  1. Oh. I'm not saying its acceptable or that they wont inflict damage. But I do know Id prefer to have below knee height & under 10kgs come at me Vs anything over about. ..20...and I doubt know what I'd do if 45+ had a go.
  2. Interesting feedback Panto. I haven't tried it, but I've only seen good things about it.
  3. Probably a bit of little dog syndrome too. It's "funny" when a 3kg Chi loses its shit. Its diwn right scary when a 45 kilo rotty does it...
  4. Dads Weimaraner bitches were tattooed. Britty lived well into her teens & it was obvious but not easy to read from memory. They'd have been done in the 80s, not sure what method they'd have used.
  5. Our previous family vet threw her tat gun away when she started microchipping. She hated it!
  6. Someone once told me some rescue places associated with vet schools do it so students can practice their desexing & tattooing. No idea if that's true... but her young bitch (under 4 years) was tattooed on desexing & release as a young pup
  7. Really, honest to god horrible thing to happen. I especially feel for her daughter who found her But Kerrie, the neighbour is a douche. http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-08-02/woman-mauled-to-death-by-dogs-at-boarding-kennel/8766934?pfmredir=sm edited: I had the wrong neighbor.
  8. Sounds ok to me. My only concern would be 13 hours without a loo break? That's a long time. It's possible you have that covered, I used a dog walker (& later hubby was able to get home for his lunch break & a play & a wee). Which helped ease my mind.
  9. Indeed it was Roova. Just what the Dr ordered.
  10. 31. I've just had a weekend away, in Napier. Very much needed. Missed the very beginning of this by minutes.... but it was beautiful.
  11. Well thats good (& bad news). Hope she's really on the up & continues to improve.
  12. No. There's not, but it happens far, far too often. Seeing your GP/ vet is at least a positive step.
  13. I've only come across it once while I was pet sitting. Never fed it personally as Scottie was grain free but I wasn't overly impressed with the ingredients. The fella who was eating it was an obese lab who seemed to love it... but he also loved apples & smackos & nealry barreled me over for Ziwipeak on the day I did a meet & greet with him. I think there are better choices here in NZ :/ No idea why your guys turned their noses up. It could be that its essentially floor sweepings?
  14. Small breed kibble is usually much smaller in size. She'slikely to be a tiny wee thing so if you use it you may have to break it with a mallet /hamner or soak it to soften it up. Most places that sell that brand should return or exchange.
  15. Trying to wrap his dogs in cling wrap to keep the fleas away?
  16. It is beautiful Perse. And I don't even live in the "beautifulliest" part. I must say my drive to work is usually very pretty but limited safe space to pull over
  17. yes to cold. Sadly - that's the driveway into work - so it would have been no earlier than 7.30 - probably just after 8. (not "early" in my books.)
  18. 30. Can't believe we're up to week 30!!! A lazy one, actually taken last week (shh).
  19. Great update @Thistle the dog. Nice to see the thread bumped back up. It's been quiet in here (as you can probably tell).
  20. Pleasureis all mine. Don't tell Stevie, but I think Minnie is adorable And yes... I can imagine that wouldbe quite a sight!
