Hmmm betcha Kenzie would give Scoota a run for his money in the squeaking department . Red i-squeaks are the fav here too. -

RubyStar. I think it would be a close call between Ptolomy liking them more and Lexi liking them more . -
 Ptolomy about the gloves - think Ness has got the same and I don't even always jackpot gloves at training. She has decided waiting is an optional extra and she might as well hurry up with bringing her glove so she can go and get the reward. At the moment I am not so sure Jackpots will work for my baby but I guess time will tell.

I is jealous of Ptolomy, PAX, Whitka and 4Paws  but Kenzie will love her new purple jolly ball . -
Hmmm interesting suggestion caffy. I worked out last night that Kenzie has decided running around traffic cones is self rewarding. I set the cones up to work on figure 8s in the yard she was heeling towards them and next thing she shot through to circle one. Never even considered that might enter her little mind at the time although I probably should have  . Not quite up to that level of distraction yet obviously.

Hmm PAX you don't have the whole story. I got her retrieving her metal article quite happy. In early January I was playing 2 toy using a rope toy and the metal article. Next thing I have a dog on three legs so I think she might have some how linked retrieving the article with pain - life is never easy. Not to mention she isn't really foodie either. I had limited success setting both of the girls up in my room and handing them the metal article one after each other. I also did some dumbbell holding with Kenzie and when she was keen on the game I would throw in a metal article so she grabbed it without thinking. ETA. I think Sue is going to help me put some training manners on my baby and make sure I am consistent with Ness  .

SD you can teach Kenzie to hold her metal since she seems to hate it :D :D . Sue H told me I was naughty as well so not having a good night - she said she should whip my butt in to gear when she is over though .
-
Kenzie would probably leave bruise in your arm if you weren't a stranger . Ness would just con you out of all your food .
-
Fine then I'll sick a couple of feral BCs on to you SD .
-
And what about me SD or are you only looking forward to meeting Leema .
-
That is correct SD - only working spots for agility for dogs at trialling level and minimum of 18 months - which I wasn't too happy about at all  - anybody think I could pass my 13 month old baby off as a pre-trialling 18 month old .
-
 SD - but problem with the wind up Kenzie bear is the longer you play heeling for the more OTT she becomes and then she just decides stuff yah and attaches herself to your sleeve . As for her recalls well hmmmm we need some serious work on application of brakes  . Her retrieves are for the same reason going to be difficult due to lack of brakes on the return. I have to say I think she has been watching that Moe Strenfel foundation dvd in my absence as there is a lot in there about having the dog jump up in front to receive there reward - Kenzie seems to have taken that as gospel so she will coming flying in and throw herself at me.
-
 SD - so will get to meet you at last hey. Kenzie thinks heeling is the best thing since sliced bread and likes pushing me to work her .
-
 actually considering each of the sessions is only $10 (so $40 for the weekend) and the value of the information that she is bound to share it makes it a very good deal to attend - especially if you have free accomodation  . Forms and money have to be submitted by the 6th of April and they can be downloaded from the DogsSA website .
-
Sure am going to both the obedience and the agility seminars SD - considering how hard I had to push to get her here I wouldn't not be going  . Besides I am responsible for chaperoning her while she is in Adelaide .
-
Don't think so SD you should come to Adelaide .
-
Not a game as such SD although I guess you could use it as one. What I did at the trial the other weekend was a restrained recall to heel type game. I went over to the ring with 2-3 treats when the dog prior to me was in the ring. Ness could watch where I was and I had shown her the food before I left. Just as the dog was leaving the ring after the jumps had been adjusted I had my friend walk her to me - well ok I think it was more my friend was dragged over to me. I turned my back to Ness and when she was pulling hard to get to me my friend released her (only a short distance as we were at a trial but at training you could use a greater distance). I fed her those few pieces of food in heel position and into the ring we went. Must have worked brilliantly as she was firing on all cylinders and walked out with a 27/30 and her best heelwork score in the ring but she was also very "up" and animated. speaking of Sue H think its only 5 weeks till she is in Adelaide and I am hoping to learn plenty .

The question is Ptolomy is RubyStar happy to have it shipped to you - we know how you have such a fettish for i-squeaks she might never see hers if you get your hands on them ;) :D . -
;) about doing some more basic training - yeah I am a slacker and haven't done as much as I should but we are going in a mock trial next weekend so will see just how much she still needs to learn .
-
Fantastic work everybody - hope everybody has continued success.

I could send it again if you want laffi - are you sure  . -
ROFL angelsun - hmmm so has somebody else from Adelaide approached you. I forwarded the information to a few people in the hope we could get somebody who might run with it.

I really love my weave poles that I purchased from Murray Tyler in Victoria - on a base plate and good quality although not exceedingly cheap either.

Sure its not urgent she only killed one  and I salvaged it before it was too badly injured.
