  1. OK... Rhapsody Prey = 40 Pack = 50 Defense - Fight = 5 Defense - Flight = 40 Sooty Prey = 70 Pack = 75 Defense - Fight = 30 Defense - Flight = 35 Won't do Queenie, she's asleep most of the time!
  2. Hmmm, can't give any advice but I'd be interested in the answer to this one too.
  3. So sorry for your loss Paula. Be free and have fun at the Rainbow Bridge Gremlin.
  4. We feed ours Natural Balance (not Dick van Pattens, it's made in WA). They love it and we've had no problem with allergies. I know that GreyhoundAngel often feeds it to her lot too! I can buy 15kg for $75 delivered, but I think you can get it slightly cheaper over the net in the eastern states. 15kg will last my 3 about 2 weeks. (I have 2 26kg girls and 1 35kg boy)
  5. I think the marbled black and white one is lovely, was expecting it to be more stark. Of course, you know Jye best, I can understand the need for the perfect one. Wasn't given a choice when Griffen died, maybe that was a good thing!
  6. Mel, I'm so sorry. My thoughts will be with you and Jye. Let me know if you need to talk.
  7. Same as everyone else, I would only treat under vet advice. You can easily overdose with panadol, and while it won't kill it can cause liver failure. And I know of several dogs being poisoned by nurofen.
  8. Oh Olly I'm so sorry. I followed Hapi and Asha from the start. You could see how grateful they were for your love and care. Thinking of you. Run free Hapi. :p :D

    Tara

So sorry to hear this Rusky. We thought my boy had arthritis too, when it was cancer. It's really hard to tell. At least she was loved, and her last memories are of being loved and part of a family. Run free Tara.
  10. Oh dear Boxagirl, I'd like to take Sooty for his problems with fear aggression towards other dogs too! Could be interesting... Do they need basic obedience? I hate to admit he's not trained, but it's been difficult, I'd like to learn how to get him to listen to me.
  11. I'm so sorry MSJ, what terrible news. Hopefully the time she has left is measured in years and months. Just love her and make sure her last memories are good ones - all her memories are sure to be good anyway, I know how much you love her! Thinking of you.
  12. Darn greys and their paper thin skin, huh? Hope he's feeling better soon Imy.
  13. I get it delivered to my door for $75 for 15kg. The stores sell the same thing for $80. Have tried many other super premium foods and find it very comparable, with less additives and chemicals.
  14. I feed my dogs Natural Balance (NOT Dick van Patten) It's all natural, and about the only super premium dog food made here in WA! And my dogs look great.
  15. What a gorgeous shaggy girl. So sorry for your loss Stormy. I love that Robert Frost poem. Very fitting.
  16. Losing 2 of your precious furbabies so close together and in such a horrible way is so tragic. My heart is breaking for you too. Thinking of you. Run free Tasha and Sonny.
  17. So sorry to hear of your loss IR. You've had such a rough time of things lately. I saw the photo of Bundy in the other thread, what a handsome boy! And so lucky to have found you, and be loved and cared for up til the end. Run free Bundy. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
  18. All good advice! If your dog is already destroying things as soon as you leave, regardless of the distractions you leave for him, it may be a good idea to get professional help now. It really is worth it. There's some great articles on SA around here. Believe me, and I've been there, you really want to get this under control before it gets worse! And backing off on the spoiling a bit is a small price to pay, he'll be happier too as he's not as anxious all the time. Getting another dog can help sometimes, but sometimes your dog is just so bonded with YOU that it's YOU he's anxious about being separated from, and another dog for company won't help. In fact, it can make it worse as he now has competition for your attention, and he may just end up teaching your new dog bad habits! I would try and get his behaviour under control first before introducing a new dog.
  19. Natural Balance website : Natural Balance BTW, it's not the Dick van Patten's one! I have the 15kg bags of regular energy delivered for $75. Check it out and see what you think. It does contain corn, but when I challenged them on this I was given prompt, well worded feedback, and in comparison to a lot of other foods I decided that it was my preference.
  20. I've been using Natural Balance for a while now and am finding it great. It has no artificial colours or preservatives, by-products, BHA, BHT or ethoxyquins. I also get it delivered to my door from the factory, it arrives the next day! I was feeding California Natural or Innoxa, the only problem I have with these is that they're only available at Pets Paradise. They're great quality, if you don't mind helping PP's profits. : BTW, I have found HuntinHound's advice on premium foods to be helpful and unbiased. I for one appreciate all the information and good advice you have posted in this forum!
  21. I'd love that kind of service! Would be very useful, but would have to be kept clean.
  22. OMG Raz, you never fail to crack me up! Sorry nothing constructive to add. Greyhound hair is bad too (thank goodness they don't shed too much!) am just viewing with interest. Think I might just go with the mohair phase too...

    Apollo

I love my budgie to bits, would hate to think of losing him. So sorry for your loss, they really do have personalities of their own. Sing away Apollo.
  24. Oh how heartbreaking. You tried so hard. He'll be happy and safe now. Thinking of you. Run free Flynn
  25. I am so touched by your the story and pictures of Murphy. Rest in Peace special girl.
