As someone with a naked bum breed, I would be inclined to trim some of it off, so it is in balance with the rest of his coat.

azawak (however it is spelled?)

It isn't just to do with weight on a dog, some dogs just can not tolerate the amount of fat in pigs ears, mine are one breed where you need to watch the fat content.

What's an english shepherd? never heard of them in england! lol

If you are on facebook, here's a link to all the dogs shown at a UK champ show this summer, you can see the various colours and coat types. They are on my wish list but can't justify the £2000 price tag on a show quality griff in the UK http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1829...mp;l=035fa16183

have done and directed him to the breed clubs and mentioned what health testing should be done!
-
and the reply to my question... He wants me to send him a picture of a dog i haven't got for sale??
-
I'm over the rude emails, they can get a polite reply when I get a polite enquiry. That type would probably mark you as a puppy farmer if you said 'which bitch'!
-
I followed fifis suggestion and still awaiting a reply! It didn't strike me as being a puppy enquiry, more of a 'can i have a cheap bitch to farm out a few litters from'
-
only breeders can post replies in this forum. Have you checked out the breeds 101 and the section above general for chat threads about different breeds?
-
It is rather a random email, I am not advertising any available dogs and haven't had a litter since April with no plans to breed anytime soon.
-
I wash out mine in the dog bath (48" crate), chuck in some soapy water/disinfectant and then shower off and leave to drain over the bath.
-
Great!! Email sent now (I didn't think they would want to post to a non client in another hemisphere!)

Congrats on buying a mini pup! Don't stress about dosing times, there is some flexibility to the schedule. I use milbemax on pups that age, then use Drontal normally with the adults, sometimes I change brand to make sure all worm types are covered.
-
I've decided to take a break from breeding for awhile, simply because of having to deal with puppy enquiries and all the rest of it
-
Is this an email newsletter? Sounds like it would be interesting to get.

some dogs can be allergic to tea tree oil, so I would look at using alternatives, like bitter apple spray
-
Are you sure it is the bitch wetting her bed and not the male marking on it?

How would they know what shampoo you had used, unless you tell them? -
So why wouldn't you want to keep a dog if she is outstanding?
-
Oh, I think foreign exhibitors get the chance to delay the qualification for a year to enable them to get their dogs passport sorted out - it may have changed now but that was certainly the case in the past.
-
The entries for the show close at the end of December (can't remember the exact date off hand) so any time you qualify for Crufts between then at the show in March will qualify the dog for the following year. The Crufts website will list all the qualifying shows in the various countries.

( you can still buy Vitapoint in the supermarkets, at least in the UK) -
I take the coat out on mine when they are between 3 and 4 months old, as we can't start showing until 6 months of age, so I time it so they can go into the showring with a new hard coat.
