Poppy has left for her new home and her sister is missing her. Lily keeps wanting to go outside looking for her and has taken herself of to the dog runs where they slept together over night. Poor girl just about to go and get her and bring her back inside so she bonds to us more. Poppy happily went off with a DOL'er today. She has gone to be spoilt and live with a variety of other animals as an indoor dog Will let the DOL'er confess her new pup once the trial period is over or once she feels like spilling

One of my desexed dogs marked the curtains in my daughters room after we had an entire dog visit and pee in there. He stopped for about 8 months but started up again a few weeks ago. Ggrrrr.

Plan B, would it be more feasible to give Horse the shot of living with the behaviorist for that two weeks and then go from there? I understand there would still be that risk of not being able to find care after this period, but someone suitable might be able to take him on while they have a better indication of his temp. It would be a risk as he still might not find care and have to go back to the pound, but it might give him that little more of a chance? It's not the best idea but it buys him two more weeks.

Sorry Bartok, I don't buy the whole all dog have teeth thing. This is a giant dog and obviously the element of danger is more of a concern than a dog of two kilos. I'm not giving an opinion either way on Horse as his feedback isn't consistent enough but given his size I can certainly see why there is more cause for concern/discussion.

Mr Stompy makes my ovaries ache I think we need more pics when you can :D
-
I am guessing because he has to serve his time to give his owners a chance to collect him. He was a stray, a found/dumped dog with no id or obvious owner.

Hi there, they are a mixed flock but mainly silver laced Wyandottes. Come for a holiday anytime  and take Tabitha back with you before I keep her for myself. :D Poppy the Maremma pup has someone coming to meet her tomorrow. Fingers crossed it goes well. The potential home is fully aware that Maremmas don't fawn over new people so they aren't expecting to be greeted with bouncy, licky pups. Terrific indoor home for Poppy though who is very soft and people focused for the breed. Her sister is much more aware and already 'guarding', still very sweet though.

Definitely Oldfields for a Newf.

There are forum members whose dogs alert them to their children having seizures, they have not been trained to do this. I think it was Raineth and Suz (can't remember DOL name though). Big Dog Rescue had a house fire years ago and were alerted through their Staffords barking. While I love heroic dog stories more than anything I feel that dangers such as fire then dogs barking is probably more self preservation rather than saving their owners being their priority. It would be great if the stories could have some bull breeds heros so show that they can be loving, loyal pets rather than just vicious killers. I think Suz's dog who lets her know about the seizures is a Stafford too.

Awww, thanks NC - I am just so grateful you let me have him :D Took some pics of the foster girls today. They are through DCH and are ready for loving homes. Both girls are Exotic Shorthair. Good with other cats and well behaved dogs. Tabitha:

Try tinned hills a/d available from the vet. It is for critical care patients and supposedly highly palatable. It is watered down easily enough to be syringe fed (I do this with sick chooks). good luck :)

I'm sorry Esky, I can't help with the oxygen but I am thinking of you.

Problem With Hair Snagging In Guard On Clipper
Clyde replied to fuzzy82's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
New blades are factory sharpened and sometimes need a better job done. Plastic combs are terrible, if wanting to use combs you are better off with Wahl SS combs (and use a 30 blade underneath). -
I'm sorry for your loss, she was certainly a very pretty and happy looking girl

Well, while everyone is admiring Neville I have two female versions of him needing homes (exotics). Will get some pics today. I adopted Neville years ago from DCH. He is a real b@$tard and the boss of the farm. He has sorted out many a dog, one of those one in a million cats that I could not ever imagine having in my life jinx, I don't know but it had better be soon, they are just so cuddly. Thanks Trina - you're right everyone seems to have something atm.

Sweet relief, although temporary I am sure  Yes, but it's not on. It was before as G had it on but when the pups joined her they got too hot. They are literally watching tele still.
-
Boronia, you can just make out the other little pup hiding near the vegie trug behind Nev. She's the one that got too bold
-
He is permanently unimpressed Harley  My daughter has had the flu all week so now Poppy and Lily are watching tv with her
-
They've already been given a serve from Neville the cat and now know their place

How cute are these little girls? Meet Poppy and Lily. They are available through Andrea http://www.companionsforlife.com.au/ and being fostered in the Southern Highlands
