  1. They've branded the food "Australian Natural Health".
  2. I think they're better known for dog shampoo, but have recently released their "super premium dog foods". It looks very good (which it should be given the price). Aussie company. Interestingly their Facebook page has 3 times the following of Black Hawk, which is strange seeing as not many people seem to have heard of them (active marketing probably, $$$). I'm trying to gather any info I can before writing a review on Pet Food Reviews.
  3. Hi stressmagnet, That's really kind and honourable given your difficult situation. I'm inspired to help if I can - I have hosting for .NET/PHP and Wordpress, so if you do any websites for rescue organisations I'd be happy to host them for free if they need it. The Wordpress host I use is really good, so it depends what you do. Let me know if I can help :)
  4. I'm interested to know if anyone feeds Ivory Coat, and if so what's their experience of it? http://ivorycoat.com.au/ Retrospectively this is my review - Ivory Coat Australian Natural Health Thanks
  5. I contacted Ivory Coat to ask about their foods, and directly inquired about the high level of protein. They replied within a few hours, and their response was well informed and in keeping with my thoughts. This is what they said about the protein:
  6. If they can fine her up to $50k and imprison her for 5 years, then why can't they ban her from owning another dog!?? $50k + 5 years sounds fair to me, so that's what she should get. What happened about the other woman who was breeding dogs in an underground container with no light and little air?
  7. Yep, sorry, my mistake... Are you selling the grain free chicken?
  8. Yep, definite photoshopping with the poker game, but great none-the-less. I love the expressions in most of the photos.
  9. Yep, it's very expensive. The ingredients justify it somewhat, but still...
  10. My mum emailed me these pictures. They made me chuckle so thought I'd share - sorry if you've seen them before doing the rounds. Adorable.
  11. Looks like a decent food to me, and I wouldn't be overly concerned at the protein level - that's testament to the amount of meat in the food. This is what I think -> Ivory Coat Australian Natural Health
  12. Nice to see it's getting more readily available. My Pet Warehouse now sell it - Black Hawk Fish and Potato
  13. I can't see you having any problems with Canidae Grain Free Foundations. There's certainly a lot worse foods you could feed. It's a food I regularly feed to my dog and my cat, and I can't recall ever hearing anything bad about the company. Here's a review of Canidae Grain Free.
  14. Hi Yonjuro, yep there's some benefits of brewers yeast. Reading your comment I realised I had a mistake in the review - Hills use brewers rice not yeast, and there's no nutritional value in that. Worse that it constitutes the bulk of the food.
  15. #TotalEclipseOfTheHeart. I always was a fan of Bonnie Tyler
  16. Sorry to hear of your dog isn't well. The liver is something that can heal with the correct diet so it's worth doing your own research. Personally I think Prescription Diet is awful - Read my review for k/d (Your vet would've recommended l/d which is still similar): http://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/dry-dog-food/hills-prescription-diet-kd/ Here's a really good article worth reading top to bottom: http://dogaware.com/health/liver.html
  17. I watched the video the other day but it wasn't that clear. The guy had obviously planned it and knew the dog's behaviour. I hope someone recognises him and they find Beau. I had two of my cats stolen, as did some other people in my neighbourhood. We knew an elderly woman stole them, but we never managed to track her down. It's heartbreaking having a pet family member stolen
  18. Thanks guys. When I ordered from Booktopia they said it was in stock, but it wasn't. From reading Serena's FB page it seems like it's difficult to get hold of. I've ordered another copy from Readings, so fingers crossed.
  19. Just checking in on this... I'm still waiting for my copy from Booktopia. Has anyone had success sourcing it elsewhere as I might re-order?
  20. And here's proof, before you get the wrong idea...
  21. Hold on hold on Liz... you say you're getting a puppy for your husband... ...but you're getting it for yourself too I bet :)
  22. So your dog has had no problems with dry food in the past? Did she stop eating it when you changed brands, or did she stop eating it for no apparent reason? Dogs can get confused with a new food and take time to adjust, or when they're eating a food they find easier to digest then they may cut down their intake. If you're feeding wet food too and she's getting what she needs from that then that could be the reason she's leaving the dry. Or she might be finding another source of food, such as in the garden... I'd recommend checking in with your vet as it could be a dentistry issue or something else.
