  12. Great to see you back Luke - we need some more pics of Barks in the cocker thread
  13. So glad to hear that Hef is well and truely on the road to recovery! I knew he was a fighter
  14. It possibly could have been too rich for him. I personally never had a problem with it regarding Darcy and his host of digestive issues. Will be looking at artemis grain free next for him.
  15. Ziwipeak isn't officially a kibble if you want to get technical
  16. From what I can gather, they irradiate only if the food has not been cooked at over 100°C. Orijen manufactures their foods at much lower cooking temps in order to preserve nutritional and vitamin value etc which cooking at high temperatures remove - so they fail the arbitrary "less than 100°C" test and get whacked with the gamma treatment on import. In that sense, these non-irradiated foods are already pre-irradiated by heat-radiation, so to speak, and so avoid the gamma radiation. Yes it also depends on where the product came from. AQIS has agreements with certain processing plants in NZ and the USA.
  17. I know, I would buy their product if it was available through other outlets.
  18. Hills Science Diet (puppy) - Darcy hated it - grudgingly ate it. Eukanuba - Darcy hated it - real effort to make him eat Eagle Pack Holistic Chicken - wasn't that fussed, still vomitted a lot (seperate issue) Eagle Pack Duck & Oatmeal - better for his stomach, still wasn't that fussed with it. Orijen - gobbled it down like it was the best thing on this planet. Got him up to his highest weight (11kg). ** Only Darcy used as an example as Toppy eats anything and looks good on anything** - when I had fosters I fed them Supercoat as it was cheap and if Darcy ate some it didn't matter (he can't have a lot of things) - what I noticed was that the poos were HUGE!
  19. Yeah if hes really out of it and vomitting I would take him to the vets. I don't take this advice myself as my dog is a vomit machine
  20. I eat herbs. Yes well thats the only possible way you would eat gamma irradiated food.
  21. Gamma irradiation is not used on food for human consumption, only herbs.
