  1. gosford dog paws just put a video up today on their facebook page that might be useful.
  2. Im sorry your girl isnt found yet. If you think you have been hearing her maybe you are, I would recheck every cupboard and crevice in, under and around your home as she may be stuck somewhere small.
  3. The gorgeous Quinton from Gosford Pound recently started training with this program.
  4. There is this little guy ftgh but in nsw, he was actually rehomed via the local rspca shelter a couple of years ago and i remember him to be a great little chap. I am happy to help with anyone either taking him in as a foster or to adopt. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/central-coast-nsw-region/dogs-puppies/pomeraniun-cross-tenterfield/1024660386
  5. I was going to say the same about getting a refund. If it makes you feel better you could always donate the refund to your favourite charity. :)
  6. would that be Som Mon in NZ? :D
  7. isnt he gorgeous!!! I will enjoy following his journey to rediscover his life and his waistline. It was wonderful to see the lovely Amanda today and add another rescue to the list of those working with the somersby shelter for the benefit of the animals. One little brick at a time and we are building a stronger rspca/rescue relationship.
  8. Good news for Felix, hopefully it is the perfect home he has been searching for. :) And while talking about rescue cresties I saw a local one recently who may need rescue assistance soon.
  9. yeah, the lovely nelson will be off to Amanda at Labradog rescue on tuesday. thankyou burkes for your offer too
  10. I have only just discovered Paws for life and sent off an order. Did everyone know they run a rescue offer where you put in the code of a participating rescue and they give one weeks food per order to the rescue. I gave my freebee towards DCH Animal Adoptions (code DCH) I am saving money, its delivered and I am donating all in one transaction
  11. I have just heard from Amanda at Labradog rescue who will be calling the shelter about this boy tomorrow
  12. He looks much bigger in person Poor Nelson has many lumps that will need investigation or watching some are fatty but others may not be, he is desexed already.
  13. Hate to say it but I have another Lab boy in need of assistance who turns 11 in 2 weeks. Messages sent, fingers crossed for good news. Poor nelson is around 60kg
  14. I saw him on Sophie's Choice, knowing how many Crestie Lovers we had on DOL I just had to check him out further. A cold shelter in Tasmania is no place for a hairless dog
  15. I have just spotted this little guy on adoptapet and have emailed the breeder. for anyone looking to adopt here is his link: http://www.adoptapet.com.au/animal/animalDetails.asp?task=search&s=adoption&animalType=3,16&statusID=3&state=7&submitbtn=Find%20Animals&tpage=1&animalid=299684
  16. one thing you may wish to suggest is a desexing scheme for reclaimed strays. Registration of an undesexed dog is $150 in NSW whereas the desexed cost is $40. that $110 difference can be utilised to "fund" a voluntary desexing scheme where the animal can be released home desexed and registered for minimally more money than just the registration cost only. Win Win for council, community and the owner.
  17. Wyong Shire Council raised their surrender fee a few years back from $60 to now $205 to discourage surrenders, its alot cheaper now for people to pts instead.
  18. Here is a link to it online http://theprojecttv.com.au/video.htm The greyhound segment is at the 21 minute mark.
  19. he should start feeling better really quickly once the extra fluid is gone. I am really surprised that the emergency vet didnt pick it up immediately though.
  20. Show the vet the videos if you can yg. That way they will be able to see what he is doing when he is relaxed. Good luck
  21. His heart is really good gillbear. xx That's good. He may be seizing due to lack of oxygen. I use children's benadryl @ .2ml/kg for kennel cough. Maybe give him something that will dry up the secretions for the night. If it is a serious sinus infection there may be a large cavity involved. Good luck, I hope he can be put right very soon. Does he cough after drinking? You may be looking at an aspiration?
  22. That is one seriously ill boy, he will get much worse when he runs out of energy. Are you sure it isn't his heart, he may be in heart failure. If he was mine I would be straight to the vets.
  23. these beauties are now safe with NSW/ACT Labrador rescue Thankyou!!!!!! Bailey and lilly who are now safe
  24. Meet the lovely Coco and Kody a pair of 8 and 10yo Chihuahua x Silky girls who were dumped at Gosford Pound. They have been waiting for their new home for a couple of months now and the weather is getting colder. These two really need their own home to be warm and spoilt. Kody and Coco are good with other small dogs but timid with larger ones. The shelter believes they may have had elderly owners who were not able to care for them properly, as they came in severely flea infested, underweight and barely able to walk due to badly overgrown nails. They have had more than a few of their teeth removed due to shocking dental disease. Coco and Kody's favourite things are to snuggle up on your lap and spend the day just hanging around with their doggy companions. http://www.gosforddogpaws.com/Adoption-Dogs-Cats.html
  25. Thanks, I will Pm them. I have also sent a message to labradog rescue.
