23. Something NOT 5 minutes from home! Yay! Popped out to a little town/hamlet/settlement 30 mins out of town in the opposite direction to me the other day and discovered this gorgeous little deco lookout. It was just adorable. The view was lovely, rolling green hills and sheep - but this little building just spoke to me. An easy inclusion on the family tour drive for all subsequent visitors. Edited to add: Straight off the fairly old smart phone. No editing. Look at that sky! We don't get those stunning clear days as often as I would like, but when we do holy smokes they're killer!

We lived in a snall county town fir a long time & our old man used to howl at sirens. He stopped when dad moved to Sydney (thank goodness). We assumedit was because there was too many. -
Thoughts on these issues?

I've picked my dogs up (and held them) in 2 situations where they were in danger - and yes - it puts you in more danger - but I'd rather a doctors bill than a vets bill LOL. The last time it happened - about 18 months-2 years ago it was a dog attack and I held him up as high as I could (he was 10 kilos) while I kicked the attacking labrador and yelled for help. I have also picked up and physically moved my dogs out of the way or picked them up (well scottie) and turned my back / blocked sight to an oncoming dog to help avoid aggro in a confined space. It might not be the most amazing pet ownership but it works. -

Sigh. Turning point for me - the light bulb moment if you will was a vet client we had who'd been sold a Jack Russell pup. Problem was she was 90 & on a walker. How that would have ended well is still beyond me. Anyhow... as usual.... I'm -

Oh. What? You mean designer mixes DON'T just have the best aspects of both parents? From every add I have read they're 100% guaranteed, always adorable, always well behaved, only inherit the good points of their parents, don't shed and can wash and wax my car and do my tax returns. You're telling me this is not the case? </ end sarcasm> *Also Not taking a dig at you HMD, Just in a mood today -
felt that way about our Mac too - so much so I stopped using it and hubby took it over. I was lucky and got a new PC when I went back to uni. That said, it lasted 7 years, worked like a mongrel dog and never once got a virus - my pc craps it's pants, so to speak, fairly regulary and is as buggy as all get out, so the mac was worth every penny.

very cute. I like them a bit longer - like knowing their bums are covered.

Sounds like everyone's settling in nicely to their new lives at Chateau Danny (well, except poor Princess Tamar). Sounds like you're in for a toasty winter and yeh - photos can be a pain. I use flikr and an app on my smart phone (if you have one) - send the image to flickr via the app and let it take as long as it likes - then either paste the link back into the browser on my phone (I dont use the tapatalk app here) or wait til I'm on my laptop next. I actually find a link on my phone is easiest. I wonder if photobucket has an app?

That particular designer mix is pretty popular I believe. I'm sure you can probably figure out the name or just put "beagle cross cavalier" into google. or maybe I'm jaded and one of them had that mix as a kid... -
They grow under pines. Dont ever recall seeing them at home, but maybe threads my shoddy memory
