U-turn Or About Turn For Competition
ness replied to LilBailey's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I don't care . Kenzie will do it when I stop heeling if she is psycho and gets out of position. I'll stop and she will set herself back into correct position with a huge leap . -
Increased distraction of having it on the ground versus having the object on the handler.

Yeah they are pretty awesome . Kenzie jumps up too so not sure what I'll do with her. -

Interesting - they made no comment about the finish though and more about my left turns. No idea as I got a judge friend to watch the video and she couldn't see why we had failed. Never mind. -
I thought there was one worm type that interceptor doesn't cover but I can't for the life of me remember.

Not sure why that should matter Jules. You have given the dog a signal to finish (as it was in this case). The signal you use is irrelevant. There is nothing in the rules to dictate the signal you use as long as its not extended. Like I said it wasn't of consequence to me and I got a bit of a laugh out of the fact she had offered the other finish. -
Kenzie was C3 vaccinated at 6 weeks and then on recommendation from the breeder she was vaccinated at 13 weeks rather than 12 weeks and we skipped the third puppy vaccination. Her next vaccination will be at 15 months.

Well then I must just not have been popular on NYE Xena cos I was told I failed signals heelwork because of it yet friends watched the video and said that was being unharshly done by and they probably would have scraped her through. Not that it mattered and I found it quite funny considering I never trained it  . ETA. Besides I have already broken my new dog who thinks circling around me is the best game ever. Well it beats her flying back and crashing into me . -

Not sure judge didn't like the finish. Shouldn't have mattered which I signalled as long as I did one or the other. I guess the flip was probably a bit messy. -

I got pinged in UD for a flip finish (will admit the dog doesn't actually do flip finishes normally but chose to on this occasion). Never mind as she had failed another exercise but if they want to fail you they are much more likely to find a reason to fail the flip finish then the around the back finish. -
I used tear mender glue - think its kept a small amount of tip in the ear although that might change as she gets older.

Ah ok might just stick to human quality mince when I do mince then.
-
Piper yeah Ness eats anything true. So what did your girls think of them?
-
My local one is Mitcham should have tried Pasadena on the way back from the beach but didn't even think about it. I am worried Kenzie might not eat them anyway so they would be wasted.
-
Think I should suggest I need a commission for recommending him next time I go - help fund my girls regular visits .
-
I tried our local foodland which is quite a big store and couldn't find them. The frosty paws ice cream treats were in the freezer next to where they have the human ice creams. Presumed they might be in the same spot maybe they are somewhere else . Will have another look tomorrow. Although doubt miss fussy pot will eat them anyway.

Bugger I had a look at our local one and couldn't find them. Have seen the frosty paw ice creams there though so will keep a look out.

Bully - I just wish my girls weren't so keen on visiting him. Well ok maybe just Kenzie who doesn't want to leave .
-
Matthew Condon - Chiropet http://www.chiropet.com.au/contact.html I have taken both my girls to him. My older girl goes semi-regularly since she is an active performance dog. My younger one has had a few issues so has been to him twice now as well. He is very good and even my shy girl is happy to be treated by him.

Pretty unlikely that the instructor is a DOLiner - I know which club they are talking about :p .
-
If you want to PM me which club I would be interested - also in Adelaide. Can highly recommend CBS (Canine Behavioural School) as a club though

I think they rang her at the office Cosmolo not through her website. Her work is in the pet industry and not linked to either of her signatures.

That is unless your Kenzie and feel the urge to chew your kibble a zillion times before finally consuming it and they are just the tiny eagle pack kibble . I only hazard to think how long it would take her on a bit of advance .

Like that one Luke W .

Like Vickie's suggestion - maybe we can do a bulk batch. I also need one with a don't bitch to me now can't you see we are training .
