  1. No problems. Looks like Hamilton is the place to be if you've got a problem dog!
  2. Can't vouch for any of them but (just in case anyone comes via this thread needing similar), lots of recommendations for; Dr Clare Browne, Diana Bird, Jess Beer - Kiwi vet behaviour (Auckland)
  3. Assuming you're in the general Sydney area... you could try Sydney cats & dogs hone if you're only wed to size* (and obviously a few other things) If you've become 100% sure you want a grey... they do have them very occasionally but I assume you'd have to look ekse where
  4. Im so far from an expert its not funny - but I see this as "bringer of good things" not a reward as such.
  5. They look huge in that photo! I suppose because tgey have such long bodies!
  6. Bribery? Can you organise for him to "come home" while you're in the yard so she can see him coming and he just lobs delightful treats at her - gradually working towards being able to get in the house quietly? It can always come from her daily kibble allowance. As for the bones - I'd maybe play tough love - if she wont take it from him - he can either leave it in her bowl or she can have it offered to her another time.
  7. I know right! I got a better neck shot but deleted it because the closer one had a fuzzy head. I adore them. Someone was telling me tge other day swans were native to both Oz & NZ but all the kiwi ones were killed / died off so they imported a heap back in from us.
  8. 39: I've been watching one swannie for weeks & wondering if #2 was around. Clearly the answer is yes.
  9. Couldn't agree more. I look at a photo of the boy every day & wish I'dhad just one more cuddle
  10. No idea if it is. But seems unlikely. I mean if you're flying a horse chances are its crazy valuable & for more reasons than to (just) be a companion animal. Surely they'd sedate at best.
  11. Well - no - but if your "hinky radar" (as a mate calls it) is going off it's usually a good thing to listen to.
  12. Did they have deep gruff voices? Did the conversation sound something like this: "Hello Mummy ...errr.... Valued Customer... The errr really lovely pet supplies man will be in town soon... you should buy all the things for your incredibly cute, darling, well behaved puppies. All the things. Ok? Bye" But in all seriousness, that sounds awesome.
  13. Sounds like you're very concerned about the transaction :/
  14. 37: I've photographed this beach before - it's on our "standard" tourist loop. Very choppy this weekend just past. IMG_3797 38: This... Well... I had a girlfriend who flew down specifically to go to a daffodil farm she'd read about and it was amazing. Approx (I think just over) 2000 varieties of Daff. I only saw abut 2/3 of the place before I had to call it and take a seat in the shade! Really struggled to get a good shot, but also to pick a photo so the rest are here including the vase shots I took of the small amount I picked. My girlfriend went home with well over 60 stems IMG_380 http://taniwhadaffodils.co.nz/
  15. I flew with my dog to NZ (we were on the same flight) and I certainly wasn't made aware of a vet on board. An MPI (govt. Vet) did have to check him before he was released to me.
  16. Back to basics. Start taking him out to toilet as often as possible, as you would with a puppy. Praise etc. The whole box & dice. It's a bandaid solution, but a work around with ever is going on. If its more sinister it'll give you a good idea of how often he's going & volume and if its something else it'll help him not get into bad habits. Might pay to revisit the use of the doggy door too (basic training & praise) - just in case something "traumatic" happened there you're not aware of.
  17. I have the same doona cover. They make great dog blankets.
  18. I know exactlywhat you mean. PS love the photo @Zena's mum. I have many similar ones myself
