Its a shame you won't be there Ruth. OT - you going to the game on Sat night? I'll be there on Sunday weather dependent. -
I tried the orbee ball with Darcy at the drive training workshop with Steve but he just wasn't interested. Hes really good with food drive though. I worked on it with him at home and then later on at agility and now hes got his 'Agility Duck' which is his drive toy that he goes wild for!

My dogs have been farting less on the orijen. Darcy eats it without complaint (which is HUGE btw). Toppy is always hungry, but I don't think any amount of food will change that :D

Obedience Training In The Campbelltown/picton Area
poocow replied to Ulfhednar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
When I lived at Narellan I trained with: Macarthur Dog Training Club 02 4628 0339 Mrs K Fitzgerald Campbelltown 2560 Email: [email protected] From memory the field that trained at was at Raby on Mondays at 7.30pm -
So sorry for your loss of Penny ;)

Nope, I only feed raw to my dogs (and orijen kibble). Darcy can't have anything with artificial colours, flavours, preservatives etc so I wouldn't even risk it. Looks a bit plastic and artificial to me.

Still going well for my boys on it. I was talking to a friend of mine at the dog park today and she said she feeds her ridgie Pal or Supercoat and asked what I fed. Then I told her the price and she flipped out! This woman earns big bucks, and I earn piddly squat next to her. To me its not about price, its about what the quality of the food is like and if my dogs to well on it. Darcy is the biggest fusspot but he will eat Orijen without me having to reprimand him to go and 'eat his crunchies' - so it gets a big ;) from me! Also been less of the runny poos with him too - don't get me wrong EP Holistic Duck was great, but he seems to be doing slightly better on this. Still doing his spew thing, but I don't think any food would chance that.

I can't help sorry, Darcy is a chronic snorer, we have to turn the tv up!

I'm trying to convince my OH that he should take Toppy in it next year. Darcy and I are much too sedate :p

Congrats! Well done!!! -
Yeah I order through Kerry at petdeli and changed over to orijen, Darcy is really preferring it to the EP Holistic Duck & Oatmeal - hes very fussy! They get dry and normally chicken mince/necks for dinner.

stormie - most clubs break over summer due to the heat kavik - yeah Darcy adores agility. He gets frustrated at obedience and will bark at me to let me know - highly embarrasing! -

It was a couple of years ago for me. I had a great club down at Raby that I did obedience with Darcy in and wanted to keep it going when I moved back home. But it was just too much effort - then I was working weekends so sat and sun classes were out. Back for working Mon-Fri for the time being so agility on a Sat at Manly suits now. Darcy has more fun at agility anyway. -

I was going to join Hornsby and then never got around to it. I tried joining Northern Suburbs but everytime I went on the correct day to join they would use every excuse and just kept turning me away. So I gave up on the obedience thing. -

Yeah I found Castle Hill to be really crowded and wasn't really learning all that much. We now mainly go to Manly on Saturday mornings with the boys, small classes and they're much happier there -

Toppy just loves it, he always has so much fun! Darcy really wasn't interested, he was more keen in going wandering in the nearby paddock  -
Both of my boys were on Eagle Pack Holistic Duck & Oatmeal but we're making the change over to Orijen.

Ok we'll be there. Probably only run Toppy though, will see how Darcy feels. He just went out to vomit (not worrying in itself because he has stomach issues) but then collapsed. Want to keep an eye on him so he has to come with me. -

You coming today Ruth? -
In the meantime you might like to check out the Whole Dog Journal and see if they have anything interesting on it. Here are my search results for obsessive compulsive articles you can buy them separately and if you click on them you can read the intro paragraphs. I have a copy of chill pills somewhere if you want it. If Whole Dog Journal recommends to keep him on a higher carb diet then it might be worth keeping him on EP. Mel. Yeah I'm currently reading 'The dog who loved too much' by the vet behaviouralist Dr Nicholas Dodman. They recommend: 1. Diet suitable to dogs level of activity - Toppy gets 1hr+ run at the dog park daily so not sure if Orijen or even EP is too much for him 2. 20-30mins exercise daily 3. Diverse and interesting environment - Top isn't fussed with toys 4. Medication such as prozac
