  1. Now that is some serious grant application skills in action. Wow just wow.

  3. I can see change beginning to happen, but it is a slow process and a culture change needs to go along with it. Sadly until the message gets to the grassroots workers also that they are expected to reach out for other options such as rescue needless deaths will continue to happen.
  4. It is also peak time for ringworm, did your vet scrap the bald spots or use a black light?
  5. Sorted this pup will be going to Gosford paws. Interesting, I didnt know BDR had moved and are quite close now.
  6. Hi guys I have been contacted by someone looking to surrender a "8mth old female natural bob tail rotty" Pup is too bouncy for the toddlers in the household. Dog is currently in the central coast and undesexed so I wouldnt like her snapped up by a byb. Note she has a "lobster claw" deformity to her front foot which will require fixing when she is desexed.
  7. I am sitting here after picking my dog up from the emergency vet due to a cut foot $900 poorer. $4000 is easily spent.
  8. I have the worse feeling in my stomach at the moment. The countdown to the 9pm and 12pm fireworks for me is when the dogs start running and the carnage starts happening on the road because of it. I will be at work this year so feel rather helpless.
  9. woo hoo I figured it out finally. go to the drop box like before, then at the bottom of the code box it is now pre selected on embed just click on the html circle instead and it is back to normal. It should remember the choice for the future. catching up on my updates now...
  10. I would ask if your vet can offer quarantine boarding. If pup stays at the pound for quarantine you risk exposure during the quarantine period. Parvo is an unfortunate risk for all Sydney pounds during summer especially. If your pup is black and tan the risk is even greater.
  11. What she said^^ If she is a suitable adopter then she can adopt puss back otherwise she is no longer the legal owner.
  12. maybe let him know that if the dog is declared a menace and consequently bites someone the fines are up to $77000. That might get his attention.
  13. Best dogs in the world I never understood how wonderful they were until I adopted my first, they are amazing little dogs. I want a whole herd of them like wonderful Doler Esky has
  14. Pet barn has a heap of cute clothes in. Plus if you are a member of their friends for life club you get free antlers with any purchase
  15. I am hopeful that it is a good step in the right direction. One thing I dont like is that animals released under this agreement all come with full vet work, although it is at a "nominal fee" these animals have been through the assessment process. What about the elderly, sick, unsocialised or with breed specific traits that wont pass? These are the ones most in need.
  16. I have just seen this about RSPCA NSW commencing formal rescue partnerships, I have emailed for information but in the meantime has anyone seen this in action yet? Fingers crossed it will be the start of alot of lives saved. http://rspcansw.blogspot.com.au/2013/11/rspca-nsw-to-formalise-partnerships.html
  17. whats this application business? I just want to buy it and not answer any stupid questions.
  18. get your friend to check that the chip is properly up to date and registered on the system, its horrifying how many are not. She can also update the chip status to show lost/stolen which will prevent a change of ownership without her being contacted.
