were with me... he gets the same look in his eyes when teasing her as they did when teasing me! ;)

i was going to say, I dont think Atlas has made it out of his teenage years He pushes the boundaries every day with me, I feel so bad having to be on top of him every second of every day, but life would be shit if I let him get away with everything he tries!!!

Ok, just started treatment tonight, just had the bath in the shampoo.. thought i had a great set up, cat litter tray (unused!) with the stuff to soak him in, the i could stand him in it for 10 mins, then carry to bath.. all good.. till about the 3 min mark when he got sick of standing, and laid down in the whole litter tray!! So we went from a foot soak, to a tummy and foot soak Just waiting for his feet to dry to put the cream on, also getting nails cut this week, so will take some updated photos as we go. Does anyone know where i get flax seed oil from? I went to the chemist as well as the supermarket and they had none, i did manage to get some in tablet type ones, but i couldnt find the liquid?

And find a breeder who know what they are talking about. I took a risk with getting Kaos, but it worked out well, had i got a dominant dog, shit would have hit the fan here! No way Atlas would have let another dog take over his position as top dog, it would have been a nightmare. Kaos is the biggest sook, At just has to look at her and she will run away crying

Go read the thread about the Dashie that attacked the AmStaff, just because something is a different breed does not mean you wont have problems I have a Bull Terrier and a Staffy, I will always have bull breeds, either 2 staffys next time round, or one of each again.

I was thinking the same... I would be pissed if they only kept my dog for 50 mins, i dont know what signs there are if there is any trouble after the operation.. At had a grass seed once in his paw, i went in and they had nothing else to do, so knocked him out on the spot and pulled it out, then gave him that stuff to wake him up, it took a few mins... i was going home to do nothing all day, vet still made me leave him there for a few hours, just in case there were any problems... On the desexing side,Atlas got done at about 3 years, due to health reasons, and our old Bulldog was done at 6, both coped fine, and Atlas did stop cocking his leg!!

I keep meaning to take a trip to Visit Pax, I talked to her about the kennels before and am inpressed. Happy to drive any distance to put my guys in a good kennel !

You dont padlock your gate Agree - you dont padlock the gate? You would be amazed at how many people dont lock their gates, most of the pet sitting jobs i do, i access the house via the back gate, that is never locked!

Couldnt agree more! My house isnt child proof, but i know when i ask my best friend to visit, that the kids will be there with her, i wouldnt dream of telling her to come, but the kids have to go elsewhere! I do believe it is different if it was a party, or a wedding or something like that, but just for a visit, my friend would tell me to F off if i told her her children were not welcome in my house.

I just got home from work, my pets dont care about them, i did have kaos inside, crated, but only because she is in one of her "i dont like Atlas" moods and wouldnt go out in the yard with him!

No, not just you 9 months and not toilet trained? what are they doing? I dont mind if people bring their dogs here, but they must let me know first, and they have to be ok around my cats. If they are a puppy, i dont mind if they are not toilet trained, but as Adults they must be, and not mark!! I had a DOLer stay for a few days with her 2 dogs, and they were great, the only problem is one of them was scared of my cat ;) My dogs are also dog aggressive, I have the set up to keep everyone away from each other, but if you just showed up here, dont expect the dog to be welcome!
