  1. I have heard only good things about Pax's kennels but at this stage I will only use a house sitter. I have a lovely girl who stays here when I go away. Whereabouts in Sydney are you?

    Asher

I can't believe it's been two years! I remember Asher - such a beautiful boy. A lovely tribute for such a gorgeous dog
  3. Sounds just like my little 'darling'. He is a little older than yours and just coming through to the other side (I think/hope/pray). I don't let him near any dogs which I think he can walk all over and I find suitable older dogs to introduce him to that will put him in his place without terrifying him. It seems to be working. Instead of launching himself at other dogs faces or humping them he is now squirming a little and licking their mouth - he's still rude and annoying but he is learning there has to be some sort of pecking order and respect with other dogs. Good luck!
  4. Yeh Petsforce were terrible to deal with - it's no wonder they are no longer!
  5. GReat shots! My fave is the 2nd Bulldog one, whose dog is that? Love the GSD, and then the sad face Pointer - the Pei too! They're all brilliant
  6. I wonder how many of these dogs were responsibly bred? I also think it's a fair chance that the SBT's and ACD's are more popular among 'rough society' too, thus the numbers of these breeds are higher. Not to mention that any knee high cross breed is labelled a Staffy and anything bigger than that is labelled a Mastiff. Next, Mastiffs will be on the list even though they're really not a common breed at all
  7. Oh... I wonder what they want for it/why they're selling... Looks like a fabulous set up.
  8. Hey Huski .... wasn't Camp Tailwaggers put up for sale not so long ago? LOL ..... <sigh> dreaming on ............... Is this is? Is it just the conference part or the boarding kennels too? http://www.coolangattapetmotel.com/
  9. My Stafford ticks all those boxes, she is 15kg. Failing that - a Poodle! Although there is a great little Papillon at agility.
  10. Well that's what the last 3 pages of posters have been trying to tell you.
  11. My vote is for Ruthless Leather and also Huga's Lovebird collars (both advertise in Commercial on here).
  12. http://www.themercury.com.au/article/2010/...mania-news.html * Pics of Zara available on Mercury website. Oh dear - talk about the bogan, the pot and the kettle He's just dug the breed that little bit further........
  13. Cordy just had her elderly Labradors' hind leg removed. She appears to coping brilliantly. Perhaps shoot her off a PM as she has had a few rescues dog legs removed too.
  14. Gladesville Veterinary Hospital treat quite a few rabbits.
  15. That park is renowned for blues, there are way too many dogs there at peak times. I've found the oval at St Ives to be really good. Most of the people who go there for training or agility use it so they are very dog savvy and not ignorant about any issues their dogs have. It doesn't ever get very busy, I know it's that bit further away for you though. I would report it for sure. Hi Clyde, is the St Ives oval open at all times or is it restricted to different times? I know that there are horse shows on there at different times, but wasn't sure if it was open at other times. There is also a smaller enclosed area, is this for the smaller dogs? The oval is always open as such but if there is a horse event then they take precedent. There are now fenced off areas over near the training area too which is great for people whose dogs might not come back! So there are about 4 options there, the only time you might luck out is a Saturday avo if there's horse stuff and dog training going on. AFAIK there is no small dog/big dog area but as there is rarely that many people there it's easy to avoid either/or.
  16. Those cabins look heaps better than the ones at Riverwood Downs. Rd is great as everyone has said, but the spa cabins are a rip off for what they are. If I went back I wouldnt stay in a regular cabin - probably a step down in terms of accommodation but more appropriately priced.
  17. I think you've just described every Cavalier I groom :D They all look at me with loving eyes and pleading me to tell them that they're a good dog with their tail wagging the whole time. I say I love them and it brings on a flurry of kisses and tail wags
  18. Off the top of my head the only negative as such with the breed is the ears - I have a thing about smelly ears, and the grooming (although it's not as bad as some). If they can put up with kisses and an ever wagging back end 24/7 they'll be right I think they are a gorgeous breed, one of the most consistent in that they always come in for their groom with their bums wagging a mile a minute as if 'where's the party?'. They have a very vacant look in their eyes (sorry Cocker peeps) and I often wonder if there's anything going on inside but they are actually bright and very trainable.
  19. Oh, I'd forgotten about him and have been paying twice that amount. Cheers!
  20. Definitely call them. Maybe you just need a new element.
